negative. I have to sport 215/50/15 all around on the 944, for now Ad is unaffiliated, however, I figured someone might want some tires for cheap.[Edited on January 19, 2010 at 11:01 AM. Reason : .]

good find
1/22/2010 8:18:15 AM
Damn, that Subaru is a good find (though how much does a head gasket run?). The best color too! Those tires would fit my S2000 pretty easily, though I'm sure it'd be a significant handling downgrade
1/22/2010 9:07:39 AM
zxappeal, could probably do the head gaskets for you (remember there are 2)not sure if this car needs both or notyou could probably pick that up for ~$3k if you went there with cash<3 boxer
1/22/2010 9:32:00 AM
Wonder if he'd take $500 cash and my Integra
1/22/2010 9:50:53 AM
depends on if he has a car currently or notGET IT
1/22/2010 10:05:04 AM
I'd be weary of any car that needs head gaskets unless I really felt I could trust the person on whether or not it has been allowed to overheat. That thing might have warped/cracked heads or a warped block which would easily negate any savings you might be expecting. The good thing is that as long as none of those things are messed up you'd end up with a car that has new head gaskets, new water pump/timing belt (you'd be a fool not to go ahead and do those things while everything is apart), fresh coolant, and fresh oil when you're done. Should be good to go for a long time to come after doing those updates.I bet that thing is filthy though. Look at the floor mats.[Edited on January 22, 2010 at 11:17 AM. Reason : l]

that car alone is worth 3k, with no motoreveryone wants one and ppl with one, want another, just to have 2 you can pick up a replacement SOHC long block (low mileage from junk yard) for ~$1k, with an albeit, short, warrantyput it in yourself in an afternoonsell the car for $6k or drive it
1/22/2010 11:21:07 AM
I'll inquire...

head gaskets...how.....ironic

1/22/2010 12:33:26 PM
headgasket(s).how is this not a manufacturing / part specification flaw? i'm not anti subaru. i'm just telling you i see 2.5L engines with headgasket problems on CL at an alarming rate.
1/22/2010 1:27:35 PM
im under the impression that some ppl just rev the shit out of their crapnot really needed with these cars, IMHO
1/22/2010 1:30:54 PM
you're probably right. i also search for everything under 3 grand. i'm kind of going out of my way to look for it based on my criteria. i sent him an email and will go look at it if he responds and report back.

Oh man, if that truck was black and had the roll bar behind the cab it'd be a dead ringer for Marty McFly's truck at the end of Back to the Future.Oh, and that price is ridiculous. Don on crack?

I, too, can hose down an entire vehicle with degreaser, black enamel paint, wd-40, and Armorall if that is the key to success in the automotive industry.[Edited on January 27, 2010 at 4:52 PM. Reason : l]

You guys are crazy, hondurans will pay the $5k no problem and ship that sucker back home.
1/27/2010 7:47:47 PM
That's nothing. I hear West African Kings will pay you up to $10k for it, pre-arrange shipping, and trust that you will send the difference back via wire transfer.[Edited on January 27, 2010 at 7:58 PM. Reason : .]

There has to be something wrong with that car (besides the ugly seats). Way too good of a price.
1/28/2010 8:20:28 AM
any one of those you see under 25k is gonna more than likely be a salvage title caror a D level (out of A-F scale), poorly maintained carbuyer beware
1/28/2010 8:27:58 AM
Seems like a lot of money for a 20-year-old car, even if it cost 60k new. Why is it an unbelieveable deal? A '91 911 doesn't go for that much.
1/28/2010 9:24:09 AM
depends on which 911 you are talking about
1/28/2010 10:22:21 AM
who said it was an unbelievable deal?
1/28/2010 11:05:13 AM
TKE Teg did.
1/28/2010 1:24:58 PM
No, I said it was
1/28/2010 2:40:06 PM
it does have 94k miles on it, not terrible, but definitely not collector car milesif it's a clean title with an accident on the carfax, and figuring this economy...and the seller was strapped and needing to sell badly...still should sell for more than 21 or 22kall the ones I've seen less than 20 have been salvage title
1/28/2010 2:53:41 PM
If it's that good of a deal contact the seller and, assuming everything is straight, flip it for a profit.
