Also, it’s Ohio State. Picking OSU over NC State will always make sense even if they have other players ahead of him at that position. It sucks since he’s a local kid and it seemed like we had a legit shot. But at least he went out of the conference so we won’t have to face him until the CFP[Edited on June 22, 2022 at 3:56 PM. Losing a blue chip in state recruit to a powerhouse is nothing new. Don't know why anyone would be remotely surprised.Well i do know. Recruiting sites are fucking with you to drive views/clicks/subscriptions.]
6/22/2022 4:25:18 PM
Nah, I don't read recruiting sites. I just thought tOSU getting two big recruits right before him would turn him off. Evidently, though, the other two guys and him are pretty tight and want to play together as a team or something like that. That's at least what Ohio State fans are saying.
6/22/2022 5:30:59 PM
The little I have read made it sound like Rogers to OSU was basically a done deal a few months ago. But there was optimism that State had gained ground recently and, like you said, that OSU getting commits from higher ranked WRs might have him cooling on OSU (or OSU cooling on him). Apparently that wasn’t the case. There was also something about him trying to visit OSU last weekend but his flight was cancelled so he came to State instead. Which people maybe tried to spin as a positive for State.

Dexter Lawrence was here like every weekendShipley while family were state fans/gradsAfter Lawrence I only mildly got my hopes up for Shipley, after Shipley never again. I'll get my hopes up when they sign that LOI

Top 20 recruiting class coming after our top 10 finish this year???
6/25/2022 8:21:47 AM
Only finishing top 10 would be disappointing. Merely a top 10 finish with no hardware should have Doeren on the hot seat.
6/25/2022 8:41:41 PM
2023 4* RB Daylan Smothers (West Charlotte) is down to us, Bama, FSU, and Oklahoma. Doubt we'll get any further than that but it's at least cool to be mentioned in the same breath as them.
6/28/2022 8:21:07 AM
One of those teams definitely doesn’t belong. One of those teams has 4 straight losing seasons. Meanwhile 3 of those teams are contending for a conference title or better this season.
6/28/2022 10:43:21 AM
Fair enough, but despite that FSU continuously rakes in better classes than us and generates more national interest
6/29/2022 7:41:34 AM
I was 100% kidding. State is the one that sticks out for sure

Tamarcus Cooley (3* Athlete, future DB I think) is “fully committed”. Which sounds really promising. Didn’t put a number on it but could a number even really represent the totality of “fully committed”??Daemon Fagan (4* DB) is 1000% committed. Pretty good.
7/4/2022 6:43:53 PM
Just saw that guy was 1000% committed. Nice to get our first solid commit

Very good. Hope we can hang onto Kyron Jones. UGa is recruiting him as a DB. So this is good insurance if he flips. Maybe we can hang onto both.
11/29/2022 12:52:13 PM
I agree that the higher rated recruit is good insurance if the lower rated guy flips]
11/29/2022 1:37:13 PM
LOL. Tbh i didn’t know who was rated higher. To be fair, I didn’t mean this guy was a good back up plan to Jones. I meant it’s good to get another RB in the class especially since Jones is being recruited by other schools. [Edited on November 29, 2022 at 1:45 PM. Reason : H]

NCSU NIL paying minimum of 25k to football players in 2023.
11/29/2022 3:38:00 PM
I keep seeing that like it's something to be proud of, when i really don't think it's all that impressive
11/29/2022 3:58:04 PM
^genuine question, what’s unimpressive about it? Unimpressive relative to other NIL deals at other schools? Unimpressive relative to what some of the better players are worth in an open market? Unimpressive relative to the revenue generated by the players? I’m impressed our boosters were able to fund that. I don’t really know how it compares to other NIL collectives.[Edited on November 29, 2022 at 4:12 PM. Reason : A]
