^^^ I thought she said October 2005.
5/2/2008 9:57:11 AM
^Okay that would make more sense then, I was just a little confused. And the whole time travel thing, I just don't really get the feeling that all of the Oceanic 6 would travel through time.
5/2/2008 10:06:42 AM
i think the oceanic 6 is generally not time traveling. Obviously Desmond has, and Ben can apparently travel through time and space at will. Several of The Others could too, like Tom, when he went to Florida to get Locke's dad. I still think that Michael did some kind of space warp to get from the island to NYC, in time for him to get contacted and get back to the freighter. Does anyone remember what the newspaper said in the flashfoward last night, at the beginning when Jack went downstairs? I thought it said "Yankees sweep Red Sox in Series". I thought that was supposed to give us a clue of when that was taking place, but the Yankees and Red Sox haven't played, at least not in the World Series since then. Maybe it was a regular-season series? Given Aaron's age, it must be sometime in 2006 or 2007.
5/2/2008 10:22:00 AM
ok, did some digging. According to http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Something_Nice_Back_Home#Flashforwardthe newspaper said:
5/2/2008 10:34:37 AM
It only gets simpler
5/2/2008 10:38:17 AM
http://lost.cubit.net/archives/2008/05/4x10-newspaper-and-date.phpthat article says it's referring to the games in August '07 - almost 3 years after the crash and 2 after Ben's stuff from last week.I'd say that pretty well implies that jack's 'we have to go back' breakdown happens in our own near future, say mid-to-late '08.[Edited on May 2, 2008 at 10:44 AM. Reason : ^^what he said]
5/2/2008 10:43:39 AM
Okay so in terms of chronological order of the flash forwards, we have:1) Ben going to Tunisia and Iraq and "recruiting" Sayid2) Hurley seeing Charley and beginning his descent into what everyone thinks is insanity3) Kate's trial4) Last night's episode5) Big time gap, Kate and Jack are broken up and Jack is a junkieand somewhere in there was the episode when Sayid was in Germany and got shot, but I don't think we had any real clues as to what the date was then.
5/2/2008 10:57:37 AM
that looks right, except you missed:0) Sun gives birth and Hurley visits Korea
5/2/2008 11:12:25 AM
i just found the timeline section on lostpedia. It has tried to place all the flashfowards into real timeframeshttp://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Timelineost-Islandall the actions from "through the looking glass" (when jack is a junkie and him and kate are broken up, and someone is dead) is in the "Unknown" category, but it obviously happens after last night's episode[Edited on May 2, 2008 at 11:19 AM. Reason : .]dammit, the link keeps putting a f'ing smiley face in the middle because of the URLjust go here - http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Timeline - then go to the Post-Island timeline[Edited on May 2, 2008 at 11:20 AM. haha never seen a smiley in a link before
5/2/2008 11:54:55 AM
the problem is crazycode automatically interprets the characters : and P as a smiley face. That is why the smiley face is appearing.

doh
5/2/2008 3:18:56 PM
That really hurts charlie! Charlie bit me!
5/3/2008 12:09:53 AM
So does this mean that Aaron is some kind of antichrist or jacks dad born again through his own bloodline?"You're not supposed to raise him, Jack"
5/6/2008 12:00:17 PM
also did anyone notice that the smoke detector went off to lure jack outside of his office before his dad appeared to him?smoke detector >>> Jacks Dad >>> smoke monster, eh??[Edited on May 6, 2008 at 12:17 PM. Reason : emphasis]
5/6/2008 12:17:32 PM
^^^^^ It was probably referring to one of the other playoff series, not the world series. The writers wouldnt make a goof like that.
5/6/2008 12:47:15 PM
we covered that - it said "series", lower-cased S, referring to a regular season series. I read somewhere where they looked at the other box-scores on the top half of the paper and beneath the red sox/yankees article, and none of the other score match up with a yankees/red sox series sweep, so there is either some purposeful misdirection, or the writers/prop-guys weren't really trying to be fully accurate. But I think it's generally agreed that the yankees/red sox sweep was from the series at the end of August 2007edit - here we gohttp://lost-and-gone-forever.blogspot.com/2008/05/something-nice-back-home-analysis.html

Is anyone else's sound bad? I know it isn't my system because the commercials sound fine.
5/8/2008 10:19:20 PM
the sound is bad and the words are cut off the screen
5/8/2008 10:22:15 PM
mallomars and that creepy dharma dude from "Suddenly Susan". The letters are running off the screen. Interesting episode.
5/8/2008 10:27:02 PM
yes, my sound is really bad. It sound like, for example, the volume on my tuner is very low and the volume on my TV is very high, but of course they're both at normal levelsI use OTA HD. The picture is a bit skippy too. I thought it was the weather
5/8/2008 10:28:38 PM
wtf!!! mmm that episode made claire HOT.
5/8/2008 11:00:35 PM
interesting episodewas jack's dad really there, or was that the smoke monster/illusion or what? hmm..
5/8/2008 11:00:53 PM
The actor that plays Jack's dad looks like he might sick in real life. He looks older than 58 (his age in real life.)
5/8/2008 11:03:36 PM
just me or did jack's dad look like that reporter from 60 minutes. Bob Simon I think?
5/8/2008 11:14:30 PM
5/8/2008 11:53:30 PM
also i think it was interesting that the doctor washed up on shore at the beach before he actually got his throat slit back on the boatshows there is definitely some type of time delay (we already knew that, though)and what about richard? He looked the same when locke was in the incubator...something creepy about that guy, he doesn't age or something....
5/9/2008 5:52:07 AM
Im on the fence about Jack's dad really being there or not.If it was the smoke monster, why would it appear to locke as Jack's dad? Does locke have some kind of connection to Jack's dad that we dont know about yet?
5/9/2008 6:56:35 AM
i think it legitimitly is christian sheppard who is there, but i don't think that he is alive.
5/9/2008 10:00:21 AM
5/9/2008 1:49:10 PM
i know that richard looked the same. i've seen every episode of lost at least 3 times. i was just saying.
5/9/2008 3:08:15 PM
5/9/2008 3:31:50 PM
5/9/2008 9:05:12 PM
so what's claire doing?
5/10/2008 12:01:11 AM
That was the most random episode of LOST I think I have seen. Its like they just threw in random shit all over the place because they had nothing else better to do. None of it had any flow.
5/10/2008 12:29:43 AM
"We've got to move the island" wtf is that shit?
5/10/2008 12:53:21 AM
My guess on moving the island is that they are going to shift the "magnetic" field around it, so it requires a different position/bearing to approach/leave the island.
5/10/2008 9:57:50 AM
^ could be something like that, but I also read an interesting idea where the island would be moved in time, not space.
5/10/2008 10:52:12 AM
wat?
5/10/2008 6:08:41 PM
5/10/2008 6:36:32 PM
i don't know how it would help, but it might help explain the doctor thing.....On the island, the doctor washes up on shore with a slit throat and stitches on his cheek. They radio the boat, and the boat says the Dr. is ok. Then later that day, they kill the doctor and throw him overboard.... It's like the island shifted into the future or something, but they are still communicating in real time with the boat
5/10/2008 6:43:49 PM
we already know that if they don't enter and leave the island at a certain bearing there is a difference in time... do we not?The doctor drifted in.. I seriously doubt he drifted in on the exact bearing. That easily explains the difference in time.On a different note: Does anyone think it's possible that Claire died in her sleep somehow? She was in that big ass explosion that demolished the house but left her seemingly unscathed, maybe she was injured internally? That could be why Christian came and got her? The asian guy sees dead people so that would explain how he saw her walk away with Christian. We believe Christian is dead (don't know if that has ever really been confirmed)... and up to this point I don't think Claire has seen dead people or any other odd things. We also know that for some reason she doesn't leave the island with Aaron... which she probably wouldn't do by choice. Also, her demeanor in the cabin was different than normal.
5/10/2008 7:15:21 PM
so, you're saying her dead body got up and walked away???
5/10/2008 8:01:14 PM
Im a fan of the theory that she is drugged up.
5/10/2008 8:14:52 PM
Some of you are starting to sound like some of the freaks on the LOST blogs with their bat crazy random off the wall theories.
5/10/2008 8:38:38 PM
5/10/2008 9:19:59 PM
christian's body disappeared too, so who knows
5/10/2008 9:56:27 PM
that's true.but there's a lot of mystery still surrounding christian. is he even real? we're not even sure yet.but claire being dead and being something akin to a zombie just seems crazy, even for Lost[Edited on May 10, 2008 at 10:06 PM. Reason : .]
