I just hate that I can't get first available seating in a restaurant any more. I will sacrifice my health to get seated quicker.

Saw y'all standing out there smoking again last night. Still looks like fun.Disdain,DeltaBeta
3/17/2010 3:50:33 PM
its warm out now
3/17/2010 3:53:57 PM
hahahaha look at those dumbass smokers, standing outside smoking in 66 degree weather, lololol
3/17/2010 3:54:43 PM
Either way they were standing around outside, craning their necks to see inside where the game(s) were on TV.
3/17/2010 3:55:38 PM
do you work at a bar or something? i cant remember
3/17/2010 3:56:34 PM

Funny how people were going on and on about how Cup A Joe would probably have to shut down after going non smoking and that place is packed out every damn time I'm there.
3/17/2010 4:10:02 PM
I love this thread. So much hate from both sides.

So it's not cold anymore and they're not that uncomfortable out there. Last night they were standing around in the rain, though. It's gonna suck when us non-smokers want to move out to the outdoor seating area though. Maybe we can get this ban extended to all bar/restaurant property and not just the inside...[Edited on April 28, 2010 at 2:39 PM. Reason : *]

You people are still trying to figure this out? Let me break it down for you:If you don't like the heat, get out of the kitchen. If you don't like the smoke, get out of the bar.Now quit fucking using the government to try to shape society. That shit never works, son.
5/10/2010 5:13:56 PM
^Hey bud, thanks for your reply. Have fun smoking outside this summer in the sweltering humidity!
5/10/2010 5:29:34 PM
^I don't smoke. A cigarette has never touched my lips.I'm man enough to deal with my own problems instead of running and crying to the government to shelter me.
5/10/2010 5:31:13 PM
Who went crying to the government? I dealt with it and never once complained. Doesn't mean I'm not thrilled with the smoking ban!In fact, I'm about to go enjoy a few beers in a nice smoke-free environment in about 90 minutes. Can't wait!]
5/10/2010 5:33:13 PM
I've seen a lot more bars and restaurants around the Charlotte area opening new patios, or expanding additional ones.
5/10/2010 5:35:07 PM
Oh, please. You think nobody wrote Raleigh asking for the ban? That's just plain fucking dumb. Seriously. Sure maybe you didn't, but somebody did.You could have done that before the ban. I'm in SC. Later tonight i'm going to go to a nice smoke filled restaurant. Not because I like the smoke, but because i'll be enjoying the smell of free will. The owner is free to allow smoking and i'm free to not enter if I don't like it.
5/10/2010 5:36:27 PM
It's funny to me when I overhear smokers at my work (NCSU) bitching about having to be >25' away from a door to smoke, and how the state is not accommodating them, and by god, RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE.I happen to know that at least one of them is militant about this "sanctity of marriage" bullshit.[Edited on May 10, 2010 at 5:39 PM. They just announced that with the new healthcare reform there will not be enough money to run the random spot checking they planned for this ban- otherwords, a business is gonna need to rack up a shit ton of complaints for this to be investigated, and smaller local place could easily become a "speak-easy" of sorts for smokers.

I'll have to look it up when I get to a computer- I saw this several days ago (heck, someone might have even made a thread on here about it- it was either that or linked up to one of my friends FB statuses)

just curioushow many of the people who either support(ed) or favor(ed) this ban are also in favor of legalizing marijuana

I, for one, am glad they are banning exploding things from checked bags. And also from being used on planes. That shit stinks. I don't want to smell your froot loops flavored shit for 2 hours in a confined space. ]
10/29/2015 2:22:21 AM
Militant anti-smokers are fucking annoying. The whole not being allowed to smoke outside is stupid as shit. Second hand smoke is considerably less dangerous than car exhaust. If you want to smoke in your own house or if you want to open a business that allows smoking you ought to be able to do so.Smoking is fucking awful for you, it's a terrible habit, but spare me your pretend cough when you walk by some guy smoking next to his car in the parking lot.
