Yeah, Lost is basically your run-of-the-mill boring TV show.

how many of you wanted him to push the button, and how many didnt?

i was pissed when JACK pushed the button
i understand sayid pushing it, he had no clue what was up
and locke of course could have pushed it

but JACK is the voice of fucking reason

pissed me off

i was happy hurley was going to let it go wrong

I was waiting for something scary to pop up in the film strip. It reminded me of "The Ring" or something like that.

i really didnt think Jack was going to push the button

but there was Locke once again tempting Jack toward the brink, the edge. he's always tempting people.

i think Jack really wanted to prove a point but at the same time, he was scared of the consequences if he didn't push the button

but i feel like Locke is having deja vu.....like he's been on the island before so he knows what's going on. he knows what's real and what's not. he knows where things are and how to really push people/tempt people into doing things

You can be a man of reason but when you're under pressure and you got yerself a cot damn jesus-healed cripple shouting at you to push the button, sometimes you push the freaking button.

Not to mention the fact that he had in the past 24 hours had a run in with a fucking smoke monster.

What was said in the film that was "edited out" was something like this:

Do not attempt to use the computer . . . for anything . . .

I want to know where the other entrance to the underground cavern is. They seemed to be able to come and go from it as they pleased once they found out about it.

I'm sure the computer can be used for something other than to input the numbers. I'm waiting to see if Sayid follows all the cables to see where they go and maybe we'll get to the bottom of this.

LOOK...IN THE HATCH!

Quote :
"well and going back to what Walt said......push the button, no button is bad"

walt is clearly a manifestation of the difference between locke and jack
the yin and the yang
the more jack and locke agree and come together, the less we will see walt

clearly

the only thing desmond knows about this setup is what the tape told him
and clearly the tape said not to use the computer for anything else
no surfing for porn, and no entering 32 instead of 42

Can somebody fill me in on when Helen was mentioned last season?

I remember Locke talking about her, but maybe not to her.

One more thing. Depending on how big the magnetic field is (we don't really know at this point), if it's large enough wouldn't it interfere with all that electronic equipment down there?

The Helen that Locke talked to last season was not the Helen from tonights episode. That Helen wanted to charge Locke if they talked any longer, so something definitely happened between those two.

Her name wasn't Helen, it was a phone sex operator he called Helen.

At least we know now that the polar bears are part of the experiment. Maybe the same goes for the sharks -- at another one of the 6 stations.

I wonder if the swan has any significance?
