Oakland A's?
4/7/2015 12:27:50 AM
No, Astros.
4/9/2015 5:08:40 PM
The way things have started with pitching completely dominating baseball, I think we will see 6-8 no hitters this season. MLB will have to do something to shift the balance as we are in the 4 or 5th consecutive year of declining offense.
4/9/2015 5:11:56 PM
Crazy what a decent anti-steroid policy can accomplish. Baseball is fine.
4/9/2015 5:14:20 PM
hehe

lolololololand rflong says there is no offense [Edited on April 9, 2015 at 5:18 PM. Reason : a]
4/9/2015 5:17:10 PM
If baseball as fine with this dearth of offense, the new commissioner would not be already discussing ways to improve the competitive balance between pitching and hitting. I personally rather not see an assload of guys striking out every night and teams putting up stat line like 2 runs on 5 hits each night.[Edited on April 10, 2015 at 8:05 AM. Reason : hd]

Every MLB commisher says stuff like that. Nothing changes except minor things like a slightly different ball or the mound lower by an inch. The media is on a haphazard crusade to "fix" baseball so Manfred is going to spew out some bullshit he doesn't mean to appease them.
4/10/2015 9:44:44 AM
So today there are three teams that managed to get shutout on 2 hits and three other teams with just 3 hits total. Yeah I am sure this is what MLB wants to see. They tried to combative the roid era by expanding the strike zone, changing the ball, etc. It finally took a strict drug policy to end the offensive explosion, but combined with the expanded strike zone, increased game pace, and advanced defensive metrics like shifts, it is leading to an 80s style dead all era. Manfred will do something this off-season if the offense continues to suffer.
4/11/2015 11:36:20 PM
Hope not. I love small ball and good pitching.
4/11/2015 11:58:45 PM
It's not even a week into the season. Give it a little time.
4/12/2015 12:08:28 AM
They wanted faster games right? You won't even know you missed the whole 2 hours with a 1-0 game
