I just dyed my hair. It was supposed to come out auburn, but it pretty much just made my hair a few shades darker brown. I think I like that even better than the color it was supposed to come out.I desperately need a haircut, and I went by the design gallery the other day because I've heard good things about it, but it was closed in the middle of the day. I was pissed.
11/18/2006 8:04:06 PM
They aren't open on Mondays. When did ya go?
11/18/2006 8:10:54 PM
I think it was Friday morning ... around noonish? Maybe they weren't closed and I'm just retarded, but there was nobody there.
11/18/2006 8:15:17 PM
misha, i think the stuff took some of the warmth out of your hair. it does have a more espresso tone than the chestnut.
11/18/2006 8:29:26 PM
I bought one of the dye/highlighting kits from target around fall break and my hair turned out pretty well...the highlights are at the right spot..there a bit brown/reddish and its awesome
11/18/2006 8:32:04 PM
I just used Natural Match a week ago in the cool formula for my hair color. I like it a lot - it toned down the red in my hair and made it just a smidge darker.
11/18/2006 9:19:32 PM
do yall ever dye your coug hair to match your head hair?
11/18/2006 9:20:36 PM

11/18/2006 9:30:33 PM

will doing a 3-month cycle allow you to remain fertile later in life, since you're only shedding 4 eggs a year as opposed to 12?[Edited on November 19, 2006 at 9:55 AM. Reason : I guess it's more than 12 in reality]
11/19/2006 9:55:06 AM
^No. You're born with around 1-2 million eggs. There's no way you'd ever release that many before menopause anyways, and the ones that don't mature degenerate. By the time you actually start your period, you only have 300,000 or so, and by menopause, you only have around 100. This is from them just dying, more so than you actually releasing them through a period, so skipping a few months in your cycle should not be much of a change on when you start menopausing.
11/19/2006 10:02:22 AM
So, do you replace the ring on the third week or the fourth week?
11/19/2006 11:49:44 AM
the gift-buying christmas spirit has gotten to me way too much... this 20% off at sephora thing and the absolute cuteness of fred flare has me wanting to buy multiple gifts for people...not a good idea.

I am now on Levora (a monophastic pill) and I completely and totally suppress my menstrual cycle. I was on psychiatric drugs for years for severe emotional problems that began about the time I hit puberty. I had seen multiple doctors and psychiatrists until luckily one doctor asked me to start charting my menstrual cycle along with changes in my mood. (This was right about the same time that premenstrual dysphoric disorder was finally gaining some recognition in the medical community.) It was actually startling to see how my mood was tied to hormonal fluctuations. Doctors decided to put me on a monophastic pill (same dose of hormones in every pill unlike a pill like ortho tricycline) and supress my menstrual cycle. It's been about a year now and I am free of psychiatric drugs for the first time in over 10 years and feel better than I ever have.

I want an IUD. There's very little chance that I'm going to want to have kids for at least 7 years and I don't feel like being on something hormonal for years.
11/26/2006 6:25:50 PM
♥ my Mirena.
11/26/2006 6:55:53 PM
You finally got one? ^ Thought your DR didn't want you to have it?
11/26/2006 8:03:49 PM
I've had mine for almost a year. I went to another doctor Fuck planned parenthood
11/26/2006 8:05:01 PM
I understand the reasons they don't just want anyone to have one..... Gotta see both sides of the scope. I am very happy with mine though.
11/26/2006 8:06:31 PM
11/26/2006 8:12:15 PM
Isn't mirena the hormonal one?I'd rather be on one with no hormones whatsoever.
11/27/2006 10:25:44 PM
it does have hormones. It was mirena with hormones, and lighter, less frequent bleeding, or the copper/non-hormonals with longer, heavier ones.Twas a no-brainer for me.
11/27/2006 10:30:54 PM
so do you notice any other effects from the hormones?
11/27/2006 10:48:46 PM
umm, don't you have to get laid to worry about birth control?
11/27/2006 10:50:22 PM
^No - sometimes women go on it to control their cycle, especially teenagers.
11/27/2006 10:51:09 PM
Something tells me 69 has never even talked to a woman in person.
11/27/2006 10:52:07 PM
I imagine I'll be getting laid at some point in the future. I'm gathering knowledge for when that time comes.
11/27/2006 10:52:32 PM
11/27/2006 10:54:57 PM

Other than banana republic, gap, and express...where else do yall suggest I look:One of my friends wants a good, all-purpose dress that will last for several years. The first thing that came to mind was 'black sheath', but she's not been too keen on those. (Yes, she's completely fashion impaired). She's a size ten, and has walnuts for boobs She said no to both of these because of the neckline:She likes this one:I think I'll check out Ann Taylor, as well. She said she'd like to spend $50, but I told her she should be willing to shell out more.
12/2/2006 1:56:50 PM
wow ambrosia, your friend sounds like a real doof!
