If he gets the same damn punishment as Chris Henry did (8 games for multiple traffic and 2 Marijuana charges), I am gonna be pissed. No way he plays this season.I put my TWW account on it.
8/20/2007 3:00:43 PM
if he plead guilty and goes back to court next Monday, is that it-time for the clink?
8/20/2007 3:03:26 PM
wouldn't he want to go to jail ASAP and get it out of the way?
8/20/2007 3:03:27 PM
max for federal conspiracy is 5 yearsthey're saying he'll likely get between 18 and 36 months dependinglooks like he'll be playing for the mean machine over the next few seasons[Edited on August 20, 2007 at 3:05 PM. Reason : *]

Someone might know but for sure but doesn't pleading guilty make you uneligible for parole? You have to serve out your full sentence I think. And prosecutors can recommend a sentence but the judge will decide how much time Vick will serve.
8/20/2007 3:50:55 PM
Mark it down, he will never play in the NFL again. He's a second tier QB right now, in 2-3 years (jail time and suspension) he'll be over 30, his skills will be significantly diminished, he'll have lost a good bit of his athleticism, and his familiarity with the game. Even if a team did sign him to a FA contract going into training camp he won't make the roster.
8/20/2007 3:57:04 PM
if the CFL will take Ricky Williams will they take Vick also?
8/20/2007 3:59:34 PM
Michael Vick is gonna be a SUPERSTAR...in the AFL...in 2011
8/20/2007 4:02:12 PM
where the hell is that stupid bitch Howard
8/20/2007 4:04:45 PM
Yea, they needed to get rid of him anyway. Wasnt ever going to pan out.
8/20/2007 4:05:59 PM
This is sort of a whole nine yards situation. Now we just need to get a prisoners vs guards game together and get somebody to put it on tv. Don't they actually have football teams in some prisons? I seem to recall one of those human interest stories on Sportscenter a few years ago on a prison football team in Texas I think. Of course, I know this has zero chance of happening, but it would be awesome.
8/20/2007 4:12:47 PM
^^^^Haven't heard from Howard since I posted this:

How does this affect the Salary Cap for the Falcons? Can a contract be terminated without having to take the hit in special circumstances?
8/20/2007 5:13:24 PM
They said on ESPN it won't be as bad as people think since they will more than likely be able to recoup any unearned bonus and salary.
8/20/2007 5:26:02 PM
joe horn is an idiot for trying to justify vick's actions as an "everyone makes mistakes" thing. ATTN: Joe Horn...executing and fighting dogs is not a "mistake".its a major major major sick sick fucked up series of premeditated actions.

Al Davis or Jerry JonesThe only owners crazy enough to gamble on him.
8/20/2007 5:40:29 PM
Who needs him? Seriously. Given what he's facing and what he did before now who would want him? Why would you wast your money on a 30 year old QB who just spent 1-2 years in jail, and a 1 year NFL suspension? He's not a good enough QB to offset the enormous amount of baggage he would bring with him.It would take a nutty owner like Al Davis to do it, but considering how much money they're going to sink into JaMarcus Russell it's hard for me to imagine them bringing in another QB anytime soon, let alone a shitty one.

He had to plead guilty because he was guilty, and just because some people you know get away with dogfighting doesn't mean he got a raw deal.

8/20/2007 7:29:53 PM
he'll probably come back in a few years to Tampa Bay to rape the Panthers twice a yearcourse by that time he won't have as much speed and he relied so much on that that i don't see how he could even be as good as he already has been
