due to bye weeks I had to start Austin Davis and Carolina's defense in Jaybee's jacked up league, together they netted me -20.5 points
11/11/2014 2:43:25 PM
From here out:Andre Johnson or Odell Beckham?
11/12/2014 8:54:30 AM
^With the caveat that I am not sure how Johnson's #s will be with Mallett as the starting QB, I think I would go Beckham. Beckham clearly has a lot of tools, and Eli seems to trust him more than Randle at this point.
11/12/2014 10:19:54 AM
Beckham is the #1 guy in NY now. Johnson is the #2 WR in houston, with a shittier QB than Eli.
11/12/2014 11:04:30 AM
Got offered Jordy Nelson for Adrian Peterson.I have Calvin Johnson, josh Gordon, Percy Harvin, Cordelle Patterson, Kelvin Benjamin. At RB I have Gio Bernard, Reggie Bush, steven Jackson, and Brandon Oliver. Is it worth it? I could rebuttle send AP and Dalton for Luck and Nelson.suggestions? If he gets suspended, I get Nelson for free. It's a PPR league and point per 10 yards return[Edited on November 12, 2014 at 7:04 PM. Reason : Hshs]
11/12/2014 7:02:37 PM
Peterson hasn't played football in 10 weeks and is approaching 30 years old. You do that trade even in a dynasty league. The Vikings play three stout run defenses during the playoff games weeks 14-16 - Detroit, Jets, Miami. Green Bay plays three pushover pass defenses those same weeks in Tampa Bay, Atlanta, and Buffalo.
11/12/2014 7:09:36 PM
11/12/2014 7:17:26 PM
I feel like we're being trolledI'll say it with 99% confidence -- AP will not play another snap this season
11/12/2014 7:22:30 PM
^^^^Don't get cute and counter. Take Nelson and run! Then drop Patterson for a FA RB if you need one.
11/13/2014 8:43:37 AM
Should I start Brandin Cooks or Deandre Hopkins. I am for certain starting Odell Beckham Jr. And Alshon Jeffrey.
11/13/2014 11:19:59 AM
^ Is that your flex or do you play 3 WR? If flex, what are your RB options? If WR only, I would go with Cooks. Mallet is starting for HOU and its an away game against CLE who has good DBs. Thoughts on this trade:Leveon (sp?) Bell - PIT RBforT.Y. Hilton - IND WRTerrance West - CLE RB[Edited on November 13, 2014 at 11:36 AM. Reason : a]
11/13/2014 11:33:32 AM
Standard or PPR? I probably wouldn't trade away a top RB unless I had to make the playoffs in the league.[Edited on November 13, 2014 at 2:19 PM. Reason : ]
11/13/2014 2:18:54 PM
quit throwing to Hogan!!!!!!!1
11/13/2014 10:06:35 PM
I'd take that trade for TY in a dynasty league because I think he'll be great for years to come, but I wouldn't do that trade in a redraft league unless I was poor at WR and needed to make the playoffs. You don't really need depth at this point in the season; you need top talent.
11/13/2014 10:33:12 PM
Eh, bell is gonna be pretty dang good for a long time, too.
11/13/2014 10:37:07 PM
running backs don't last as long as wide receivers do, and TY has the best young quarterback in the league throwing to him.
11/13/2014 10:48:32 PM
Bell is only 22 years old. I think he'll be a top RB for a good while.
11/13/2014 10:56:12 PM
people said the same thing about Doug Martin two years ago and Ben Tate three years ago. Running backs become senior citizens at 29, but receivers can play well into their thirties with fewer injuries.
11/13/2014 11:02:14 PM
for comparison's sake, I just accepted a deal, sending Leveon Bell and Fitzgerald, and getting Maclin and Denard Robinson.
11/14/2014 11:45:37 AM
the other aspect that I thought would be beneficial to me is Bell has not had a bye week yet. So by getting Hilton and West I can get two starter worthy players for the remainder of the season. With Bell I would need to find a replacement for week 12. My other RB is Rashad Jennings so I think I will be OK now that he is healthy again.
11/14/2014 2:57:35 PM
Lost Carson Palmer as QB2 and Romo is on BYE. What are your guys thoughts on Stanton rest of the year? I have RW and Romo at QB1/QB2. Should I start Stanton versus Detroit or pick up Bridgewater @ Bears?[Edited on November 14, 2014 at 3:29 PM. Reason : Teddy, McCown, Orton, Hoyer, and Mettenberger are all that are left]
11/14/2014 3:28:38 PM
this is a 2 QB league? i'd go with bridgewater as QB2, b/c CHI is shit. DET has a pretty good D.
11/14/2014 4:12:47 PM
Obviously since I was asking QB1/QB2. I'll probably play RW and Romo after this week with Stanton/Teddy backups. Not sure why more leagues do not start 2 QBs.
11/14/2014 4:27:54 PM
11/14/2014 5:57:05 PM
Breakout game? Besides that shit game against Indy, he's been very good this season. He's already proven he's the #1 guy in Houston. I honestly don't see how you don't start him, even if he will face Joe Haden for some of the game. This isn't even a question for me, he's just better than cooks. And no contest a better play than blue.
11/14/2014 6:10:42 PM
Well I'm only considering Blue as Arian Foster is most likely not starting.
11/14/2014 6:19:33 PM
I'd be leary of Hopkins in this game; new quarterback, Joe Haden covering him, on the road, and no Foster to threaten play action with. Hopkins has been the clear #1 this year, but there's too much going on in this game and Cooks has been stellar at home the last few weeks.[Edited on November 14, 2014 at 7:20 PM. Reason : Blue is a good option too; Cincinnati can be run on.]
11/14/2014 7:19:50 PM
^ exactly my point. Cook at home on the turf - he's been very good. Id downgrade Hopkins even further if Foster is out. What would the Browns do if Blue is the starter...make Mallett beat them. A rookie playing his first start on the road doesn't make me feel good.
11/14/2014 8:02:29 PM
Foster is ruled out. Blue is available in my league. Should I pick him up as a flex option?my other options at RB are Terrence West and CJ Anderson...(Lamar Miller already played)
11/15/2014 10:04:27 PM
I'd run with Blue in that situation; Houston is going to commit to the run to help out their new QB, and Blue is going to get the volume. While the Cleveland run game is decent also, they're splitting the carries among three backs. West may get the bulk of the carries, but I doubt he gets as many touches as Blue will.CJ Anderson has a tough matchup running against St. Louis, and St. Louis gets thrown on so easily that Denver won't need to run. Anderson may get some touches in the passing game, and he may have some garbage time opportunities to run out the clock.I think I'd rank them Blue - West - Anderson, mainly based on projected touches.
11/16/2014 9:43:42 AM
Pick 1 Flex:Vereen EdelmanMartavis Bryant
11/16/2014 10:18:33 AM
Blue or McKinnon today? Leaving Blue since Asiata gets all the touchdowns for Minnesota.
11/16/2014 10:19:46 AM
^Blue. That's an easy call
11/16/2014 10:21:20 AM
Non-ppr league. Need to pick 1 RB and 1 Flex out of:Shane Vereen @ ColtsJulian Edelman @ ColtsAlfred Blue @ Brownsthoughts?
11/16/2014 10:55:45 AM
blue and flip a coin between the other twoNon PPR, edelmen doesnt get much...vereen either, just depends on your scoring as far as yards, etc
11/16/2014 11:55:04 AM
Ellington vs. DetroitS. Jackson @ CarolinaNormally I'd just roll Ellington but you know Detroit is going to stack the box with no Palmer and that defense is solid. See that game being low scoring.I really don't care for Steven Jackson, but he's getting a ton of touches lately and the Carolina run D hasn't been great, plus no Star this week.
11/16/2014 12:03:49 PM
New England has been lighting it up offensively and I think they continue to do so. So I'd roll Blue and Vereen.^I'd probably lean towards S-Jax. He had his best game of the season last week which isn't saying much, but as bad as the Panthers have been playing, he could easily go for 90 and a score[Edited on November 16, 2014 at 12:18 PM. Reason : .]
11/16/2014 12:17:20 PM
Mohamed Sanu against the Saints or Ryan Matthews (first week back from injury) against Oakland in the flex position?...am already a little Chargers dependent as I have Rivers and Gates starting for me as well.
11/16/2014 12:28:11 PM
thus far, Alfred Blue is looking like a great last second pick upnow we just need him to get in the end zone
11/16/2014 2:24:10 PM
never would have thought the Rams D would be outscoring Broncos D by 6, and yet here we are
11/16/2014 3:30:25 PM
damn, rookie Mike Evans with another big game...209 yards, 2 TDsI'm pretty set at WR down the stretchEvans/AJ Green/R. Cobb...and I've been holding Josh Gordon since week 2, get him back next week
11/16/2014 3:54:27 PM
thanks to CLE Def for allowing a 1st time NFL starter to fuck them up
11/16/2014 4:29:21 PM
Getting really tired of playing against the defense that plays out of their minds week every week.
11/16/2014 8:43:32 PM
I had TY he has Fleener I was up by a few points, figured I had it easy.WTF?
11/16/2014 10:36:33 PM
looking forward to rolling with Josh Gordon and Adrian Peterson in my lineup this week.
11/17/2014 4:08:44 PM
might wanna rethink that Adrian Peterson strategy now.
11/18/2014 9:09:02 AM
Anyone who picked him up and traded him for something decent, GG
11/18/2014 9:14:20 AM
Don't think there is any chance he wins the appeal being heard by a third-party arbitrator? I think he has a pretty solid case. If someone drops him during the waivers in my league, I'm definitely picking him up until I get the final word from the appeal.
11/18/2014 9:29:05 AM
with only 6 weeks remaining in the season, there's about a 0.0% chance he'll play this yearnot worth the risk
