^you think so? Im only starting 2 Wr's cause I have Foster in my W/R spotHines hasnt done shit, like 20 pts in 4 games, cause big ben sucks ass.
10/4/2006 4:23:29 PM
Wille vs SD orDeAngelo vs Cleveland
10/4/2006 4:28:45 PM
^^ Stick with Ward, Furrey has to show more before he is worthy of benching a proven player like Ward for.^Start Parker. If Pittsburgh learned anything in the game vs. Jax, it was that regardless of how good the defense is that you are facing, you have to stay with the run. They didnt that game and got pummeled. If Foster plays well, Deangelo is only about 6-8 points, best case scenario.Start Willie. He will get a TD and 80 yards.
10/4/2006 4:37:18 PM
if Pitt is staying with the run, how are you recommending Ward?i rely hugely on the weakness of the opponent, so i would start folks against Cleveland
10/4/2006 5:03:22 PM
but Deangelo is a backup.Despite Cleveland's ineptitude on Defense, I can't justify starting a backup vs. a weak defense instead of a STUD rb vs. a good defense. If the Browns are so bad, Foster will have a field day and limit Williams' opprotunites.
10/4/2006 5:28:33 PM
^thats what I was thinking with foster.....as least that is why im gonna start him (Along with Westbrook and S. Jackson)So if you recommend Ward, who does he replace?JCo or B. Edwards
10/4/2006 6:17:26 PM
edwardsJco is gonna be needed against a good D
10/4/2006 6:30:29 PM
^correctEven if Gamble has been playing like shit lately, the Browns have a non-existant running game, so double teams, cover 2, and shifts in coverage by the Panthers will likely (and hopefully, GO PANTHERS!) negate the explosiveness of Edwards.Start Ward and J-Co at WR's.

The Chargers are better against the run than the Bears. They were better last year and the year before that as well.
10/4/2006 8:20:21 PM
SD's run defense hasn't really been tested so far this season...I expect them to do well, but I still think Parker will be able to rack up some yards.
10/4/2006 8:20:36 PM
SD's run D was the best in the league last year despite being very young, so it's plenty tested.Teams just don't run on that defense.
10/4/2006 8:22:46 PM
San Diego has played so far this season:OaklandTennessebyeBaltimoreThey havent been tested at all.Trust me, Willie Parker will have a good game v. the Chargers.
10/4/2006 8:24:51 PM
It doesn't matter who they've played, SD HAS THE BEST RUN D IN THE NFL. IT'S BEEN THAT WAY FOR YEARS.Willie Parker will get less than 60 yards against that San Diego defense. Bank on it.
10/4/2006 8:27:54 PM
its a bet.

Hey Knuckleheads...what do the masses think here?Is DeAngelo Williams worth picking up of off waivers (someone just dropped him and I have a high waiver priority) if I have Delhomme as my starting Running back.I also have Westbrook, Rudi Johnson, and Maroney.I am hesitant about having a RB and QB starting, but I need to beef up my RB's in the event that Westbrook ends up missing substantial time.thoughts?
10/5/2006 11:31:33 AM
delhomme is your starting running back?

I need 2 RB'sJulius Jones against Philly, Thomas Jones against Buffalo, Edge against Kansas City, and Ronnie Brown against NE. I have been starting Edge and Brown but Culpepper might not play so they will probably stack the box more than they were when he was playing.. and the Cardinals offensive line is terrible and Leinart is starting his first gameAlso in a different league, Chester Taylor against the Lions or Maroney against the Dolphins[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 3:16 PM. ^yea i need his ass to play this weekend...I cant take another goose egg
10/6/2006 4:00:15 PM
E. Manning vs. WSH orB. Johnson vs. DETObvious choice is Manning, but I've been reading more and more this week saying Johnson should have a big week against a week DET secondary.
10/6/2006 4:02:37 PM
Manning.Springs is still out for the Redskins.Buress, Toomer, and Shockey all are healthy and coming off of a bye week.He should blow up.
10/6/2006 5:08:30 PM
I also have Burress. Does that play in favor of starting Manning, or against me?
10/6/2006 5:11:41 PM
Lee Evans and Wes Welker are available, and Keenan McCardell just isn't seeing the football. Should I pick up one of these guys?
10/6/2006 5:19:36 PM
I'd probably stick with Keenan. SD is conservative but there's going to be times this year when Philip HAS to make some big throws and Keenan will be a top target.
10/6/2006 5:20:30 PM
In your case, unless NY gets a huge lead early, I could see that being favorable
10/6/2006 5:25:13 PM
^^^ If you are getting return points, welker. He is solid producer week in and week out. He should probably be the last guy on your roster, though.
