there has never been a better instance for this face

is packpride.com down? I saw where they removed a thread or two about the scandal and banned a few members for something (personal information i think), but now I can't access the site.
9/1/2012 12:47:31 PM
Yeah Scout has been up to some SHADY ASS SHIT covering up UNC. You now have to login to even view packpride.]

Yes, which renews my current attitude. This should only serve as a green light for every school everywhere to keep athletes eligible via giving grades. Maybe even skip the whole pesky enrollment process as well.
9/1/2012 7:25:45 PM
settle the fuck downone, UNC released the statement, not the NCAA - they certainly used favorable wordingtwo, there are THREE ongoing investigations at UNC into all aspects of fraudthree, if you're really that retarded about all this, you should be on SFN with all the other batshit crazy people
9/1/2012 7:58:06 PM
goalielax sure would know about ncaa penalties being a georgia tech fan and all

All NCAA focus in on Rodney Purvis. They do not have time for such hearsay.
9/3/2012 2:24:26 PM
i fucking wish. they seem to have declared him ineligible and moved on.

Since I was at Death Bowl this weekend (aka the UNC/Elon game) I can post shots to give you an idea of attendance. Between the ridiculous scoring situation and the blast furnace air quality, there was no reason to stay beyond halftime. I did not post these in the Digital SLR thread, but here is a trio of panoramic shots I took a couple minutes into the second quarter so you can get an idea of the crowd at probably its largest point.
9/3/2012 4:56:50 PM
looks like the blue zone is still doing well...
9/3/2012 7:07:07 PM
That's not too terrible. Probably 25-30,000.Much less than 55,000 or whatever they "estimated" though.
9/3/2012 7:25:54 PM
That's more than I"ve seen at any UNC game I've been to.
9/3/2012 10:40:17 PM
It's more than half full. I'd probably credit them with 35k through the turnstiles.
9/4/2012 12:08:40 AM
New Kane article out but I can't post from phone. Nothing new really

ANOTHER IC press release:
9/4/2012 5:30:03 PM
they announced 50,500[Edited on September 4, 2012 at 5:35 PM. Reason : honestly, not too far off. it's probably more like 46k but yeah.]
9/4/2012 5:34:46 PM
^^so that's it? it's over?(i haven't really been paying attentino)
9/4/2012 5:39:41 PM
basically. Handing out A's in fake classes is OK, but getting D's in real classes is not.
9/4/2012 5:51:59 PM
wonder what some of the other NCAA-punished schools think about that
9/4/2012 5:54:39 PM
UConn fans are justifiably pissed. It's not over as long as the cyberterrorist hackers over at PackPride are on the case.

9/4/2012 7:20:03 PM
maybe the ACC will do something....Hah laff
9/4/2012 7:23:31 PM
It's not over, there are still 3 separate investigations going on.
9/4/2012 8:49:54 PM
Just because UNC is trying to sweep this under the rug doesn't mean that it's going to happen. The NCAA hasn't actually delivered a statement yet, and I'm pretty sure they are getting constant calls and emails each and every day.Too many people know about this now. They said the same thing when the football scandal was developing

You know when it's ok to receive improper benefits??? When the NCAA is giving them to you lol

Article comparing Uconn to UNC:

http://www.dailytarheel.com/m/article/2012/09/the-decision-not-to-pursue-sanctions-is-deplorableLol the comments
9/5/2012 6:55:51 PM
^one of those comments references academic fraud incidents at Michigan and Florida State, which, after reading into, seem very similar to what happened at UNC (steering to no-show classes, issuing grades with minimal to no work, etc). not only is that a poor argument from that poster, it reinforces the need for further investigations. I wasn't that familiar with those incidents at the other schools, but the NCAA appears to have stepped in and issued sanctions in those cases. How can the NCAA now wipe their hands of this and say no academic violations have taken place??? This is really disturbing.
9/6/2012 9:36:15 AM
^ from the comments:
9/6/2012 9:36:27 AM
So all the reasonable comments are from tww shills. And I thought the line was that UNC told the NCAA all about the AFAM issue while they were being investigated last year (lol).[Edited on September 6, 2012 at 9:53 AM. Reason : -]
