man that guy really hates the NCAA so much that he forgets to mention that while McAdoo, God bless his soul, may have been steered to some easy no show classes he also tried to pass off someone else's work for his own. If the NCAA is a bully as this article opines it's a limp wristed sissy slapping bully for the sactions unx received.
2/5/2013 1:08:16 PM
It doesn't matter now if McAdoo is a victim or not. There is now "proof" that the academic counselors directed the athletes to these no show, no prof, paper-only classes. This should surely get the NCAA back to Chapel Hill. But it probably won't happen

I would donate money towards someone getting a billboard with that quote

I was grabbing lunch and had 99.9 on the radio right when Fedora came on to talk with David Glenn. Holy crap, that guy really grates my nerves. I couldn't listen for more than a minute because the douchebaggery was overwhelming. I believe Doeren is scheduled for 2:35.
2/6/2013 1:30:28 PM
It's like he is trolling to see what the NCAA will let him get away with still so the cheating can continue.
2/6/2013 1:36:09 PM
^^ Yeah but what about Fedora
2/6/2013 1:36:56 PM
Fedora didn't say anything about his recruits being able to read...

NC universities panel to weigh in on UNC scandalFeb 7, 2013 7:36 a.m.CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—A panel looking into how the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill allowed and responded to an academic fraud scandal is getting a chance to speak.Part of the governing board for the state university system weighs in Thursday on the scandal that led to the resignation of Chancellor Holden Thorp and departure of football coach Butch Davis. The scandal involves dozens of courses in UNC-Chapel Hill's Department of African and Afro-American Studies where instructors did not teach, grades were changed and grade reports were faked over more than a decade. An investigation led by former Gov. Jim Martin and aided by consultants says there's no evidence student-athletes gained more than others from the academic fraud that began in 1997.

Yeah so they still insist that this ONE PROFESSOR just decided ON HIS OWN to produce fake no show classes for anyone and everyone that wanted to take them and NO ONE questioned the practice for over 14 years.

It is just unfathomable how obvious this shit is and yet they continue to say "nothing to see here no big deal" If you went up in front of a real judge and tried to say this shit he would not only laugh at you but probably double your sentence because someone that stupid shouldnt be allowed to interact with other people.

Email a politician? Seriously? This is why you guys are always behind and below carolina. You keep trying to play the game by their rules. You have to change the game. Go read civil disobedience by thoreau.

I'll say this... If they lose their accreditation, I'll bet there will be a lot of people who BOYCOTT DA SCHOOOOOOOOOOO
2/13/2013 1:28:01 PM
I wonder if this would just be accreditation for just AFAM, or for the university itself? I know that different departments and schools have separate accreditation from the university. Just hope this wouldn't extend to any grad schools that had nothing to do with this.
2/13/2013 1:33:25 PM
Fuck em. If they're claim is that it's not an athletic issue (even though it clearly is) but an academic issue then let them reap what they sew. Maybe potential loss of accreditation will make them change their tune.I'm not holding my breath because they're not going to lose accreditation or admit that it was athletics driven.
2/13/2013 1:39:37 PM
hoping for them to lose their accreditation is the ultimate pipe dreamain't gonna happen
2/13/2013 1:42:01 PM
Since there's so much focus on the NCAA's take on the academic vs. athletic debate, maybe this is a good time for SACS to make a statement from an academic perspective about the priorities of schools. Putting someone like unc on probation could send a few shockwaves to other athlete factories masquerading as institutes of higher education.
2/13/2013 2:10:30 PM
maybe some new evidence will come out that some of their players sold sneakers, then they're sure to get a 3-year postseason ban for all sports
