sweet...antonio valencia now has as many, if not more, goals as/than dimitar berbatov.....great purchase seriously on valencia, sarcastically on berba
12/15/2009 4:28:23 PM
and the great rafa benitez has guaranteed they will make the top 4...even though they have won like 1 game in the last 10 or something and are 7 points out of 4th. You can criticize his coaching, but you can never criticize his boldness.
12/15/2009 4:51:13 PM
^hahaha i will be surprised to see them finish 4th...it will take a massive turn around as the morale at that club is at a serious lowalso, http://soccernet.espn.go.com/world-cup/story/_/id/713780/ce/uk/?cc=5901&ver=usdamn right capello. force owen into more minutes with united please. in my opinion i think he can do more for scoring than berbatov right now.
12/16/2009 1:06:40 AM
haha valencia's half volley smash from berbatov's tricycle kick pass was #1 on sportscenter top 10...[Edited on December 16, 2009 at 6:55 AM. Reason : wow that actually was well hit from valencia the more i watch it]just as i go mouthin off a goal of the year candidate about every other week someone else throws up something great. i dont think this will beat maynor fig-newton's 60 yard goal from the weekend but this is one of those classic one touch passing united goals that i never get tired of seeingfinal edit haha: i was just going back lookin at some of valencia's old stuff and he celebrated after almost every goal... i know someone mentioned before why he doesnt celebrate after his goals at man utd and i didnt take much of it but now ive seen at least 5 goals now he has scored and hasnt celebrated....im kinda curious to this now[Edited on December 16, 2009 at 7:12 AM. damn looks like drogba is out today. wont get any fantasy points from him...alright torres, time to score a hat trick and somehow lose
12/16/2009 7:44:44 AM
I dunno, as poor as Liverpool have been, they're not out the race for 4th points-wise. I'm not guaranteeing it by any means, but I think it's still very possible, especially if Torres/Gerrard are fully back.as far as that Figueroa goal, it's nice and all but I hate when those are GOY because a lot of it is just being lucky to catch a keeper off his line. I rate goals like Arshavin's this past weekend way higher - off the top of my head, Drogba's against Hull opening weekend, Assou-Ekotto's against Liverpool, Fabregas against Spurs, Arshavin against Liverpool and the one against ManYoo were all better to me. I'm sure there's a lot more I'm leaving out but those are the ones that stand out to me at the moment.
12/16/2009 7:53:47 AM
idk, drogba's opening day goal was a complete fluke. he was trying to cross that. fabregas goal was good...i cant remember ekotta's. arshavin's was good this weekend, his against man utd was a complete fuck up on foster's part. shouldve been parried wide.figueroa's shot didn't really catch the keeper off his line so much as that ball was hit perfectly. the gk was in the right place. you certainly dont want him standing on the goal line when the ball is 60 yards away...that was prob the best shot ive ever seen that "chipped" a keeper. he drilled it in from 60 away. it wasnt one of those high floaters that barely get in over the keeper or bounce in cause the keeper is miles away....that shot was upper 90 too.the reason i rate man utd's goal high is it is a great team goal. 4 people played a part in that goal and each one's touch was sublime...and can you tell me the last time you saw a "bicycle"(heh) kick assist??[Edited on December 16, 2009 at 8:04 AM. 12/16/2009 8:03:40 AM
that was not a "fuck-up," Arshavin just hit the shit out of it and Foster couldn't do anything about it.whether he meant it or not, Drogba's goal was still pretty awesome, and even more awesome because of the circumstances of the game. I'll admit it's not GOY worthy, it's just one of those goals I'll remember from this seasonhere's Assou-Ekotto'shttp://www.dailymotion.com/video/xa6kor_tottenham-hotspurs-vs-liverpool-10_sportI still think Fabregas against Spurs is top though
12/16/2009 8:12:07 AM
ohh yeah i remember that one now...and i see why you definitely did
12/16/2009 8:16:46 AM
lol yep, that loss looks like it set the tone for the rest of the seasonI feel like there are some good Drogba goals I'm forgetting about... it always seems like he's scoring a great goal to me

Landon Donovan going on loan to Everton in January...
12/19/2009 1:50:46 PM
Well, that's it for Sparky. I said at the beginning of the season that he wouldn't be the one to get Citeh to UCL play, but you can't help but feel the deck was stacked against him from the start. I actually don't rate Mancini at all, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop lots more points before the season's out, since they'll have to completely overhaul their playing style.
12/19/2009 2:43:22 PM
yeah, I agree with all thatThey'll get worse before (and if) they get better
