Too bad it doesn't show his sweet tweeting skills

Wish Purvis was in the '11 class.I'm still extremely worried about our guard depth next year. I don't want us wasting a scholarship on anybody...but we need another adequate ball handler to give Brown some rest.
5/3/2011 7:45:35 AM
wouldn't care about Harrow leaving anymore if we land Purvis. a little patchwork with Zo at the 1 this year, and then its ON next year.

5/3/2011 8:55:39 AM
^^^ we just need to transfuse a little #justingaineyblood into Zo. that kid playing 4 games, 40 minutes in 4 days in the ACC tourney that year was impressive
5/3/2011 9:22:19 AM
This Just In, Purvis really really really likes his girlfriend. That is all.I never had a twitter account until recently. Now I have one just to follow all the basketball players. Julius is reading to first graders this morning.

for everyone posting RH videos... yea they're cool and all, but i didn't see much, if any, of that at all this past year. Maybe Sid should have just told him to go out there and "do your thing Ryan".
5/3/2011 9:57:44 AM
its hard to showboat against division 1 defense

so whats the status of Uchebo? who is he in play for now...i dont see any of his considerations listed anywhere. maybe we can get him back?
5/3/2011 11:41:52 AM
Charlotte is in play, according to PP.
5/3/2011 11:44:04 AM
Yeah, it seems like Charlotte. I am more and more convinced that Kentucky will recruit ANYBODY just to have their name mentioned. They go after guys I think they have no intention of offering or if they do offer they make false promises and let them ride the pine.http://www.nationofblue.com/will-joseph-uchebo-qualify-2011-7020/
5/3/2011 11:47:41 AM
From all of the info out there Uchebo will not qualify academically to play for a major conference team next year, thus UCC-C being in the mix (as they can accept partial qualifiers). We shall see, but it seems that there are more issues with him as a prospect than just not wanting to come to NCSU.
5/3/2011 12:13:28 PM
This Purvis guy looks pretty good at basketballhttp://northcarolinastate.scout.com/2/1069419.html
5/3/2011 1:15:24 PM
god purvis looks like he's 28.
5/3/2011 1:32:41 PM
lol @ Tyler Lewis trying to recruit Purvis.
5/3/2011 1:53:30 PM
I'm sure UNC will find a way to say that is a violation.
5/3/2011 1:55:57 PM
I see that Purvis is following Coach Early on twitter. Definitely a good sign that Early has made a connection with him.
5/3/2011 2:01:43 PM
5/3/2011 2:05:41 PM
he also says, "My name Rodney Purvis."[Edited on May 3, 2011 at 2:18 PM. Reason : Purvis says fuck a verb, i'll just dunk instead]
5/3/2011 2:17:47 PM
pervis = harrow who?
5/3/2011 2:20:08 PM
After years of false prophets, Purvis will come to State and prove to be the true savior of the State basketball program. Fear no longer, our true messiah is coming!
5/3/2011 2:44:27 PM
I'm pretty sure we have to wander the desert for at least 40 years. I'll check back in during the 2023 season.
5/3/2011 4:34:34 PM
Just wait until the year after next. We'll be good!
5/3/2011 8:39:38 PM
hopefully Gottfried can break this never-ending saga of "wait til year after next"
5/3/2011 8:50:43 PM

Didn't know where else to post this, but Ryan Harrow is going to visit Kentucky, Louisville, st johns, texas and georgia. He's gonna visit them with his mom and 'they' will make a decision.[Edited on May 4, 2011 at 8:40 PM. Reason : gd]
5/4/2011 8:39:23 PM
^ What decision?...to switch from pampers to pull-ups? I wish the kid no ill-will, but Jesus, at some point they're going to have to cut the cord for his own good.
5/4/2011 10:13:28 PM
why is this worth bringing up and trying to make into an issue? this happens all the time. i know a lot of student athletes that consult their parents before deciding where to go.
5/4/2011 10:32:52 PM
I basically took his tweet about this and re-wrote it from memory
5/4/2011 10:36:25 PM
PI!!!!http://packinsider.com/2011/05/wolfpack-making-strong-move-for-2011-sg-trevor-lacey/(although there's nothing wrong with a 19-yr old involving his mom in life-changing decisions, it's probably time that PI changed their "video of the week". Currently it's "RH vs. San Diego St")
5/4/2011 10:44:51 PM
packinsider did not report anything that wasn't already reported by other outlets. fuckin hacks!
5/4/2011 11:21:58 PM
Yeah, what 18-20 year old kid doesn't ask their parents for advice?
5/5/2011 12:07:27 AM
Orphans?
5/5/2011 2:45:41 AM
^haha
5/5/2011 8:39:04 AM
i think Lacey is probably about 90% sold on UK at this point. it would be a huge stretch, IMHO, for us to all of the sudden get serious consideration.

Pitt Jam Fest: Top PerformersJERAMI GRANTSize: 6-6/185 | Quick Take: No one had a better overall weekend than Grant. He followed up a strong performance in the EYBL with three days of big time play in Pittsburgh. The natural talent level has always been there, and now Grant is taking it upon himself to capitalize on that talent by going hard every possession and being a force. He is scoring inside and out, and just showing off the ability to be a big time player down the road for some college.Recruiting: Georgetown, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Virginia, NC State, Notre Dame TYLER LEWISSize: 5-11/165 | Quick Take: Lewis was impossible to guard all weekend long. He isn't the biggest kid on the floor, but no one is as savvy with the ball and his quickness is highly undervalued. More so than anything, Lewis was also making big time shots from deep. With his unreal passing ability combined with now excellent shot making, Lewis can be extremely difficult to stop on the offensive end.Recruiting: Committed to NC State ISAIAH HICKSSize: 6-7/190 | Quick Take: Hicks is one of the best athletes you will find at his size. With his athleticism and length, Hicks creates havoc on the interior where he dunks everything and also showed some semblance of a face up game. Also defensively he guard out on the wing, blocked shots on the interior, and in general was a game changer. It was an excellent weekend where Hicks looked like an elite prospect.Recruiting: North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Xavier, Clemson, and NC State BEEJAY ANYASize: 6-8/255 | Quick Take: Anya is simply a man-beast down low. Playing up at the 17 and under level presented absolutely no challenge for Anya as he dominated on the block with his scoring and rebounding. Already he is more explosive than people think, and when he gets in shape it is scary how good he will be be. Anya definitely asserted himself as one of the top post prospects in the 2012 class.Recruiting: Texas, Pittsburgh, St. John’s, UCLA, Maryland, Georgetown, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Kansas, Utah, and Syracuse NATE BRITTSize: 6-0/155 | Quick Take: Britt isn't the flashiest player in terms of how he plays, but he is one of the most effective. He is always making the right decision and simply knows how to play the game from the point guard position. He put his other teammates in position to get easy buckets with his passes, and then when it comes to creating for himself he is more than capable of doing that.Recruiting: Georgetown, Arizona, Duke, Rutgers, Seton Hall, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Xavier, Villanova, Virginia KAREEM CANTYSize: 6-1/190 | Quick Take: In a class lacking a lot of point guards, Canty really stepped up and showed that he deserves to be talked about as one of the best. He has excellent quickness and is a good athlete. On top of that he can put points on the board in a big way, but at the same time is also capable of getting others involved. He isn't the biggest guard around, but he was definitely one of the most effective all weekend long.Recruiting: Seton Hall, Xavier, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, Texas A&M[Edited on May 5, 2011 at 10:48 AM. article about Harrow's transfer visitshttp://www.zagsblog.com/2011/05/06/ryan-harrows-mom-st-johns-is-our-home/very interesting quote from his mom (who is obviously running the show)
5/6/2011 6:28:34 PM
if he says he wants to transfer then was (legally by NCAA rules) able to come back, i would hope Gottfried would let him know what's up...it seems like with everything that Gottfried has said, we won't have players like that who by their actions or otherwise put themselves before the program
5/6/2011 6:33:17 PM
well if he was just getting the whole recruiting process out of his system, and chose us over Kentucky, Texas, etc., I'd love to have him backespecially since we basically dont have a single true PG on our team now
5/6/2011 7:09:03 PM
i get that, but it's the principle, in my mind
