It means they're too shy to say anything and want you to say something to them, under the pretenses that what they say in their profile is something you like.

It's basic female mentality. Expect to date someone completely submissive and insecure if you're down with someone who "chose" you. In other words, probably turn off those notifications. They don't even like them fucking selves...

The most important thing for a guy to ask himself when on these sites is, "would you hit that?" The rest of the stuff can't be determined by how many pictures of skydiving she's got, or some exotic place or describing some dumb adventure or food avenue or whatever. Sort that stuff out later. Ask yourself the one and only important question, and move on from there.

I tried that at one point and girls can see through that pretty well. Most of the responses I got back was when I commented on specific stuff in their profile so that it was obvious that I took the time to read it.

Also other people told me I was too picky as well but my opinion was I am not doing this to meet random people and go out I was trying to meet someone for a relationship and so why would I not be picky. May have taken me a long time but I finally found the right girl so I say keep being picky unless you are just antsy to go out and blow like 50 bucks on a girl you are meh about haha.

Dude, just go in there read the profile if she's cute, comment on it, and say something like "I'd love to talk about such and such over a drink sometime if you're interested in doing that." It's not creepy to want to meet someone from a dating website. You can tell the ones who think they have to have the perfect profile bc they've been on there forever with probably little success. Guys shouldn't care about that. But at the same time, a guy needs a pretty solid profile and that's how they derive you're not creepy. Don't get too detailed but make it fun to read.
