We also were underdogs tonight. Which I’m sure will start the argument of “but we shouldn’t have been underdogs in the first place!” and ok that’s fair I guess. But this was basically a 50/50 game both by Vegas and the advanced sites like KenPom. Be mad we lost to them at home. I just feel like this maybe is the wrong game for this level of anger

Even aside from Vegas, this wasn’t some huge upset. I think KenPom and BPI basically had it as a 50/50 toss up game.

I’m saying this specific loss @UNC, I’m not lumping the home loss in with that at all. But GT at home is worse. @BC is worse. UNC at home is worse. Hell, VT has fallen off the earth and now ranks below UNC in KP...although VT was playing better when they beat us earlier. So I’ll just stick with @BC, UNC at home, GT at home as being definitively worse losses than this. Does this one hurt waaaaaay worse than GT and BC? Of fucking course it does. But by basically any metric, there are 3 losses on our schedule worse than losing @UNC. I didn’t even count @GT because I figured that was probably close to being on par with this loss since both were on the road.

I agree that there’s a lack of leadership on the court. I don’t think they give up too easily. They seem to stick it out and fight till the end. They may not play particularly well, but I don’t see a lot of giving up and quitting on the court. The @Duke game was an exception, we looked like we were ready to go home.

Playing time at this point is ridiculous. Other teams love that we play Beverly 35 minutes. And then Moore 12 and DJ 23.

Recruited SoCon level players in Seabron (could be ACC quality as a Junior), Farrar, Gibson, and Ebe.

He will get this year and next I am sure, but I think the writing is on the wall. Even with DD this team was not going to make the dance.
