i went to the doctor today and turns out we are both from the same area of Massachusetts

we started talking about the red sox and i got a little excited and at one point said rather loudly "OH YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT!"

then i realized how such an exclamation might have been perceived by others outside the room

I've gone out on a ton of dates this year. Nearly every time I get a second date if I want it but I just have a hard time caring about the girls I go out with. It's kind of becoming a problem. I feel like I'm desensitized or something to liking a girl and wanting to pursue. Even the few girls I do feel like I have a connection with I almost feel obligated to ask out again, even though I really don't care... and I'm guessing that shows.

but i know what you mean. i met a girl who rocked my world (ended badly), and ever since that i've felt like i'm wasting my time. it's difficult for me to get excited about seeing a girl unless she elicits a feeling that i can't describe unless it happens and i feel it, if that makes sense.

^^ Exact same here, except that I kinda have cut out a step and not really gone out on the dates to begin with. There are just very, very, few girls that I really have any genuine interest in. Most of the time they just annoy me or feel like more of a burden than anything else.
