Dude was just too flacid, and dragging his mom and brother around with him aint gonna fix that. I doubt he tries this again.
2/20/2016 10:19:14 PM
he spent almost $2K per vote he got in 3 states.
2/20/2016 11:17:25 PM
This Trump thing might actually be happening huh? At least he'll nominate Sen. Cruz to SCOTUS.
2/21/2016 7:23:40 AM
That's so crazy it just might work.
2/21/2016 10:13:35 AM
It's officially a ]

I, for one, would thoroughly enjoy a Trump v Hillary debate. We are already stuck with shit options, might as well get some entertainment out of this dumpster fire.
2/21/2016 10:59:52 AM
Cruz has TX, Rubio may have FL, and Kasich maybe has OH - other than those, not seeing any roadblocks left for Trump. So, I too, will enjoy watching the dumpster fire of a campaign that will be Trump v. Hillary. I really cannot imagine what a debate between those two would look like.
2/21/2016 11:28:28 AM
I mean even the most anti-Clinton people who would never vote for her would have to admit her debating policy with Trump would be like Lebron playing one-on-one with a blind cripple.
2/21/2016 4:43:47 PM
In a traditional debate of course but Trump doesn't exactly follow the rules on this whole campaigning thing and hasn't had trouble in debates yet really. Plus I just want Trump to bring up Hildogs dirt, he would definitely go where other candidates wouldn't and it would be entertainment gold.
2/21/2016 6:45:14 PM
Watching coverage from Saturday night. I think between Trump and Cruz if it came down to the two of them, I'd support Trump.
2/21/2016 7:01:06 PM
if cruz drops out now, then his votes would go to rubio. only chance of trump not winning the nominationrubio would have to promise cruz to the SC or VP to drop out though, but then again the attacks have been so personal it's hard to see them helping each other out or endorsing each other
2/21/2016 7:30:43 PM
2/21/2016 7:36:07 PM
its "stupid" because it's highly unlikely, but what is needed for Trump to not win
2/21/2016 7:46:25 PM
This guy has a different idea - http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/krauthammer-bottom-candidates-drop/2016/02/20/id/715339/[Edited on February 21, 2016 at 7:49 PM. Reason : and he's at least somebody]
2/21/2016 7:48:52 PM
its stupid because why would the guy who is winning be the one to drop out.
2/21/2016 8:29:22 PM
Well, 2nd place at least, but yah that was my point.
2/21/2016 8:51:35 PM
I think Rubio needs to go to Kasich and say "if I win the nomination, you're my VP; we'll make it public now and you can campaign for me"
2/22/2016 5:43:59 AM
Kaisch is hanging on just in case Rubio has another 'let's dispel the notion' moment.
2/22/2016 8:34:44 AM
I guess Bush's supporters will now default to Rubio, but that 4-6 % probably won't get him much.
2/22/2016 9:22:48 AM
Based on the most recently available fundraising numbers, Rubio and Kasich are both running low - which doesn't bode well for competing in multiple states on Super Tuesday. MI votes on March 8, OH votes on March 15, so unless Kasich performs better than expected on Super Tuesday, I can't see him sticking around until March 15 just bc he won't have any money left.[Edited on February 22, 2016 at 9:38 AM. Reason : MI & OH are the only two states Kasich is projected to do well in at the moment.]

2/22/2016 9:46:19 AM
Yes. I'm referring to actual campaign finance figures, not speculative articles written since. Last quarter's numbers were released before Rubio's recent "win" in SC and Bush dropping out so I don't doubt he'll pick up some of Bush's donors. But I'm also talking about campaign dollars, not super PAC monies - so the money actually used to pay staffers, not just run ads.
2/22/2016 9:52:13 AM
You must not be talking about these numbers: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/01/marco-rubio-campaign-finance-218488But then how would anyone know, because you haven't linked to shit.I don't have a horse in this race, unlike you, but it's pretty clear you should have excluded Rubio from that hot take above. And if you would have actually clicked the links you'd discover there isn't anything speculative about what's happening:
2/22/2016 10:23:29 AM
FEC. Rubio - Ending Cash On Hand $5,055,406 / Cruz - Ending Cash On Hand $13,645,419 Your link - http://www.fec.gov/fecviewer/CandidateCommitteeDetail.do
2/22/2016 10:37:06 AM
You should have a horse in this race. Everyone should.Every Democrat that gives a crap about this country should be voting for Rubio in the Republican primaries.

He's always been a staunch pro-lifer.
2/22/2016 11:31:25 AM
Of all the problems in this country why is it pretty much a requirement that a high level Republitard has to be Pro-Life to get anywhere in this country.....
2/22/2016 11:33:22 AM
maybe bc it's a basic tenet of our platform?
2/22/2016 11:34:27 AM
de-funding PP isn't pro-life, it's anti-healthcare
2/22/2016 11:52:40 AM
That ^ is a debatable statement, but the comment was about being pro-life, not PP.
2/22/2016 12:02:22 PM
I'm still confused why unborn fetuses matter.
2/22/2016 12:21:09 PM
Republicans are pro-birth, they aren't pro-life.
2/22/2016 12:25:14 PM
Smoking hot take right there
2/22/2016 12:39:51 PM
^^That isn't an untrue statement, based on their support of capital punishment. But let's get back on track.Democrats, vote in our election, keep Trump from winning the primary.
2/22/2016 12:53:27 PM
I would think most informed democrats are probably more afraid of a Cruz presidency than a Trump one
2/22/2016 1:11:54 PM
Quote :"I would think most informed democrats are probably more afraid of a Cruz presidency than a Trump one"
2/22/2016 1:18:51 PM
Cruz would do more damage than Trump[Edited on February 22, 2016 at 1:33 PM. Reason : or at least would try to, probably wouldn't be very effective]
2/22/2016 1:32:26 PM
I'm not saying vote for Cruz. At this point Trump and Cruz, either/or would be pretty damaging.
2/22/2016 1:35:59 PM
Back in January "Trump was growing on you," now you want Dems to cross-over and vote for someone who's positions are basically the same, just with less bloviating. What changed?
2/22/2016 1:45:25 PM
Calling trump's style "bloviating" is underselling it, he's worse than a bloviator.https://www.facebook.com/ezraklein/videos/10153996823213410/?pnref=storyCruz policies are bad or worse, but the presidency is responsible for more than just policy writing (this isn't even a delegated duty...), and Trump is far worse in this aspect.
2/22/2016 1:55:14 PM
i think he will just go back to regular grandstanding after the election, so i see cruz being much more hateful and damaging at the non-policy stuff
2/22/2016 2:05:50 PM
2/22/2016 3:15:46 PM
Mr. Terd, that was the point of that thread. Trump is growing on me. But I'm still a sane individual. I'm not gonna vote for him. He can grow on me and still not get my vote.
2/22/2016 3:55:44 PM
^^ Trumps business acumen is overblown, trump talks himself up but he's not spectacular. I think the Chinese or merkel or the Iranians would eat him up. His biggest asset is his celebrity brand, he's paris Hilton: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/422762/paris-hilton-2016-out-trumps-trump trump takes too big risks and uses bankruptcy law to hedge-- he can't use this tactic as president. And I am not certain congress can out maneuver him, he will play dirty and make things personal to essentially black mail politicians to doing what he wants, assuming he can bring enough Americans to his side, which he has a proven ability to do.
2/22/2016 5:20:34 PM
If it wasn't for the racism and xenophobia, I'd be voting for trump hands down.
2/22/2016 6:49:19 PM
^^ mostly agree.^ i can't think of anything where he isn't on the wrong side of the issue. Admittedly, his policies are neither fleshed out nor steady and predictable based on past record, and I don't pay super close attention to him...but he's pretty disastrous across the board.
