What a wild day of soccer

- No goal on an obvious goal
- penalty red card
- arsenal multiple injuries in first 15 min
- Ederson just destroying his own defender

Fair point. Spurs had a great 30 min spell after their goal but like typical mourinho they didn’t really create much. Pogba and Bruno together looked lively. Thought we could have and should have snatched a winner late but can’t fault the performance. Fair point, Rashford looked a bit rusty though and could have even better.

Same old Chelsea issues tons of possession, lacking that final pass in the final third. Defense still shaky allowing goals against run of play. Can't play like this on Thursday, thankful cushion is still 5 points.

Going to be a close end to the season this for top 4. Looking at the fixtures for 3 to 6 it seems around 4 or 5 points will separate 3 to 6 as well. United have the easiest run in on paper but after Sheffield tomorrow the next three are Brighton, Bournemouth and Villa who are all in the relegation battle and arguably harder to play them at this moment.

Chelsea has the hardest fixture list left and the others really needed them to drop points against Villa. Chelsea has just about enough quality to get them to 3rd I think although I don't believe Chelsea is actually a better team than United or Leicester. They have done well to beat the lower tier teams, something United struggles with and that should land them in good stead for CL. Obviously they will only get better heading into next season but they did need that investment to maintain their level at the very least.

If United win the next 4 I think we will take that 3rd spot. Signs are encouraging but De Gea has let us down hugely. Against Everton and now Tottenham two huge mistakes that could cost us top 4. Ironic.

Leicester: 54 points
Brighton - 3
Everton (A) - 1
Palace - 3
Arsenal (A) - 0
Bournemouth (A) - 1
Sheff Utd - 1
Tottenham (A) - 3
Man United - 0

Total: 66 points

Chelsea: 51 points
City - 1
West Ham (A) - 3
Watford - 3
Palace (A) - 0
Sheff Utd (A) - 3
Norwich - 3
Liverpool (A) - 3
Wolves - 1

Total: 68 points

Man United: 46 points
Sheff Utd - 3
Brigton (A) - 3
Bournemouth - 3
Villa (A) - 1
Southampton - 3
Palace (A) - 0
West Ham - 3
Leicester (A) - 3

Total: 65 points

Wolves: 46 points
Bournemouth - 3
Villa (A) - 3
Arsenal - 3
Sheffield Utd (A) - 0
Everton - 1
Burnley (A) - 3
Crystal Palace - 3
Chelsea(A) - 1

Total: 63 points

lol Liverpool losing the title after such a huge lead would be gold. They would never hear the end of it after being cocky twats all season. Too little too late though. City can win out sure but I also don't think Liverpool will struggle to get 5 points out of Arsenal (3 right there), Villa, Palace, Burnley and Brighton. Its a pipe dream.

That's fair. However Leciester's form over the last 6 matches (including 2 after the break) have them in 13th when compared to everyone else. 6 in 6 is very poor compared to 11 for United and Wolves and 10 for Chelsea. They have picked up 10 points in the last 10 matches as well and are 14th on that form table. United & Chelsea in the same time frame have picked up 15 and Wolves picked up 16.

They struggled to find some form in the last two matches as well. That's likely down to rust but that doesn't bode well for them if they need more than 2 or 3 matches to find that form. So just think Chelsea Wolves and United if they maintain their consistency can take that spot.

Right but United haven't won more than 2 games in a row all season either. It's gonna be tough because I think they really need 6 wins out of 8 to even have a shot.

Amd I guess I meant CL spots for Leicester, not just 3rd because Chelsea is closer than I thought.

Well thats tough because we literally did that two weeks before football was called off. Beat Chelsea away 2-0 and Watford 3-0. I am also not just talking about United. My predictions have us finishing 5th. Its more that Leicester are in serious danger of falling out of the top 4 if they can't fix their form and given the consistency of the three teams below them.

We will see how United end the season and Chelsea as well given the fixture list. There should be no excuse to at least get 16 points out of the 24 available. I think even that would be a little disappointing and realistically we should be aiming for 20 given the strength of the fixtures left. I am more interested to see how we continue to play and develop with Rashford and Pogba back on the pitch though. If we play like we did Spurs 2nd half for 90% of the 8 matches left and come up short then so be it.

More than 2, as in 3 games in a row. Not saying it can't happen but they're definitely up against it. I think Wolves has as good as chance as any team right now of sneaking into 4th.

regarding Leicester, two draws isn't ideal but I watched both of their games since the restart and it wasn't completely terrible. They should have beaten Watford and although Brighton was a bit closer, they were comfortable throughout aside from the missed Maupay penalty.

I mean if we are dealing with hypothetical we should have beaten Everton and Tottenham and kept 5 clean sheets if De Gea didn't have two brain farts. That would have been 5 wins on the trot from Tottenham (A), Man City, Everton (A), Watford and Chelsea (A). I would say its a pretty good return even as it stands from that fixture list. To me you are too focused on United and slightly disrespecting us but I am just judging off your responses and of course my United bias.

Again, I am just looking at recent form and all three United, Chelsea and Wolves have been around the same consistency over the last 10 matches. I am clearly stating that these three teams are more poised to finish 3rd and 4th respectively which includes Wolves. If its hard for United surely its just as hard for Wolves or Chelsea who is only 5 points ahead and both of them with a arguably harder fixture list. Either way that last match day is going to be very interesting as things stand with Chelsea v Wolves and Leicester v United. 3rd and 4th could come down to those two matches on the last day.

I like this united team and balance. I will be very curious to see how this midfield gets on. Matic provides good defensive cover and allows Pogba and Bruno to push up. Bruno's work rate is immense there as well and I hope it allows Pogba more freedom. I think Greenwood over James is also a better option and brings some much needed quality to the right hand sided. I like James but his final product is not good enough and he needs to improve. We desperately need someone like Sancho on the right and let Greenwood develop.

Toughest fixture left on paper and 3 points today would be massive. Ole and the team have to win the next 3 or 4 to set the tone though. Definitely nervous today.

It’s ok. We’ll do our talking the pitch. Good professional performance against the exact type of team we struggle against. We are 2 DDG mistakes away from 6 straight clean sheets. 7 more left, let’s get on with more of the same.

lol I keep forgetting that's why wazza is so anti-Leicester. The accusation about bias from Liverpool fans is really just his.

If I were United, I would go after Ndidi big time this summer. I know Grealish/Maddison are the ones we always hear about but now we see Pogba/Bruno working together, I think a true DM makes more sense.

Anti Leicester because I think looking at the form table it makes them the likeliest to fall out of the top 4? This whole conversation just typifies the ridiculousness of Liverpool fans on here. I have given you objective evidence to back up my thoughts and all you have come up with is that I am anti leicester and spouting shit?

Everyone and their mom knows we need a DM, that is why Matic was given the extension for depth. We also need to get rid of Periera and Lingard though and I'd rather we sign VDB to replace them over Graelish or Maddison, both of whom are in my opinion not worth the outlay.

RW (Sancho), DM, Depth at CAM (VDB), and CB would be an ideal window but I would also be happy if we get Sancho and someone like VDB.

It's wild you think looking at the form table alone (especially after months off) makes you "objective".

Fyi if United finishes in 3rd and Leicester finishes, I don't know, 40th, nobody here will care but you. It would be kinda funny from a tww perspective if manu collapsed, but otherwise I don't spare a thought for any non Liverpool team but City. United is almost 40 pts back, making it to 3rd will have zero effect on my mood.

Btw a TRUE objective rater (regardless of whether you agree with their ratings), 538, currently project manu at 5th but have 3-4-5 at 66-65-64, which basically means it's anyone's game. they also rate Manu far higher than Leicester and have most of the season. You hate xG but it's pretty consistently said that manu have been unlucky (another term you hate) this season. Leicester and Liverpool have overperformed their expected points, Liverpool wildly so. That's just the way it goes sometimes, it doesn't diminish the accomplishment to be eyes open about the role of luck, every winning team uses it and needs it.

I mean I would hope we wouldn't impact your mood. None of what I said was focused on United. In fact I specifically mentioned to aimorris that he was too focused on United and my discussion was clearly about how exciting of a finish it could be for top 4 with Leicester' form and the form of the three teams below them. Yes I did say according to me it is disrespectful what was said about United and I even caveated that by saying MY united bias. I guess I should stop spouting shit that discusses the chances of 4 teams finishing in two spots with the only objective evidence we have despite the break. And yea I back my team to try to finish in the top 4, excuse me for having the gall to back my team which is clearly on an upward trajectory regardless of the arm chair opinions here.

Yea i mean you started it by saying aimorris was showing "disrespect" and "having a hardon" for other teams whatever the fuck that means, so I guess im not sure what set you off if everyone agrees.

Nobody sad a single bad word about united, or really much of a good word about other teams.

hmm saying hypotheticals about Leicester having two bad games but not terrible and saying Wolves are likelier to finish 4th in the same sentence that United would struggle to win 6 out of 8 despite Wolves having the harder run in and also needing similar wins given that we are on the same points....

Lol if United had played the way Leicester has since the restart the memes would be golden on here. I watched them too and Leicester was down right abhorrent and couldn't create a chance to save their lives. Against teams like Watford and Brighton.
