take your profits on V before the earnings report this week, you will be glad you did
4/27/2008 10:35:19 PM
Why do you say that? Do you have some sort of crystal ball?
4/27/2008 10:41:50 PM
"buy on the rumor sell on the news"
4/27/2008 10:57:47 PM
^What stocks are you eying right now?
4/28/2008 9:43:07 AM
My only regret is that I have no more money to buy more V. I'm fully in the market.
4/28/2008 12:10:39 PM
I would be careful with Visa anyways.I wish MSFT would turn it around
4/28/2008 12:11:41 PM
When does it report earnings?
4/28/2008 12:13:01 PM
I think this afternoonBut didn't visa just become a recently traded company? I really think they're gonna become inflated and then have a huge correction.
4/28/2008 12:14:49 PM
Yeah, you're right. Not that it matters, but here are what the analysts think. 28-Apr-08 JP Morgan Initiated Overweight28-Apr-08 Piper Jaffray Initiated Neutral28-Apr-08 RBC Capital Mkts Initiated Outperform28-Apr-08 Sun Trust Rbsn Humphrey Initiated Buy28-Apr-08 Citigroup Initiated Hold28-Apr-08 UBS Initiated Buy28-Apr-08 Fox Pitt Initiated In Line
4/28/2008 12:18:27 PM
Yeah, so I mean it's smart just to stay away and let it correct itself
4/28/2008 12:30:04 PM
V is a long-term play. Corrections happen, but over the long run, V should go way up. At least that's my 2ยข.
4/28/2008 12:30:32 PM
I agree, I just think it will be cheaper in the future.making that a better time to buy in.[Edited on April 28, 2008 at 12:36 PM. Reason : ]
4/28/2008 12:35:59 PM
I'm holding mine.
4/28/2008 1:33:57 PM
I think as noted earlier Visa is def a good long term stock. I agree there would be better prices in the future to buy in.That said,Why else do you think you guys think are other long term stocks?
4/28/2008 1:57:43 PM
the thing about V is that its protected somewhat on the downside for its first 2 quarters.in general, insiders and those associated with a given IPO are usually required to hold for 6 months after the IPO date before they can sell. plus the first quarter or two post-ipo are usually ones where the company will beat earnings expectations handily in order to justify growth valuations.i think Goldman just put a $90 price target on them. i'm thinking we see 90 before we see 60
4/28/2008 1:59:23 PM
^^ IBM
4/28/2008 2:02:32 PM
Just picked up some UA - with earnings coming out before the bell and their new trainers coming out May 2...I feel good about this one.Definitely for the long term.
4/28/2008 3:41:37 PM
Looks like it beat estimates but is down.
4/28/2008 4:18:20 PM

4/28/2008 4:56:15 PM
Oh well, this is just a good chance to buy more shares.
4/28/2008 5:20:50 PM
What are you gonna buy?
4/28/2008 5:24:43 PM
Probably some more V, just need to move some money around to do so.
4/28/2008 5:27:04 PM
yeah it's dropped a bit afterhours, I may buy some, I may not.
4/28/2008 5:37:56 PM
4/28/2008 7:28:20 PM
^could not agree more.
4/28/2008 8:06:09 PM
Sucks that it's down, but still, if you had sold a week ago you'd still have sold lower than V is right now after hours.
4/28/2008 8:24:04 PM
Getting in mostly at $59, I really can't complain.
4/28/2008 8:25:39 PM
Well, Visa is actually up....and MasterCard is WAY up. $35, or almost 14% so far.

4/29/2008 3:27:29 PM
Is there a way to get streaming real-time quotes in Scottrade?I usually just click 'refresh' and yes, that's real-time. But it isn't streaming...grr...
4/29/2008 3:31:41 PM
