Desmond had a vision about her and Aaron getting into a helicopter if Charlie were to die at the Looking Glass. Charlie died so she has to get into a helicopter with Aaron at some point.

lol they talk about the zombie season in a podcast.btw i just started listening to these podcasts. kind of funny how far people read into stuff.

^^ In my mind she would have been like Charlie, Christian, Walt, and others who are believed to be dead/and or missing but who have been seen by various characters. I don't know if they're ghosts, dead, alive, time traveling, real, whatever... but more along those lines than a dead body up and walking around. I just didn't think of the simple fact that the body would still be back at camp, which pretty much puts a plug in the idea unless the body was moved.
5/11/2008 7:35:55 PM
methinks the black guy who was the orderly might be jacob? He said:"Next time you see me, you'll owe me one..."
5/12/2008 5:00:59 PM
i really can't start to speculate as to who abaddon or alpert are.but i'm pretty sure he isn't jacob.why would abaddon hire naomi to attack the island then move it in defense from the people that he ordered to come here? we do know that he told her that there were no survivors then later asks hurley if 'they' were still alive. not sure what this is a reference too and i'd assume we'll figure this out in the next 2 or 3 weeks considering his team is already back on the island and we already know what locke has to do to 'save' the island.]
5/12/2008 5:12:18 PM
^^ That's possible, although the only thing I could possibly think of that would go against it is the episode where Locke and Ben first went to the cabin and Ben was talking to Jacob but Locke couldn't see/hear Jacob. Then things started going crazy and stuff started flying all over the place and for a split second you could "see" Jacob sitting on the rocking chair. When you could see him, he wasn't black and he had hair. It might have been Jack's dad again or Jacob might be the smoke monster that can change shapes, etc.[Edited on May 12, 2008 at 5:24 PM. Reason : ]
5/12/2008 5:15:18 PM
i'm really iffy about jacks dad.i think people who arrive on the island and are already dead are reanimated by the island (like Yemi). Then again (according to lostpedia) yemi appeared to eko right before the smoke monster did. Maybe they are all somehow connected.could be confirmed if we see the dead docter wondering around followed by the smoke monster.

5/12/2008 5:59:47 PM
^Then how do you explain Zed (fat gay dude who was shot by sawyer) ending up outside the island in the real world guiding Michael towards the mission on the Whidmore ship heading to the island?
5/13/2008 12:01:31 AM
what the fuck are you talking about?
5/13/2008 12:31:56 AM
^^do you really not realize that what was happening in that episode took place long before he got shot...??
5/13/2008 1:10:37 AM
Zed? wtf did you get that name from? His name was Tom. And Sawyer shot him after he told Michael to go back to the island.
5/13/2008 9:18:41 AM
The added moxy they gave Claire made her hot as shit in that episode(to me).
5/13/2008 10:55:12 AM
pretty sure Sawyer calls Tom Zed.. maybe it was zeek
5/13/2008 11:01:22 AM
His character was initially introduced as Zeke back when very little was known about the Others. That is when he was wearing a fake beard and we thought he was their leader.
5/13/2008 11:18:06 AM
no one ever called him Zed.Sawyer called him Zeke or Bluebeard a couple times each.Fans called him the Gorton's fisherman for a short bit after his first appearance. The producers called him Mr. Friendly until he was given an actual name at the end of season two.[Edited on May 13, 2008 at 11:21 AM. Reason : some speculate that 'friendly' actually is his last name, which would be awesome, imo]
5/13/2008 11:18:54 AM
5/13/2008 2:47:51 PM
first offRyan, Zeke is what the guy was called and yes that took place before he was shot. I doubt the smoke monster is jacob for those saying that because Ben can obviously summon the smoke monster but can't summon jacob, from what we've seen thus far. I don't think the smoke monster summons dead people or takes the form of them or anything in that direction, personally. to take the locke's dad example, he was killed (or rekilled) by sawyer and didn't make any appearance of dissipating into smoke or a non-flesh state. People have visions out there. Some times its people who have already died or some times its people who are just away from the island, but we've never really seen any evidence of them being alive in the traditional sense of the word. its likely an explanation we have as of yet to concoct. at the end of this season i think we'll have most of our answers in that direction.
5/13/2008 5:03:50 PM
WRONG THREAD]
5/13/2008 5:04:46 PM
5/14/2008 1:26:32 PM
^lolbtw, the writers have said that we have seen the smoke monster more times than we think, and that sometimes when it is on screen we just don't know it. That is the main reason I think that at least some of the dead people on the island (specifically Yemi) are actually it. Whatever it is (nanobots or something), it obviously has the ability to "read" people's minds so I'm thinking that it is just able to take someone from your memory and manifest itself like that. I'd really like to know what that sound it makes is though... I remember even hearing it in that episode about Nikki and Paulo that nobody liked at the part when the spiders started coming out of nowhere.
5/14/2008 1:49:50 PM
^What in the fuck are you talking about?
5/14/2008 3:04:16 PM
Before this season started, the writers said that we have seen the smoke monster more times then we know, it has just taken the shape of something else. We already know it is able to read people's minds, so I think that for example on the case of Eko, it read his mind and manifested itself as Yemi who we already know to be dead.
5/14/2008 3:09:01 PM
I'll sign on to what you say in part, but i still disagree with it being connected to who was in the cabin. especially given that christian also showed up on the mainland/real world. i seriously doubt that the smoke monster is capable of such a range.
5/14/2008 3:15:49 PM
they also said the monster was not nanobots.
5/14/2008 3:31:30 PM
if the smoke monster is christian in the cabin i will stop watching the show.
5/14/2008 3:34:28 PM
Oh they confirmed that? I figured it was just some type of prototype Dharma weapon that got loose and nanobots was all I could come up with. I guess Danielle said it was a "defense system" but that doesn't say much...
5/14/2008 3:49:33 PM
Random question, probably covered a long time ago:Rousseau's distress signal that the survivors found in the pilot episode, it said something like "They're all dead, it/he has killed them all." Was that in reference to the purge?I haven't been paying much attention to this show the past two seasons, so I've probably missed it. Troll away.
5/14/2008 4:54:07 PM
I don't think so, she was never a member of the Dharma Initiative. She came to the island years after the purge.
5/14/2008 5:21:51 PM
I think Rousseau was around for the purge. The Horace guy from Locke's dream said he's been dead for 12 years, the tape has been playing for 16 years. That of course debunks the theory that the signal was related to the purge, but maybe Sayid just messed up his math.--From the Lostpedia article on the purge (hardly factual, but more credence to my post):
5/14/2008 5:25:59 PM
^wow. yeah. How else could Ben have found Alex at first? (did they explain that already?)Also

^ that's how they keep us coming back, the belief that they will eventually answer questions
5/15/2008 11:06:03 AM
^^ i think last week he made a reference to "enduring cancer" implying that it could have been taken care of, but he didn't allow it to based on what jacob had requested per what needed to take place.
5/15/2008 1:13:38 PM
aaron looks too old. he should only be 4-6 months old, or at most ~8

woot! uscg Aviation with the "rescue" k, so to harp on about the only thing in lost that I know about without having to google it.They do have C-130's stationed out of Barber's Point, HI but minimum crew for a C-130 is 2 Pilots (shown) 1 Nav, 1 Radioman and at least 2 crew in the back. Basically there were no enlisted types on that flight in the lost world...

"we took a boat and followed Ben's bearing", landed on an island, blah blah blahyeah, he's lying. He did some kind of space/time warp back to NYCbtw, what was Michael back before the crash? Any indication that he was an engine-fixing wizard?
5/15/2008 10:56:09 PM
aha, The Others are back!
5/15/2008 10:56:55 PM
Jesus Christ is not a weapon
5/15/2008 11:08:41 PM
Michael was an artist/architect type who at least dabbled in mech engineering/design. Remember he designed/built an aqueduct system and 2 seaworthy rafts on the island.I think the idea behind him having to fix the engines was the fact that he was the one who fucked them up to start with, so he'd know what had to be undone.
