im gonna post this in the upcoming shows thread, but just wanted to say mansions will be playing (full band) at The Werehouse in winston on july 11th for their official EP release show.

Native Sound will be opening, with Far-Less and House of Fools playing as well. Doors at 7, show at 8. $7

should be an awesome show.

I'm not saying the new Sigur Ros is bad but It's definitely not anywhere near their last albums. Nothing is quite beautiful as Starálfur or as powerful as Ný Batterí, not nearly as cohesive as the two distinct halves of (), and not overly as perfect as I now find Takk... (it might be be personal favorite SR album right now) to be. But I still like it a lot.

^^ kick drum heart is definitely not on the second gleam. it's gonna be stripped down like the first one, and the kick drum (obviously) plays a big role in that song.

saw this band last night "Maps & Atlases," they really blew me away live. I think a lot of you indie fans on here would enjoy them a good bit.

"You And Me And The Mountain" is the name of their new album that comes out July 1st. If anyone could find it online that would be awesome, I was out of cash from buying a shirt and food before I saw their set (they had the albums for sale there).

he's going to open up the mansions show i mentioned earlier in the thread and i think native sound is getting moved to headliner. they have a lot of local fans that probably would have left right after they played if they stayed at opener and that's no good for the other bands playing.
