yeah the "selloff" i was expecting was only about 5%.
2/20/2018 3:47:38 PM
I mean, 5% daily swings are nothing in this world. Are you really trading based on anticipation of that small of a move?
2/20/2018 5:07:57 PM
No, I was saying I agreed with you and thats why I put selloff in quotations. It didn't actually happen. 5% was on par with the markets that day.I think it might have something to do with people like dtownral not knowing how to claim their LCC, the wallet coming out late or maybe the money that went into litecoin was more about litepay and less about LCC than we thought.[Edited on February 20, 2018 at 6:23 PM. i'm definitely not alone in not trusting LCC and not willing to make any effort to get it even for free

Buy?
3/8/2018 2:44:28 PM
yeah. im looking into buying iota cardano eos or qtum in that order but im still not sure and doing more research. anyone wanna offer their perspective on any of these 3.0 coins?
3/8/2018 3:42:41 PM
^ I personally own a decent amount of ADA. I believe it has a ton of potential. That Hoskinson guy knows what he is doing.
3/9/2018 12:32:26 AM
Everything they do is supported by peer-reviewed research. As a scientist, this sounds appealing, but I worry that it might put them behind in the fast-moving crypto world.
3/10/2018 4:04:17 PM
Makes sense a few months after I buy into crypto it goes into its longest downward cycle in history. Also iota is not fully decentralized is my understanding and still is insecure. http://blog.lekkertech.net/blog/2018/03/07/iota-signatures/

this hickup is bcause facebook and google don't want to see the status quo go. They can't stop crypto though, they can only slow it down momentarily...
3/15/2018 2:23:50 AM
Bought some ETH and LTC

I'm glad I only sunk about $500 into crypto over the last 6 months
3/29/2018 5:55:48 PM
why? were you planning on selling for a quick profit?
3/29/2018 9:06:17 PM
Because over that time period they've all fallen a lot, so I'm glad I didn't put more money in
3/29/2018 10:47:01 PM
We back?
4/19/2018 4:22:06 PM
yeah we never left, TT10 is just playing the short game. I can't believe bitcoin cash is being promoted. It initially took off because people mistook it for bitcoin. The other day, someone wrote an article saying to buy it and people rushed to buy it. Its nothing special but the new hardfork allows it to do simple smart contracts. This is like the litecoin rally all over again. I expect to see both out of the top 10 by the end of the year.EOS is getting ready to move into the top 4 though. The other gen 3 coins (iota, cardano, neo) shouldn't be far behind.[Edited on April 19, 2018 at 10:55 PM. Reason : stop pushing generation 1 coins ]

Its earth day. Is anyone into burst? Its been a major headache for me trying to mine it but a great learning process. I can't figure out why there aren't any new POC coins?
4/23/2018 2:18:31 AM
im so depressed right now because i made huge deposit to coinbase to buy eos on thursday and the deposit is still pending.
4/24/2018 6:01:45 PM
thats like a 79% loss
4/24/2018 6:07:53 PM
coinbase says 3 days deposit but after 9 days my deposit has just went through. eos was around $9 when i made that post and deposit and now its at an ath of $19. Sometimes i feel like coinbase is investing deposits during bull markets.

Yeah, but it could be 3%, it could be 1%...
6/17/2018 12:33:41 PM
I asked a specific whether you'd do it if you thought it was a 5% chance. The follow up is what you think it is yourself.
6/18/2018 10:33:27 AM
Of course, that's easy money.
6/18/2018 12:20:53 PM
^^^^^ That would make the stock of bitcoins worth more than all the dollars on the planet if I'm not mistaken. While there is technically no limit to how high a bubble can go, the higher it is the less likely it is to stay there. Sell. Think back to the time one building in Tokyo sold for more money than all the property in New York City. Bubbles happen. Just means the price is meaningless.
6/25/2018 10:19:27 AM
By my calculations, $250k BTC would be roughly 1/2 the US money supply.

I've got a friend who's heavily involved in the crypto community, probably has hundreds of thousands invested in crypto, has been actively advocating for it on social media telling people to buy into crypto. But then recently was looking for investors to buy action on a poker tournament, he wouldn't accept payment in crypto because it was too inconvenient. If anything kills crypto it's this... if even die-hard advocates with a lot invested in the ecosystem cant use it for actual payments, then it can never grow.i'm trying to decide if I should sell now and essentially break even, or wait for maybe another bubble and try to sell then. Either way I have zero faith in crypto long term-- does anyone have any reason to believe otherwise?
7/19/2018 1:27:42 AM
I know nothing about crypto, but i feel as the years go on, PC equipment and processors getting better, allowing you to mine faster/better, thus driving down prices... just get out now.
7/20/2018 5:54:02 AM

Big dip this week
8/8/2018 1:24:25 AM
^^ yah it seems like that's already built into the system. Over time, currency units get harder to mine based on existing currency units.

there will be another run soon, followed by a crash at the end of the year

I think we're going to fart around through the winter and have another run in the spring/summer 2019. Who knows tho!
8/16/2018 3:29:17 PM
I don’t think crypto is dead, but I don’t think it’s going to start rising again for maybe 2 yearsPainful to see it keep dropping though, thankfully I can afford to keep riding it out. Lots of lessons learned...
