Goldie if Cruz becomes president will I be required to purchase a bible for my household and will premarital sex be banned?
2/12/2016 5:27:32 PM
So as a unaffiliated voter, why shouldn't I vote in the GOP primary for whoever is 2nd to trump in the polls?
2/12/2016 8:11:03 PM
Why would you?
2/12/2016 8:20:05 PM
^^^ That's an easy one - no and no.[Edited on February 12, 2016 at 8:26 PM. Reason : Or wait, did you mean purchase a 2nd Bible?]
2/12/2016 8:25:53 PM
^^to increase the chances of trump not gaining first
2/12/2016 9:16:09 PM
because cruz is worse[Edited on February 12, 2016 at 10:39 PM. Reason : everyone is worse except kasich who will never be near 2nd.]
2/12/2016 10:39:03 PM
^^ I changed to unaffiliated to vote for Trump...why don't "we" want him to finish first again?
2/12/2016 11:27:31 PM
Because I can foresee Trump exceeding his expectations and maybe becoming president... this is a seriously worrying idea for me.
2/13/2016 12:34:56 AM
Uh, in NC don't you have to be registered for a parry to vote in that primary? You guys have until the 19th to fix your registration
2/13/2016 8:14:35 AM
I say kind sir, shall we parry![Edited on February 13, 2016 at 11:39 AM. Reason : s]
2/13/2016 11:39:26 AM
^^ i was mistaken, not sure why i was confused about that, in NC unaffiliated voters chose their ballot
2/13/2016 11:59:13 AM
^^ nope

this debate has me loling
2/13/2016 9:37:38 PM
Holy shit this is getting hilarious.
2/13/2016 9:38:32 PM
Trump is flexing pretty hard
2/13/2016 9:40:29 PM
It's down to Cruz rubio and trump
2/13/2016 9:51:48 PM
Cruz just yelled at Rubio in spanish
2/13/2016 10:08:22 PM
Still haven't seen a translation of what he said though. I'm going to have to go back and babelfish that exchange when I do my debate film session tonight.
2/13/2016 10:47:21 PM
https://twitter.com/jbarro/status/698982110850252800I wonder what polls Rubio is seeing that makes him think this is a good idea.
2/14/2016 7:27:45 PM
Trump has a huge lead in Nevada polling, but if you combined Cruz and Rubio they would be about even with him. When Jeb and Kasich drop out, I expect their supporters all go to Rubio as the least crazy of the three, then eventually the RNC will convince Cruz to drop out knowing he has to give Rubio his support otherwise Trump will take the ticket.
2/15/2016 7:17:55 AM
So the RNC is going to convince the guy who has come 1st and 3rd in voting thus far (Cruz) to pledge his delegates to the guy who has come in 3rd and 5th in voting thus far (Rubio)? That doesn't seem to make sense. But hey, I'm just a wacko Cruz supporter who can't do math much good.[Edited on February 15, 2016 at 7:40 AM. Reason : ...]
2/15/2016 7:40:13 AM
But you understand how much the party dislikes Cruz, right?
2/15/2016 9:27:50 AM
Yes, and vice-versa, which is why it seems overly optimistic to assume Sen. Cruz will simply agree to anoint Sen. Rubio if/when the RNC asks.
2/15/2016 10:29:00 AM
if he wants to be vice president he will have to play nice
2/15/2016 11:14:51 AM
jeb isn't dropping out. he keeps talking about being "second amongst the candidates who can actually win" which means he sees himself and rubio as the only long term candidates.

Trump is set to crush his opponents in the primaries/caucus in sc and Nevada.
2/17/2016 12:41:38 PM
Yah polls there are pretty bonkers:Nevada: Trump 45, Cruz 17, Rubio 19, Carson 7, Bush 1, Kasich 5SC: Trump 35, Cruz 19, Rubio 17, Bush 8, Kasich 9, Carson 7
2/17/2016 12:47:26 PM
So which of Rubio, Bush, and Kasich does the GOP after South Carolina threaten with violence if they don't quit their campaign? The 3 candidates combined have 19 delegates. Trump has 17 and Cruz has 11.(Carson 3, Rand Paul 1, Fiorina 1, Huckabee 1 on the others. Don't think any have made an official endorsement.)
2/17/2016 2:31:32 PM
^ that's the question... who will voters rally around if the non-Trumps drop out... do they go to Trump?Seems like they'll want to make this happen sooner or later before Trump gains too much momentum.I dont see Cruz winning the general election under any scenario, I see Trump possibly winning the general.
2/17/2016 3:07:36 PM
I think it was Rubio who was polling the best against Clinton or Sanders[Edited on February 17, 2016 at 3:50 PM. Reason : but that might have been before his mr. roboto performance]
2/17/2016 3:50:21 PM
^^ listening to a 538 podcast where they looked at exit polls, they said that Trump supporters loved him, but if you didn't support him, you hated him; so if guys fall out his support if the exit polling is correct should not go up much, but the larger the field, the better for himStill thinking it's a 3 person race minimum in November.
2/18/2016 9:47:44 AM
Recent RCP poll averages have both Rubio and Cruz beating Clinton in a head to head. Trump is still behind based on RCP averages, but I did see one earlier (can't recall the poll) where even Trump has pulled to w/in the MOE in a head to head against Clinton.http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/2016_presidential_race.html[Edited on February 18, 2016 at 12:30 PM. Bad news for Ted Cruz: his eligibility for president is going to courthttp://www.vox.com/2016/2/18/11058038/ted-cruz-courtThis is only really bad news until the case is resolved.

That's it. Kasich is out for me. http://jezebel.com/john-kasich-was-a-linkin-park-fanboy-way-before-tonight-1760024109

So the main headline on Drudge right now is an article blasting Sen. Rubio on immigration. That can't bode well for his chances today in SC. It's like he really thought everyone would just forget about his involvement with the 'Gang of 8' because of how much he loves America and because he's so handsome when Sen. Cruz is far more handsome anyways. [Full disclosure - I am an ardent supporter of the aforementioned Sen. Cruz.]http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/02/19/eve-south-carolina-vote-nations-ice-officers-detail-marco-rubio-betrayed/
2/20/2016 7:38:36 AM
Immigration is pretty low on the concerns of most SC residents so I doubt that would be the thing that hurts him. I still see Cruz coming in second though.
2/20/2016 8:33:01 AM
Possibly, but most SC residents aren't voting today, so amongst the primary voters immigration is likely a bigger concern.
2/20/2016 9:29:25 AM
I kinda hope Kasich or Bush comes in second because I really do hate the senators more than trump.[Edited on February 20, 2016 at 10:21 AM. Reason : trump is almost cute but the senators are smart and dangerous]
2/20/2016 10:20:32 AM
I haven't seen any polling that puts either ^ close to second. Kasich isn't even staying in SC for a post-election speech from what I've read.
2/20/2016 10:25:16 AM
Big shocker that Goldie is a Drudge reader
2/20/2016 12:05:44 PM
^^My post was wishful thinking and not the most likely outcome. Although there hasn't been enough polling out since the Cruz case went to trial. I don't know why SC voters would vote for someone who might be declared natural born canadian. Even though its most likely not going to happen, the fact that its going to court should cast a cloud until its over.Kasich will probably surge after that young man they planted in the crowd crying at that town hall went viral. [Edited on February 20, 2016 at 2:23 PM. Reason : k]
2/20/2016 2:22:04 PM
Anyone can sue anybody for anything in this country - the "Cruz case" is without merit and will be summarily dismissed. [Full disclosure - my judgment on these issues may possibly be influenced by my profound respect and admiration for Sen. Cruz.]And maybe Kasich would see a bump in his numbers after the embrace seen 'round the world if he was running in the Dem primary - us R's don't get as excited about feels and made for tv shows of compassion.
2/20/2016 3:21:23 PM
2/20/2016 3:30:29 PM
to be fair, thats not a show of compassion. it was famous because he fired people.

That's true, Republicans are decidedly devoid of any compassion, it's just anger and rage.
