^^ I think the ND guy would be a projected starter for us in 2024. Don’t know about the Mizzou OL. I assume the juco TE will have the chance to get lots of snaps. As far as I know Vereen is about the only TE on the roster.

I do like the McCall add. He seems to be the guy our staff wanted the most, which means they have a plan for him. Assuming he goes back to what he did in previous years at Coastal, should be a baller.

Apparently the push to bring in other QBs for conversations (Fancher, McCord) was mostly because Grayson was flirting with UCF over our original NIL offer not being big enough. I guess either we matched it or he decided he liked what we had better.

Seems like we've got every big name I've heard floated out as a big target. Not sure if that's a sign we've gotten better at knowing when to announce our key targets, if we've just figured out our place in the transfer world, or our NIL is just that well put-together. But I'm liking it for now

With our lack of any actual QB depth, we really couldn't afford to swing big and miss in the portal at QB. I think that's probably one reason why we went so hard in on McCall. He's got a history of being really good (albeit in a lesser conference) and is relatively local (from Charlotte area) so that'd probably a huge leg up on most of his other potential suitors. We weren't gonna have that advantage for any of the real big names in the portal like Uiagalelei or McCord.

Would still like to get another transfer in the QB room. Maybe a FBS guy or juco??? Or hell just go all out and land Cameron Ward.

Yes we should definitely add the guy who puts up big numbers against shitty teams and then struggles against good defenses. This is his MO both seasons as starter and coincides with UNC fading down the stretch, but don't tell that to the draft experts who think he's the second coming of football jesus.
