I need a white noise machine, the one I want to buy is forever out of stock, or if it is in stock it is on an overpriced website.

http://www.target.com/p/Conair-Infant-Sound-Machine-SU7/-/A-10270548

and it's not out of stock! but I'd still like to know if anyone has any recommendations.

my little brother had one of those as a baby. the womb sound freaks me out. I like static, rain, or waves.

i've been having coughing fits at night, and my nose and throat are drying out and cracking, despite using my warm mist humidifier. it seems the fan is the culprit.

2^I will look into this

Yeah, I'm pretty pathetic during fall allergy season. I can function with meds during spring allergy season, but ragweed is the devil.

This weekend I'm taking care of my niece again and this morning we woke up and I took her to the nicest little cafe I know. We sit down and order food and then she promptly started vomiting all over the place for no reason. All over the table, all over herself, all over the floor. It was like a horror movie.

I'm never having kids

oh god it was awful. I had her dressed so cute too. we left and now she's doing better. I made her pancakes and she ate them all and is now showering. I think she was watching other people eating and got sick. plus this concerta stuff really seems to screw up her eating. She never eats after I give it to her. I'm not giving her any today.

btw how long do kids shower? She's been in there forever I can hear her singing. she better not be using up all my soap

I told a coworker about a job I interviewed for, didnt get, and he should apply. He applied, had the phone interview and now has the in person (of course, he has tons more experience then I do because I stayed in college a longer). Anyways, looks like he will get it, they had many openings, my in person interview went bad and I figure in a month he will be gone (have 4 week intense training class coming up in Oct). I did get his contact info and he got mine, sometimes it is who you know. I figure if they have so many openings, a good recommendation by someone on the inside could get them to reconsider (it is not like they are being very successful at getting people). Anyways, the coworker is on track to be in management and he is going to take (most likely will offer) this new position due to advancement potential. This position also is like 99% travel and your office is your home. I think within a year he will be in management. Happy for him but bummed about my situtation.

[Edited on September 4, 2011 at 3:34 PM. Reason : Also gets him out of the way for 2 internal positions we both applied for.....]

And so ready for this weekend to be over. I've had bad luck this weekend and now I'm exhausted after trying to stay positive for so long.

Beef stew smells amazing!! I can't stop sneaking bites.

Need to cut potatoes bigger though so they don't turn to mush each time I use them in the slow cooker.
