all my friends are obsessed with this game, it really sucksall except one of them would rather sit and home and play this instead of going out drinking or going somewhere and being social[Edited on February 14, 2005 at 12:02 PM. Reason : .]

Games like WoW are just as much a hobby as a game.

I think I'll run to the badlands and hit up some rock elementals.
2/14/2005 1:22:43 PM
Gronke - I'm going to call you out publicly so you know for a fact that I haven't forgotten. You're either going to give back my 10g voucher for your "mount"Or you're going to run RFD with me till I get my Robes.
2/14/2005 1:29:42 PM
those badlands rocks dont stack into 20's though so it isnt as if you have the endless bag of money. i think most of the items go around stacks of 5. the crappier sellers stack better of course.

i'm almost 43 and would have a hell of a lot more money except that the ornate mithril armor and armorsmith quests are BITCHES. Somewhere around 300+ bars of mithril required for them all, as well as some other rare stuff. I farmed a decent chunk of it, but even I'm not so bored to run around Alterac Mts. for that long looking for mithril.Crafting addiction: 260 smithing, 260 mining, 300 cooking, 300 fishing. I'm a supplier of stonescale eel for two high-lvl alchemists on my server; they pay me 30s per fish, it's pretty nice.
2/14/2005 2:29:25 PM
Some of the high lvl stuff for crafters is either extremly rare or very hard to get.I think they did a good job with that, thought it can get frustrating.
2/14/2005 3:08:55 PM
I have no idea how much leather I had to to farm just to get tribal leatherworking.... leather, and damned turtle scales. UGH. There were 4 quests in all, each of which you had to make 2 of 2 items....and then I went to train in tribal leatherworking and the woman has all of 2 recipes The rest you have to buy or hope guild members get as drops....On the other hand, I've gotten lucky with some of my wild leathers... Arma's druid is still using some I made.
2/14/2005 3:26:14 PM
druids dont kill druids
2/14/2005 3:56:24 PM
Question for the druids:I want to make a purely dps druid so I would mainly focus on catform and it's damage multiplying abilities. But for some reason all the druids just seem to talk about bear form; is cat form just useless or what?
2/14/2005 5:30:42 PM
Cat form is currently very underpowered.
2/14/2005 5:34:00 PM
i dont kill my fellow warlocks either since we're so underrepresented on skullcrusher (the census has us as least common class close with druids).this is violated when they make me atk them like the dumbass who didnt know how to play his class earlier. im lvl 49 and killed a 56 warlock and im pure affliction for leveling, wtf. other classes were raping him too, this guy blew fucking hard.i wave and he decides to...banish my succy? he didnt even use his pet... dont ask me

Yea I figured I'd get at least one laugh from some of the smartasses on this thread. I was merely just throwing out the idea to see what you guys thought, and I was thinking relatively, meaning good dps for a druid character. The character would still obviously be useless without the added buffs and healing ability of a druid of course, but I just wanted a more offensive character.
2/14/2005 8:04:38 PM
i got three armor suits and have respeced 4 times, so yeah this "smartass" is going to laugh at some moron hoping for something he wont get.
2/14/2005 8:27:05 PM
I agree with Quinn's comment about dps druid. All the druids I know use bear because it makes their defense skyrocket and they try to tank as much as possible.Currently a 50 (1.5 bubs from 51) hunter on skullcrusher279 engineering (gnomish) 258 mining, 186 cooking, 300 first aid, 131 fishing

can you learn fishing, cooking, and first aid or just one...???...
2/15/2005 12:25:15 AM
you can learn all of the secondary abilities...you can only learn two professions though
2/15/2005 12:31:01 AM
DPS Druid... that's just... ow. My brain doesn't accept this concept. I was just talking to Wartorn, a lvl 60 druid on my server... he's... interesting. He's 8 balance, 22 feral, 21 restoration. He has the warden staff and over 10K AC in bear form... and the Hand of Edward the Odd for caster form. http://thotbott.com/index.cgi?i=21012 But yeah... catform has limited uses. 1) stealth. 2) falling off of mountains 3) dashing through undercity 4) killing caster type mobs that are at least -3. I hope one day they do something about the DPS... my feral gear is actually pretty agi heavy, so it would be great to make use of that!
2/15/2005 12:39:01 AM
Well that's a shitty spec.
2/15/2005 1:18:24 AM
Why do you say that? He was full restoration before he got to 60, but found that that particular spec... really can't do anything in PvP. Now he hardly ever loses (or at least so he says). I've not seen him PvP, I've only seen him in instances... and even with a rather strange spec like that, he's a valuable party member. He carries 2 sets of gear... I have 2, but I usually know whether I'm going to be tank or healer, so the second set is always in the bank. Just missed out on getting my first piece of Wildheart the other day... grr. The bracers dropped, and those are BOE, and there were no druids there. So all the guilds involved in the group had 1 person roll per guild... my guildie lost. Oh well... I already have a couple of level 55-ish BOP items in the bank.
2/15/2005 7:30:41 AM
hit lvl 60 monday and got my epic mount. it's so fucking fast w/ spurs and carrot i can run down anyone fast .
2/15/2005 9:09:27 AM
Full restoration is a druids most powerful PvP build. Any good opponent will just scare beast on you in feral form (provided they have a hunter) which is like a second fear spell. And the bottom half of the balance tree absolutely sucks.Thats bullshit that you didn't get that bracer. If there weren't any other druids there it should have been yours. I dunno what type of groups you run with that would do that :/I got two wildheart items (bracers/belt). I don't need 2 sets of armor because I never, ever tank. 2/15/2005 10:45:59 AM
now i just need to be able to shoot my gun from point blank range and i'll be happy. Capping someone right in the face would be soooooooo satisfying instead of seeing that "Target Too Close" BS.
2/15/2005 11:03:40 AM
^^^please note that both of those paladin "nerfs" you talk about are fixing bugs so that the abilities work the way they were intended to work in the first place, not intentionally smacking pallies with Teh Bat.]]
2/15/2005 11:05:40 AM
yeah, neither of those "nerfs" are really gonna effect my game as I am holy specced and paladins arent meant to do damage anyway. And the low level healing spell thing no longer has an effect on me anyway. I never used the Blessing of Light+Holy Light(Rank1) combination anyway. It was only used to decrease downtime. Meh.
2/15/2005 11:20:34 AM
my thought on SOC was yes, sacrifice more damage for more hits, giving you more chances to crit or have a chance on hit weapon go off.

saltwterkiss knows what she is talking about. Inneverate isnt the end all be all of druid builds. 5 talent points are wasted so that you gain 15% of your spirit mana regen during combat. Go and poll 10, level 60 druids (if you can even find that many), and ask them what their mana per second rate is. It is so small that the 15% isnt worth the 5 spec pts. Again same goes with health regeneration , if you cant survive without 15% regen rate during combat you obviosly are a fish out of water. Oh maybe we should consider intensity, all druids would love to have energy on shifting to cat form (you know since energy regens so slow and cat form is so deadly) . Perhaps we should look into furor, and while rage would be nice for a quick stun, this is where the usefuleness of rage on transition plays ends(not to mention you can wear a damn helm to accomplish the same goal). Subtlety looks like a good bet, you know since we need to reduce threat by our healing spells, this would make sense unless we take into account the fact that we have more armor than a warrior with an insta cast and dont group with morons who cant taunt. MoW, natures focus, natures swiftness, healing touch, gift of nature, rejuvuenation i will give you are all very useful and this is what i currently have which ironically nets 21 restoration talent points. Thank you come again.
2/15/2005 12:44:49 PM
The problem with innervate is that it is dispellable. Other than that its a free mana bar, which is very useful in many situations.22 restoration is fine if you don't plan on being a full time healer. Sublety is nice to have in high end raid content, but its useless in PvP and you have to respec out of it.What I like in restoration is the crit chance increase on regrowth and an 80% chance to avoid interruption on our only pbaoe heal is nice. With the spec she listed, yeah, it'll pretty much own in duels. But duels are useless :/Restoration with natures grasp, increased range, increased entangle, and the improved moonfire is what I'll be going with for PvE and PvP. Sub. won't be needed b/c I can just go cat and cower so I don't get run over in ubrs.Balance Mastery Nature's Grasp Rank 1 Improved Nature's Grasp Rank 4 Improved Entangling Roots Rank 3 Improved Moonfire Rank 5 Nature's Reach Rank 2 Omen of Clarity Rank 1 Balance Total: 16 Restoration Mastery Improved Mark of the Wild Rank 5 Nature's Focus Rank 5 Improved Healing Touch Rank 5 Gift of Nature Rank 1 Reflection Rank 5 Improved Rejuvenation Rank 5 Nature's Swiftness Rank 1 Improved Tranquility Rank 2 Improved Regrowth Rank 5 Innervate Rank 1 Restoration Total: 35 Thats basically what I'll be going with. My job is simply going to be to heal, cc, de-armor, and dot. Thats the way I fit into our guilds PvP plan.[Edited on February 15, 2005 at 1:23 PM. Reason : ed]
2/15/2005 1:17:21 PM
dont you feel that the 15% mana regen during combat is a pretty absurd requirement in the pursuit of "a free mana bar"
2/15/2005 1:49:13 PM
In the short run yes. Thats IF innervate is up. The way I see it it lessens the effect of a 6 minute cooldown.
