The big three, the big three, the big three, the big threeOh wait, Rondo is better than all three of them combined. What an incredible game.

^Well...there was Rondo getting Crippler Crossfaced by Wade.
5/31/2012 7:13:24 AM
^ Which one? I saw Rondo crumple to the floor a couple times last night. Once he didn't even get hit, the other time he got grazed on the forehead. He's quite the actor as well.
5/31/2012 7:55:39 AM
He got rocked by Wade resulting in a no call one distinct time. They were talking about it on 99.9 this morning. Still though, that's going to happen. The Celts take too many jump shots to get to the line as much as the Heat. Overall, as a Celtics fan, I thought the officiating was good last night.
5/31/2012 8:49:58 AM
Fuck jb . D wade was hot in OT and won the game for them and he is still dogging tge heat. That giy is as stubborn as burro when it comes to politics.[Edited on May 31, 2012 at 9:10 AM. Reason : U]
5/31/2012 9:03:02 AM
Jbrick living in a different world than us saying the refs were Spurs-biased but saw no Miami-bias. Odd..Yahoo! had an article on the NBA having a bad night with the lottery results and the officiating last night. I actually personally didn't think it was as bad as some other Heat games this playoffs.** oh I didn't see the OT, but apparently Rondo got smashed by Wade per tons of articles today.[Edited on May 31, 2012 at 9:14 AM. 5/31/2012 9:09:19 AM
That one Wade foul should have been called. The other fouls were not as bad as the SAS/OKC ones. In those, the refs swallowed their whistles or called blocks when there should have been charges.Last nights fouls were fouls. You just have Boston fans bitching and the public/media upset because they don't like Miami.
5/31/2012 9:14:05 AM
well there was also the Miami Heat reporter on Mike and Mike this morning talking about how slanted the officiating was last night. The Heat flop and bitch when they dont get calls, fuck them
5/31/2012 9:23:52 AM
5/31/2012 9:37:55 AM
The Heat are popular and polarizing and the media loves to manufacture news. There were some bad calls, but it wasn't atrocious. And yes, ^nearly every basketball player flops/bitches about calls.
5/31/2012 9:55:33 AM
Yeah, people that complain about Heat bitching and floping clearly did not watch the LAC play this year, or Duncan and Garnet whenever they get fouled.
5/31/2012 11:38:51 AM
Seen this reaction about a million times, don't think he has ever committed a foul in his eyes.
5/31/2012 11:44:28 AM
Nail on the head.

5/31/2012 12:55:34 PM
Cmon Man, that Rondo graze was nothing compared to the beatin that Hansbro put on Wade. Rondo tried to milk the hell out of that one.
5/31/2012 1:02:42 PM
^^ Yeah...brain fart. They missed one obvious call. Big whoop. Heat took it to the rim throughout the whole game and for a majority of the 2nd half. Celtics shoot fadeaway jumpers all game. They're also fouling hard (half of the fouls on James and Wade are wrap-up-to-prevent-layup) type fouls. The officiating in this series has been fine. There might be a slight home court advantage, but it will be evened out in Boston. It won't matter though. Boston is too old and overmatched.
5/31/2012 1:08:20 PM
^^yeah but i mean, one was called a flagrant foul, the other wasn't called at all
5/31/2012 1:39:50 PM
I only caught the 2nd half of Game 1. It was mentioned that the refs weren't going to allow what happened in the Pacers/Heat series. So the refs had a short leash/whistle. The Celtics tested it and got penalized. It didn't matter...the Heat crushed them in Game 1 anyways. The Celtics looked like shit the whole game.
5/31/2012 2:03:34 PM
they actually looked quite good in the 1st half of Game 1
5/31/2012 2:14:24 PM
^^ The Celtics didn't test shit. You have no fucking clue what you're talking about.
5/31/2012 2:16:55 PM
The refs aren't taking any shit this series. It's been implied since the Pacers/Heat series ended. Are the refs a little quick on the draw?? Sure. But fucking deal with it. Don't talk shit, just play the game. Bunch of fucking babies in here.
5/31/2012 2:25:00 PM
T'ing Doc up because he said "Really" and then turned away...that's inexcusable you clueless hack.

Perkins is such an awesome defender
5/31/2012 9:17:39 PM
Cant stand Reggie Miller. Detracts from the game, voice sounds like Don Cheadle gargling loads. Kerr and Albert is just fine; if you must, bring in Webber.
5/31/2012 9:42:00 PM
I enjoyed Webber earlier in the playoffs, never had really noticed him before, but like you mentioned, I think it was because he's better than Reggie
5/31/2012 9:44:59 PM
so is that Dream Team thing on NBATV some 30 for 30 type one-time special, or is it actually a series?
5/31/2012 10:21:50 PM
Spurs playing garbage...well 20 wins in a row, they were due for a loss.
5/31/2012 10:56:00 PM
This shit is rigged.
5/31/2012 11:01:02 PM
Truly miserable game for Duncan. Spurs need to be careful, I know its hard to transition to splitter, but they have to do it or risk letting OKC back in the series.
5/31/2012 11:07:18 PM
this is a good old fashioned ass whoopingand does Charles Barkley yet know that he ate sheep balls]
5/31/2012 11:08:43 PM
yeah, OKC whooping the Spurs bench real good.
5/31/2012 11:09:13 PM
i still expect the Spurs to win the title, just calling it like i see it
5/31/2012 11:10:41 PM
Damn Duncan looked slow and old tonight. Parker clumsy as shit. Fire Pop, tear down the AT&T Center, screw the Spurs. San Antonio doesn't need the Spurs, just have the rodeo year round. OKC is legit, I hope they beat the Heat...
5/31/2012 11:21:05 PM
37 minutes, 19 points on 16 FGA, 6 reb, 1 ast, 6 stl, 1 blkThat's Thabo Sefolosha's line tonight. Not sure why it took Brooks two games to figure out he's the key, but OKC is DANGEROUS with him in the game. The Spurs had 21 total turnovers and that was clearly the difference out there tonight.Perkins dropped to 21 minutes and coincidentally had his best game of the series.
5/31/2012 11:47:30 PM
rally what impact do you think the crowd had on the game tonight
5/31/2012 11:54:43 PM
I don't know, how many rebounds did they account for?
6/1/2012 1:41:16 AM
the crowd didnt show up in the box score? they must have had zero impact then, thats the only logical mathematical answer
6/1/2012 1:59:21 AM
They didn't have a 20 point impact.
6/1/2012 6:08:06 AM
Both series will be 2-1 after tonight. I'm glad that the Thunder won. Both finals were looking like they could be anticlimactic.Thank God it's the weekend and I won't be a zombie here at work after these games.
6/1/2012 7:42:09 AM
There's a decent chance of it happening, but I don't know if Boston gets the win tonight. That game on Wednesday might have broken them.
6/1/2012 7:53:53 AM
I too think that it will happen.
6/1/2012 8:52:45 AM
Maybe but they have tons of experience to counteract that and will get the benefit of the doubt at home I'm sure. Rondo surely wont play like that but you'd expect Pierce and Garnett to play better.Hopefully the Celtics play their superstar center more than 5 mins too
6/1/2012 8:55:01 AM
agreed...Stiemsma needs no fewer than 48 minutes tonight for the celts to even be competitive
6/1/2012 9:00:17 AM
yeah its really getting ridiculous. Teams would kill to have that guy and the Celts won't play him against a team with no big men?!?!Look at Miami without Bosh. Here's what they want to do. They want to go Chalmers and Wade in the backcourt, Miller/Battier at SF, slide Lebron down to PF, then Haslem/Anthony at center. That's an effective lineup because Lebron can rebound like a PF and Wade is good rebounding guard. You have to force Miami out of that lineup and it's easy to do.If you put Stiemsma/Garnett out there together then you force Lebron to try to guard one of those guys. Probably not going to happen, right? At that point you force Miami to a suboptimal lineup of taking out Battier/Miller which hurts their spacing, sliding Lebron back to SF and inserting Anthony in alongside Haslem.Even still you have a size advantage on whoever Haslem has to try to guard and now you have a Miami team with no post players (Haslem faces the basket), and weak perimeter shooting. So now when Lebron has the ball you can shade him one direction and have a help man show. You can afford to rotate off Wade because he's not a good 3pt shooter. You've got two 7 footers to protect the rim if Lebron still attempts to drive into the help defender. Suddenly, Miami isn't that good of an offensive team.In the meantime you've got Stiemsma cleaning the glass and scoring on the other end because Miami has trouble against big men. The spacing works too because Garnett is effective from the perimeter. Let Rondo drive/dish and crash the glass (Stiemsma's presence will create a lot more loose ball scrambles on rebounds too). Suddenly you've forced Miami to adjust out of their comfort zone. It's that easy, this is basketball 101 type stuff. It's just bizarre what Rivers is doing. You think Lebron spent all offseason trying to figure out how he was going to beat Michael Pietrus???[Edited on June 1, 2012 at 9:24 AM. Reason : a]
6/1/2012 9:23:41 AM
I actually think Lebron could probably guard Garnett effectively. KG, at this point in his career, is not a significant low post threat. He's basically a jump shooter whose best offense comes from 18 ft. away.
