So this has been a rough week and with so much on my mind...I didn't realize that Eli was on a bye week and Aaron Brooks was out. Unless one of these people checks their email by 4:15, I've already lost today Thankfully I have another league starting soon.
10/1/2006 2:19:27 PM
started deangelo williams over maurice morris at the last minute (12:59). deangelo had a great run earlier, hopefully he gets a few more carries in the 2nd.
10/1/2006 2:30:23 PM
Started Antonio Bryant over J-Co today.Oops.
10/1/2006 2:31:15 PM
^^ i think he will

10/1/2006 4:28:22 PM
Once again screw vinitieri and the Colts. They hold him out of practice thursday so I pick up another kicker, then yahoo news tells me he's gonna be kickning FGs and XPs, so I leave him in the lineup. And that bastard doesn't play AGAIN! and my backup scored 22 points! At least I'm still winning, so far, but I have played more people than my opponent has.
10/1/2006 4:31:35 PM
jets did well against colts. Too bad I didn't put in any of their good players. thnx thread!
10/1/2006 4:33:59 PM
ahaha, another dumbass move by me. I took norwood out for leon washington. norwood got 100 yards and a TD.
10/1/2006 4:41:55 PM
Well since Warner seems to have lost the starting job, should I pick up Bulger or Carr? Rivers is my other QB.
10/1/2006 6:27:34 PM
pick whoever has the best macthup
10/1/2006 6:41:01 PM
^^ Bulger is an awesome quarterback... i would have picked him up already if I was you.... today 328 yards 3td and a 2 point conversion...27 fantasy points in espn
10/1/2006 8:06:30 PM
Depending on McNabb, I could be 4-0 tomorrow.
10/1/2006 10:44:53 PM
I'm up 3.5 points. Other guy has chicago defense. Seattle scrubs just need to hold on to the fucking ball and not get sacked.
10/1/2006 11:16:09 PM
i should get my first win of the year unless Stallworth puts up 30pts.btw, our point system blows.for WRs1pt - 25yds-2 fumble6pts - TDI think I'm safe
10/1/2006 11:44:33 PM
ew. I hate leagues where only touchdowns matter.
10/2/2006 12:12:45 AM
Rudi Johnson For McNabb??I already have Peyton so no need for another stellar QB really, unless to keep a monopolyi need help at RB though, have Lamont jordan, Edge and Morris...thats really about it...so im pretty sure this is a good trade...go along with it?
10/2/2006 1:47:18 AM
Thanks Guru for the advice last week. I kept Chris Chambers in this week and he scored. In fact, I actually won 3 out of my 4 games. The one I lost in was by only 1 point.Guru is the man.
10/2/2006 10:01:07 AM
I aim to please.
10/2/2006 10:19:48 AM
i really played the wrong guys this weekend, with exception to Maroney and P.Manningberrian went wild, as did thomas jonesif i played them over bryant and bush, i might have had a chanceotherwise i doubt McNabb and Westbrook don't combine for 20 pts tonight
10/2/2006 10:32:39 AM
I have a question for next week though. Should I get rid of Ben Rothelisberger?I have Grossman, Big Ben, and P. Riv. on one team. I don't feel like I need 3 QBs.
10/2/2006 10:38:48 AM
10/2/2006 11:08:58 AM
4 points behind I have Stallworth left and he has Westbrookprolly gonna lose unless Philly goes pass crazy, which they may.
10/2/2006 5:19:58 PM
Even if they do, westbrook has been catching >5 passes a game and making the most out of them too.you're fucked
10/2/2006 6:23:09 PM
Is Stallworth even playing? He surprised me being out last week.
10/2/2006 7:31:13 PM
this just inWESTBROOK IS OUT OF THE GAME!!!!Stallworth is def. in the game though, this is great, never woulda won other wise
10/2/2006 7:37:55 PM
Good call.Ahman Green is also out.there will be 100 passes thrown tonight. I can't wait for this game.
10/2/2006 7:41:01 PM
are you kidding, westbrook and green are both out?!?!HOLY CRAP I'M GONNA WIN! (probably) I'm up by 23 right now, even though my points suck this week, but he has green, westbrook, and stallworth. If they were playing I would lose for sure.If stallworth has a huge game I could still lose though.
10/2/2006 7:51:19 PM
JESUS! I thought you guys were kidding. Glad I had the foresight to put Westbrook in my flex position. Replaced him with Stallworth with 20 minutes to spare. I don't know how he'll do, but something's better than nothing.
10/2/2006 8:08:38 PM
doesnt look like Stallworth is gonna get another catch, that SUCKS2 points and I needed 4
10/2/2006 11:53:40 PM
Thanks to the Panthers and 3/4 of my fantasy teams for a good weekend. Glad to finally go above .500
10/3/2006 12:29:07 AM
10/3/2006 12:38:26 AM
i have two of the three
10/3/2006 12:38:58 AM
I'm undefeated and in first place in one league, I've got Housh on a bye next week and am looking to drop Reggie Brown (who may be hurt) and cant decide who to pick up. I've got Deion Branch (who is also on a bye next week) and Braylon Edwards on my bench (who I plan to start in place of Housh)here are the best choices at WR on waivers:Cotchery vs. JagsBerrian vs. BufReggie Williams vs. JetIsaac Bruce vs. PackersGreg Jennings vs. StLMike Furrey vs. MinDoug Gabriel vs. Mia
10/3/2006 10:39:55 AM
^How many teams are in your league? Those are damn good WRs to still be on the wire. I'd take Reggie, Bruce, Berrian or Jennings. sorry for not much help but those four are solid.
10/3/2006 12:22:54 PM
pick any....the one with the best matchup. all of those WRs are pretty solid. and how they are still on waivers means your league is either small or the people playing aren't that competitive.
10/3/2006 12:51:58 PM
I have a lot of players with a bye week this week and I need to pick up a RB. I already have Clinton Portis starting. Free agents that I'm looking at are Ladell Betts and Michael Turner. Betts has looked good so far and I'm thinking of going with him. Is it a bad idea to start two RBs from the same team? I think Betts has the potential to put up decent numbers despite Portis being healthy.
10/3/2006 6:20:55 PM
there are 8 teams in my league, and I think those guys are still up there cause a few people think that since they arent big names the stats won't continue to be good, which works for me
10/3/2006 7:48:43 PM
This is a big fantasy week for me and I really need some advice. ANY ADVICE????????????????????????????ELI Manning vs Washington or BULGER vs Green Bayand then 1 RB, 1 RB/WR, and 2 More WR from these players (basically 4 including at least 1 RB)Willis McGahee vs ChicagoFrank Gore vs OaklandAnquan Boldin vs Kansas CityJoey Galloway vs New OrleansGreg Jennings vs St LouisJ. Cotchery vs JacksonvilleAnd then Defense (Rams or Chiefs)
10/3/2006 11:24:39 PM
bulger, gore, boldin, cotch, rams[Edited on October 3, 2006 at 11:27 PM. Reason : fhsd]
10/3/2006 11:26:41 PM
1 more from the list^ for rb wr
10/3/2006 11:31:04 PM
Troy Brown, Michael Clayton or Michael Turner in my WR/RB slot? I've got Steve Smith, Marques Colston and Mike Furrey at WR--Edge James and Willie Parker at RB. By the way, I'm 4-0! I'll be happy when I can put Smith, Furrey and Andre Johnson at WR; Colston at TE and Matt Jones at WR/RB.I think that'll be a pretty good offense.
10/3/2006 11:31:36 PM
This is a big fantasy week for me and I really need some advice. i got this oneBulger had one good game this season last week where he had big #s but thats about it. Eli has produced good fantasy #s throughout so far. Plus bank on the fact that NYG will be coming at Washington pretty hard.Go with Eli, Washington has a good rush D but there secondary has given up some points this year so far. Eli had a rough start last week but ended up throwing his balls off towards the end. He should be able to throw at least 250 yds and at least 2 TDs.Both QBs will prob have good #s but Eli is prob a more reliable choiceI would prob go with Gore vs Oakland because out of the RBs you listed, he has the best chance of getting good yardage because Oakland sucksI would then Boldin because he is a solid receiver and will get looks and Cotchery.Cotchery prob wont get more than about 65 yards but will prob get a TD, he has been pretty consistant this season and Jacksonville's secondary is overratedDef should be KC vs Arizona, hands down. GB will throw all over STL and it will probably be a high scoring game
10/4/2006 12:36:07 PM
I agree.Ok, this may seem off of the wall, and I am putting my status as a "Guru" on the line here, but I really feel like Jennings is going to be a good play this week, as is Cotchery.Driver is questionable with an injury and Fergueson has a badly sprained foot/ankle and is doubtful, so Jennings is the #1 receiver and will likely be paired with K. Robinson at WR if Driver cant go. He gets a ton of looks from Favre and will be playing at home.Cotchery is a good play because the Jags will have to throw to win. With Barlow at RB, they will not be able to run. If Coles plays, and it looks like he will, Mathis will take him. This will leave cotchery on thier 2nd CB and will give him the opprotunity to produce. I think he will produce less than 100 yards, and a score, like VOLCOM said earlier.I worry about Boldin. I am closely following this becasue I also own Boldin in a big $$$ league. They will be playing at home, but Lienart will be starting his first game against a Chiefs team that has to have this game. I am hesitant to start him this week based on this, but its very hard to sit a WR at the quality of Boldin. Feel free to start him, but with the defense and clock controlling ground game of the Chiefs, I dont think he will be very productive. lots of 6 rec 70 yds. No score. With that in mind, you also have to start the KC defense. So, I would start:Eli @ QBGore @ Oakland (but monitor his status before kickoff)Cotchery @ JAXJennings v. STLBoldin v. KC (I like Boldin here more than I do McGahee @ CHI)- The Guru.
10/4/2006 1:09:15 PM
i didnt know Driver was injured, yeah if Driver is injured then I would definitely start Jennings over Boldin[Edited on October 4, 2006 at 1:12 PM. Reason : .]
