Brandon Hogan likes to drink and drive, this much we knowthanks for bashing him on the biggest day of his life ESPN
4/30/2011 12:09:21 PM
Yay, another gamble this draft, haha. Sounds like Hogan has solid talent with some room to get better, hopefully no more off the field issues.
4/30/2011 12:30:00 PM
he said he can't run full speed until August (ACL injury)
4/30/2011 12:42:49 PM
dude from hawai'i with "aloha" in his name
4/30/2011 1:49:11 PM
Hawaii always has impressive college athletes. Hope he translates on the pro field. Without Free Agency, the Panthers have been stuck with no WR options. Here is to hoping we can make some solid moves at WR.Who are the quality veterans available for FA at WR? III
4/30/2011 1:54:02 PM
is this guy going to return kicks/punts? saw he had 700 yds rushing in his career, and he's 5'9"new steve smith?
4/30/2011 1:58:05 PM
Sal Paolantonio gets airtime in Charlotte for a Panthers report and starts by talking about the Eagles
4/30/2011 2:02:00 PM
ESPN's late round coverage is horrendousthey can't seem to stay on topic, too many idiots that don't know shit with too many opinions that don't mean dick

What's the deal with Jerry Richardson having some famous clock in his house lolhttp://www.charlotteobserver.com/2011/04/29/2261357/owner-puts-newton-on-the-clock.html
4/30/2011 3:00:29 PM
i assume he was asking some of the questions without a "right answer" in mind, just seeing what Newton would say and how he would reactbut the tattoo and piercing thing doesn't make much sense to me. it's his body, and athletes certainly like the tats. i don't see a correlation to these things and football production/character issues, unless he has THUG LIFE plastered across his chest and an AK-47 on his throwing arm.
4/30/2011 3:26:58 PM
Completely forgot we had Shockey
4/30/2011 3:32:09 PM
6'0.5" 229 lb linebacker with a 4.71 40?
4/30/2011 3:34:42 PM
maybe planning on trying him out at safety?
4/30/2011 3:55:15 PM
i thought the same thing but he's waaaaay to slowthey showed some of his clips, i will say this: the man can tackle. he drives through people, and i guess he's athletic but just doesn't have great speed. either way, he drives bitches into the ground. i keep forgetting Ron Rivera is the coach, and i'm sure he'll know what to do with Wilson.[Edited on April 30, 2011 at 4:00 PM. Reason : youtube video. i suggest muting because there is a female calling the game.]
4/30/2011 3:57:58 PM
i can't find anything about this famous Jerry Richardson clock online other than that article
4/30/2011 4:38:50 PM
haha yeah i tried to find at least a picture of it, but nada.here's a great write up on WR Pilares, released on 4/25 before the draft started obviously. the writer put in some work on this article. this is a fun read for Panthers fans:http://fantasyfootballmetrics.com/Player_News/2011/NFL%20Draft/Draft_2011_Pilares_4-19-11_1.0.htm
4/30/2011 5:01:47 PM
Richardson told Newton "you're a choir boy compared to me, a choir boy!"
4/30/2011 6:32:39 PM
just picked one of Newton's O-linemen Lee Ziemba, LT
4/30/2011 7:06:25 PM
Cam Newton w/ a couple other NFL playersJimmy Clausen being a fag]
4/30/2011 8:08:45 PM
Kickball. A great sport for hipsters and douchebags.
4/30/2011 11:20:12 PM
Seeing Cam with 34 and 89 makes me a little optimistic they'll want to stay Panthers
5/1/2011 12:17:31 AM
I think its pretty clear that Williams wants to stay, but I don't know if he will.
5/1/2011 12:43:18 AM
I remember seeing a quote from Williams from a few weeks ago basically saying whether or not he stayed depended on the QB positionObviously money will be a factor, but that picture gives me hope, and maybe Smitty will give him a shot
5/1/2011 12:48:32 AM
I don't know, but Newton's character is growing on me. Seems like everything I've seen says he has great character and is willing to learn.
5/1/2011 1:33:32 AM
Is that hat photoshopped in?
5/1/2011 9:55:26 AM
^that might be the greatest kickball hat i have ever seen
5/1/2011 10:40:30 AM
i think ive seen him in other pics wearing that chinese hat
5/1/2011 11:32:37 AM
CAM IMITATES THE PANTHERS LOGO
5/1/2011 6:49:52 PM
5/1/2011 8:05:05 PM
I would have much rather had Nate over Wilson.
5/1/2011 8:31:05 PM
Hurney never fails to amaze me with how dumb he sounds when he does press conferences. For his sake, I hope its strategic, not wanting to give away too much information. But he just comes across as having an incredibly simplistic thought process and lacking the mental acumen that other GM's use to explain why and how they drafted each player. He's just a very stupid man, and the fact that he's been running our franchise into the ground for over a decade speaks for itself.Even on top of him being an idiot, the way he speaks makes it impossible to listen to him for more than a few minutes. He has a banal monotone voice and says "uhh" more than Master P. If only he'd get cancer. If only he'd get cancer and die.[Edited on May 2, 2011 at 2:33 PM. Reason : x]
5/2/2011 2:30:38 PM
no he really IS that dumb
5/2/2011 2:40:08 PM
5/2/2011 4:25:42 PM
^^^i've always thought it was odd that he could go from beat writer to GM over timeseems like there would be so many other people that would be picked over him when he went for that first job in an NFL front office"Oh, I see you covered the Redskins while they were winning Super Bowls. You must be qualified!"[Edited on May 2, 2011 at 4:29 PM. Reason : ^tried to snag a Wesley Walls glass from Ed's in charlotte, but failed miserably]
5/2/2011 4:28:27 PM
if newton tries to take the number clausen wearing that greatly enhances the chances he's going to end up being a douchebag, not that I care about clausen though
5/2/2011 6:35:23 PM
players #'s is a strictly business thingNewton wont "take" his number but Clausen might sell it to him
5/2/2011 6:37:47 PM
Newton should arm wrestle Clausen for it
5/2/2011 6:50:36 PM
i dont know why Clausen even wants it, not like it's done him any good
5/2/2011 6:56:44 PM
someone (Tom Sorensen?) suggested that if Newton could buy the number from Clausen, Clausen should then donate the money to charity and all would be wellif Clausen is smart he would say fuck that and take the money because he may not be around much longer if last season is any indication
5/2/2011 7:02:05 PM
5/2/2011 11:51:01 PM
i said if!
5/2/2011 11:54:39 PM
so steve young said there are only about 50 throws you can look at cam newton's career to even think about what he can do on the nfl level, basically a blank slate, finally someone says my point instead of OH NO HIS DAD TRIED TO SELL HIM, like an nfl team cares about that
5/3/2011 9:39:28 PM
"a league source" claims that Smitty wants to go to Raiders or Chargershttp://bleacherreport.com/articles/692695-carolina-panthers-wide-receiver-steve-smith-could-be-headed-to-san-diegoif that is so, i would prefer the Chargers because i could root for Smith and Rivers and all would be well in the universe
5/6/2011 7:12:21 PM
I would absolutely love it if Smitty went to San Diego, and together he and Rivers won a ring next year.I'd do everything in my power to have Philip and Smith on my fantasy football team[Edited on May 6, 2011 at 7:15 PM. Reason : adsf]
5/6/2011 7:15:06 PM
oh damn chargers is the idea I had months ago, that would be awesome, they obviously need him
5/6/2011 7:40:16 PM
Lol at any player Wanting to go to the Raiders, even a left coast guy like smitty
5/6/2011 7:40:18 PM
Raiders are on the up and up
5/6/2011 8:05:55 PM
i wouldn't want smith to go to the chargers, he would probably suckerpunch rivers in the head and knock him out for 4-5 games with a concussion.
