continuing my earlier posts as I was on my phone and working at the timeIf Rooney leaves: United has gone from Ronaldo-Tevez-Rooney-Berbatov to Nani-Macheda-Chicharito-Berbatov. The latter is a formidable strike force... for a mid-table team. (and before the Liverpool hate starts up again, I know the state of my favorite club and I'm not happy about it either)They're losing stars and replacing them with younger not-as-talented reserves and decent but not amazing signings. And it doesn't look like a major injection of cash flow is coming any time soon from the owners. If you really believe guys like VDV and Ozil were available and Ferguson just decided to pass on them, go ahead. I think Rooney leaving is just another sign that the Glazers can't compete financially and lack the money/ambition to make moves in the future. That's why Rooney leaving should be a big deal. They're not only not buying star players, they're letting them all leave. In all honesty, I wouldn't have blamed Torres one bit for leaving this summer. A 4-4-2 under Hodgson with the forwards they have sucks for him, they were always an outside shot for top 4 this season, and he's not playing in CL. Maybe Rooney just sees what's on the horizon...

agreed, man utd won't be winning like they have been, that's for sure. They're becoming like a much bigger version of Ajax, a farm team for the big teams (even though man u is one of the big teams). It seems like man utd is just bringing all of these elite players up and then selling them for as much as possible.

I feel like I have seen this same this situation happen in the NBA this summer
10/20/2010 5:28:25 PM
nah Rooney already did that act when he left Everton and "took his talents to Greater Manchester"[Edited on October 20, 2010 at 5:45 PM. Reason : lol, both northwest England]
10/20/2010 5:44:29 PM
fucking Hodgson, he acts like he'd prefer Zamora over TorresRafa says he'd quit if they sold Torres, you act like a little bitch... go back to a mid-table team with your "we might not be able to keep our best players" mentality and your pussy tactics
10/21/2010 8:36:53 AM
it's alright everybody, I got this thread
10/21/2010 7:21:22 PM
That is some next level shit right there
10/21/2010 8:19:49 PM
well, so much for all that, looks like Rooney signed a 5 year dealI wonder what all the fans who said he was on the decline think now.[Edited on October 22, 2010 at 8:15 AM. Reason : and so much for my rant on the Glazers, they WILL spend money it seems]

10/22/2010 8:24:01 AM
can we? Lolverpool are still gonna get relegated.
10/22/2010 10:40:46 AM
he might leave but it won't be thereback to Rooney for a sec - Beckham signed a new deal in November the year before he was sold to Madrid. Maybe United's just maximizing his value before they ship him off in the summer (or January) so if Rooney agreed to the new deal, they'd agree to sell him
10/22/2010 10:58:39 AM
or maybe u mad
10/22/2010 11:03:17 AM

yeah he really got "smacked the fuck down" with that huge increase in pay he just got
10/22/2010 11:26:58 AM
Form is temporary anyway. That he hasn't been lighting up the scoring charts doesn't change the fact that he's world class.
10/22/2010 12:37:20 PM

lolbig Glazer fan now, eh? Enjoy
10/22/2010 9:09:35 PM
If they can convince the biggest player to stay instead of doing what everyone said they'd do and sell him off to service debt, that goes a long way to improving their perceptionthat one act alone shows that maybe they do have the best interests of the club at heart, or at the very least aren't looking to sell it to the highest bidder H&G style and are invested in winning more silverwareand also shows that u mad[Edited on October 22, 2010 at 9:25 PM. Reason : .]
10/22/2010 9:24:33 PM
United won't win any trophies this year, why would I be mad?

Tuncay just had a nasty goal to tie Stoke up /w Man Utd. First goal against Man Utd for Stoke in premiere league too. That's some NC State shit?
10/24/2010 10:14:03 AM
HOLY CHICHARITO
10/24/2010 10:16:17 AM
Well that tie lasted about 4 min. Man Utd's "little mexican" as the announcer called him just put one in during some traffic in the box. Chicharito is making a name for him self in Manchester.
10/24/2010 10:17:30 AM
Yeah, apparently as a "little Mexican".
10/24/2010 11:08:36 AM
just wait until next year when chongarito gets here

10/24/2010 1:33:21 PM
Sans the Cecs PK miss (or Joe Hart save rather), that Arsenal v Man City game was very satisfying to watch.
