Saw this on FB. The black helmet, black shirt, and red pants looks really awesomehttps://packathletics.exposure.co/respecting-traditions-building-new-ones

Agreed although some of those combos with black look like Texas Tech[Edited on November 7, 2014 at 9:47 PM. Reason : fn]
11/7/2014 9:46:42 PM
rflong is right. The combinations of the uniforms look really cool, but they definitely do not look NC State. They look like TTech. We need to find a way to make our uniforms unique for us. I mean, there's only so many ways you can wear Red and White, but c'mon man.
11/8/2014 12:18:00 PM
While I do like some of those jersey combinations. I have to LOL at the "respect traditions" as if we have some kind of traditional jersey or look. We seem to change our jerseys every 3-4 years. It's not like we're Alabama or Penn State or whoever and have been wearing the same jerseys forever
11/10/2014 8:32:24 AM
where da pink unis at?and the red/white only helmet?
11/10/2014 8:52:28 AM
^Those weren't bad IMO. Obviously it's not something you'd wear but probably once/year. But I thought they were kinda decentthink the reason those aren't on the site is that we worse those under TOB...so they're pretty old and no longer in the rotation, I'd assume.[Edited on November 10, 2014 at 8:56 AM. maybe one day we will have a home schedule that doesn't suck and at least half of the games are after 3:30 in the afternoon.
11/10/2014 1:47:56 PM
Anybody know what the visiting sections are Kenan? Me and some friends are thinking of going to the State/UNC game and would rather sit near State fans if possible. IIRC, they're in one of the top corners...just dunno which corners.

This was my "prediction" I found earlier in this thread
11/16/2014 1:34:12 PM
So it was Street that went out and couldn't put any weight on his leg? I couldn't tell at the game. Any word on him?nm, just found this on PP
11/16/2014 3:20:07 PM
i may really regret it...but just bought tickets to the UNC/State game. They were ~$40 on stubhub.
11/17/2014 9:48:27 AM
^Yeah, been kicking around the idea myself. Seems like the weather may be fairly mild that Saturday according to some long range weather models, so I wouldn't be sad if it was a 12:30 game.
11/17/2014 10:00:50 AM
Yeah I actually wouldn't mind it being a noon kick off. Especially with it getting dark earlier now...a 3:30 kick is liable to be kinda cold by the end of the game. From what I've seen of UNC, their run D is non-existent. I'd love to see us run the ball like we did against Wake. Only threw, I think, 18 passes. If we can hold onto the ball and not turn it over, establish a strong run, and keep our D off the field as much as possible we can win. But I'm still not overly optimistic. Their offense is scary.
11/17/2014 10:27:31 AM
their offense is scary good, but their defense is scary bad.our offense is ok, our defense is not ok.SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE

11/17/2014 12:46:13 PM
Have fun tailgating in a fucking parking deck.
11/17/2014 1:04:07 PM
^^as expected ^ yep, lol. some state fans complain about not having football and basketball stadiums on campus. the parking and lack of tailgating would be a nightmare.
11/17/2014 1:06:52 PM
I'd love to have a bball arena on campus (or at least, walkably close to campus). Football, no way.It was good we got the run game going against Wake. The one big advantage we have on UNC is our run game vs their run defense. Need to wear their asses out on the ground.
11/17/2014 1:22:46 PM
Hopefully we'll actually run the dang ball against UNC. We're averaging over 5 yards per carry on the season, and the Wake game seems like the first time all season we've actually decided to commit to the run
11/17/2014 1:38:34 PM
Hopefully we'll commit to using the read-option with Brissett.
11/17/2014 2:21:30 PM
Before the season started we were given odds at o/u 5.5 wins. We've already met expectations and will get a bowl invite.Even though I shouldn't, somehow I still feel like this season was a disappointment.
11/17/2014 9:49:34 PM
^I think some of that had to do with FSU and Clemson being our first two ACC opponents.***********************************http://espn.go.com/blog/acc/post/_/id/77294/by-the-numbers-week-12-recap
11/18/2014 12:50:52 PM
^That's impressive. And ^^, I'll kinda second that. Not that I had particularly high hopes for this team (was thinking 6 or 7 wins was reasonable given the schedule), but I guess I got too caught up in the FSU game. And thought that we might actually be significantly better than we ended up being. In reality, the first half of the FSU game was a total outlier for the season. And the team we saw struggle with Ga Southern was much closer to who we actually are.

Did some glancing around at bowl projections and the opponents I saw were ECU, UCF (in St. Pete), and Michigan.Plz to get Michigan. That's the only one we can win.
11/20/2014 10:40:30 AM
Other than the loss to BC this season went about as expected other than how close some our cupcake games actually were. Winning this week at UNC would put us slightly over on wins, but mostly I dont wanna lose to those smug cheating assholes yet again.
11/20/2014 10:49:45 AM
I'd love to play a team like Michigan, Penn State, or Florida in a bowl. A team that's down (ie, a winnable game) but has strong name recognition
11/20/2014 11:53:02 AM
A good story on senior Art Norman. He's had the third most sacks in Wolfpack History. And I wasn't aware that he has his degree in mathematics!http://www.gopack.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/112614aaa.htm
11/26/2014 12:15:50 PM
If you expected to beat BC this year, you need to work on your methods for developing expectations. At that rate, you'll probably expect an acc championship next season.

11/30/2014 11:14:13 AM
Will Bauman is the only State player selected to the All-ACC team. He is the 1st-team punter. Out of 3 all-conference teams, no one else made the list. Shad, Norman, and Teal received honorable mention but didn't make the cut.For what it's worth, UNC had no 1st team selections, but 3 overall.
12/2/2014 2:27:40 AM
Well if Shad actually got a decent amount of touches he would have made a team.THANKS OBAMA
12/2/2014 6:57:47 AM
^^ I guess DD cannot use that as an excuse anymore now that Baumann made 1st team

N&O writer Joe Giglio is saying on twitter that he expects us to play in the Belk Bowl.
12/3/2014 3:01:41 PM
It would be nice to complete the Belk Cycle (Since 2011 State, UNC, Duke, and now State again)However, if Belk wins the draw for Notre Dame I can't imagine them passing on it.
12/3/2014 7:17:50 PM
They'd probably have a choice of Duke or ND before us. That seems to look like how it works now. May be able to get the Music City Bowl again. Nashville is better than Charlotte anyway.
12/4/2014 12:31:28 PM
Music City couldn't pass on Louisville though
12/4/2014 12:37:51 PM
If Michigan State is in the Orange, Peach, Fiesta, or Cotton, Bowl, then the Citrus gets Clemson, meaning Louisville gets Russell Athletic.

Yeah, Thornton's touch numbers this year still don't make much sense to me. We utilize Dayes perfectly IMO, but Thornton should get the majority of the touches for designed run plays.
12/5/2014 7:11:32 PM
Thorton doesn't pick up protection well - has to get better at that. ^D-cords would pick up on that so quick.[Edited on December 5, 2014 at 9:32 PM. Reason : ]

I'm trying to figure out what's best for us today. There's a possbility the Big Ten gets 3 teams into the top tier bowls if Wisconsin wins, bumping up all ACC slots. If anything, we want a Wisconsin win. If the Big Ten gets the Citrus, there's a chance we get bumped down to tier 2 and have to play (sigh) ECU. [Edited on December 6, 2014 at 12:09 PM. Reason : c]
