SPIDER PIG SPIDER PIGDOES WHATEVER A SPIDER PIG DOESi thought it was pretty good
7/27/2007 1:46:39 AM
89% on RT. That's ridiculously awesome considering today's movies and translating a 20-22 minute program into an 87 minute deal.Is 89% about right marko et al.?
7/27/2007 3:49:53 PM
It was pretty funny. Basically just a supersized episode...it didn't change my life, but I laughed for a bit.
7/27/2007 4:12:52 PM
i liked it, but it def NEEDED MORE SPIDER PIG
7/27/2007 4:45:26 PM
i loved it. would watch again
7/27/2007 6:28:47 PM
Two thumbs up for Bart's dick.
7/27/2007 11:26:53 PM
awesome!! i was pleased with the movie
7/28/2007 1:25:46 AM
yeah my biggest irk was that they didn't do more sideplots with the other characters...it would have broken it up more during all the alaska stuff...which was getting overly sentimentalafter 20 years, i can't even take the plots of one of the family members hurting each other seriously...i don't know how often homer's betrayed the family, alienated his kids and has a falling out with margei'm more of a fan of the avant garde simpsons, like homer falling down a ravine, setting up casinos for Jebus, bart buys a warehouse, etcdid they ever say what happend to spider pig in the movie? he just kinda vanished out of the plot
7/28/2007 3:15:45 PM
for someone that had seen just about every episode of the first 6 or 7 seasons or so, and have caught very few of recent episodes, I thought it was fantasticStampy the Elephant was in it, anyone else catch that?2 thumbs up for Bart's dick, Marge's "GODDAMN" and all the anti-govt propaganda
7/28/2007 3:40:34 PM
8/10Woulda been a 9 but the trailers ruined all the jokes that appealed to me the most.
7/28/2007 4:05:30 PM
I liked it, but I wouldn't say I loved it. I prefer the small-town Simpsons to the big-world adventure Simpsons. By this, I mean that I love when they take us around Springfield, show us what is going on with other characters, etc. The episodes where they go off to some strange place on some big adventure (which are pretty numerous) tend to bore me. So, I would've liked this movie better if they had kept it closer to home and involved more subplots of other characters.
7/28/2007 5:51:38 PM
i thought it was pretty good, but i had an annoying little kid which repeated everything behind me and 2 "repeat everything or scream at the screen" people next to me.there were a few really uncharacteristic jokes which were funny, but some of the more serious parts seemed a bit overly dramatic as well. id say 8/10 is a good assessment.
7/28/2007 8:55:11 PM
the movie was better than i expected, but like everyone else i left the theater wishing there was more action from the secondary characters. still, it was clever and well done. 8/10 from me.
7/28/2007 9:04:37 PM
Yah a solid 8/10. Its fun to see them 1 notch more vulgar than usual.
7/28/2007 11:09:52 PM
7/28/2007 11:26:05 PM
At least Mr. Burns released the hounds.
7/28/2007 11:28:41 PM
I say 7/10. Still couldn't escape children at the late showing. Or the type of people who like to hoot, stomp, and holler. Or nerds.
7/28/2007 11:50:57 PM
I sat next to a young black guy who talked on his phone for about 15 minutes. I would have said something but I'm a little white guy who is easily intimidated by hostile black people.
7/29/2007 12:00:24 AM
It had its moments, but it was nothing to write home about.
7/29/2007 12:02:06 AM
^^Is that a picture of you in the military?
7/29/2007 12:03:07 AM
Just saw it at Crossroads. Had to tell some drunk bitches to "Shut the fuck up", but other than that, it was pretty cool.8.5/10
7/29/2007 12:04:55 AM
I liked the movie and laughed at most of the jokes. 8/10.The only thing that I didn't like all that much (and am actually getting tired of in the tv series) is that every episode seems to revolve around Homer being a selfish idiot whose antics put strain on the relationships with his family and friends, then at the last minute he manages to do something to redeem himself. I'm getting tired of it already. Fine, we get it; Homer is a self-centered asshole who puts his own myopic desires ahead of everything else and has the IQ of a pineapple. I would think that the people of Springfield would get the message already and just start ignoring him or something. The characters never aging is one thing, but I'm really sick of seeing the same shit over and over. I want to see some character development. Or at the very least not have the humor rely on so much random shit. In the first few seasons Homer wasn't very bright, but at best it was just a lack of common sense. He was at least trying not to be an idiot, he was just down-trodden with bad luck. But now we get random retarded crap like having him walk pigs on the ceiling. That level of randomness and slap-stick is only good for a cheap laugh, it's the more subtle humor that should be the show's bread and butter imo.[/rant]
7/29/2007 12:09:31 AM
You are about 7 years too late with than rant.
