Are you questioning the validity of my recruiting rankings???
3/4/2022 11:19:02 AM
This is why Justin rankings aren't part of DMS consensus
3/4/2022 12:24:29 PM
I would like to take this time to give a shout-out to the guy who created on3. He is the same guy who started both rivals and 247. The dude has just made a living out of starting recruiting sites, selling them to the highest bidder and then starting a new one claiming it will be much better and different than the previous one when they're all actually the same exact goddamn thing. This is an amazing grift.]

^^^ yes I am^along those lines, at some point there has to be an over saturation of paid recruiting sites, right? Rivals, 247, On3…I’m sure there are others. I always wonder how so many NC State paid subscription sites can be self sustaining. There’s the State Rivals site, PackPride has a premium section, The Wolfpacker (On3), Inside Pack Sports, and then of course there’s tons of people shelling out $25/year to keep TWW running. I know Inside Pack Sports is independent so that’s different (though I don’t see how that site generates enough money to actually pay multiple writers or whatever their job title is). I’ve never really understood the business model for those bigger companies. Is ad revenue and subscription fees really enough to pay 2-3, or more, writers for each P5 site? Or do most of the writers for these sites have other jobs too? I’m sure it’s all subsidized by the bigger programs…Alabama probably has way more 247 subscribers than State. So the money from the bigger sites helps support the smaller ones. I know recruiting is a big business. I’m just surprised that there can be this many recruiting services and they all remain viable.

I think you're underestimating how many dumb old white guys there are who want to think that they're "insiders"
3/4/2022 3:28:12 PM
That’s always a fair bet. Never underestimate how many dumb white guys there are.
3/4/2022 3:57:23 PM
Why are you calling me dumb??

I’m assuming the mainstream services haven’t ranked him. So probably a PWO. But with that level of commitment, he’s sky rocketing up the DMS rankings.

Our first 4-star commit in the '23 class. TE Javonte Vereen out of Havelock
4/1/2022 2:32:49 PM
He’s listed as a TE, but I think that’s a TE/HB/JaySam position in our offense. He’s a 4* by the 247 composite. Picked us over UL and MD. Unsure of just how strongly he’s committed and whether or not we should respect his decision.[Edited on April 1, 2022 at 2:35 PM. Reason : J]
4/1/2022 2:34:40 PM
i worry if they don't say they're 1000% committed
4/1/2022 2:38:27 PM
If someone is only 100% committed then that just feels like giant red flag
4/1/2022 2:41:12 PM
What if we don't respect POSITIVE decisions are we still in trouble? What his consensus star rating?
4/1/2022 3:33:54 PM
If he didn’t specifically request that you respect his decision, then it’s fine to not respect it. In fact, any commit that’s less than 1000% committed will not get my respect. For the DMS consensus, I’m still evaluating. Once i have his commitment level % I’ll be able to accurately project a ranking.
4/1/2022 3:46:37 PM
according to my expert rankings, he's a 16-star recruit
4/1/2022 5:59:06 PM
Out of how many?
4/1/2022 6:21:54 PM
irrelevant
4/1/2022 7:16:32 PM
OT Sam Pendleton is a 4*, top 250 guy and has set a decision date for 4/25. Final 4 of State, ND, UF, Michigan. Would be a really good get but that looks like stiff competition

You know what, no! i do all this hard work to ensure tww gets ALL the latest recruiting news hot off the presses, I feel like I deserve some leeway!! Brandon Cisse DB committed. Unimpressive offer list but apparently had a great camp recently so we offered. He tweeted that he’s 110% committed which needs a couple more zeroes imo.
6/14/2022 7:58:13 PM
Oh no only 110%He's as good as gone
6/14/2022 11:55:18 PM
6/15/2022 2:11:21 PM
good shit.
6/15/2022 2:53:58 PM
The secondary feels like a position of strength (we’re loaded, every position is one of strength for this juggernaut team). With P5 experience im sure he’ll help with depth. I know we’re tight on scholarships but why is he walking on…did he not have offers elsewhere? Is he not actually any good? Does he just want to join a winner and get a ring?
6/16/2022 6:06:16 AM
I think it's a matter of, he knows Gibson, he got buried at Auburn and didn't have any other new offers after that, it's a thing both feel can work out mutually and if shows out during summer could get a walk on 'ship or something. I think this is a grad transfer for him so he may just want one more year in college.
6/16/2022 8:28:44 AM
Give someone enough NIL, the scholarship is just extra!!I joke, but if someone got like $1mil NIL they could just pay their own way and save the team a scholarship? I'm prob missing something obvious
6/16/2022 9:03:54 AM
Yeah, people have been theorizing that that'll happen. I know some company gave every BYU walk-on an NIL deal, but haven't heard the amount. I think the window for that to happen is closing, though, as dozens of coaches now are kinda realizing how much of a bad thing this 1-year wild west has been
6/16/2022 9:26:07 AM
3* DL Isaiah Shirley commits. His tweet did not mention a commitment percentage
6/21/2022 3:14:40 PM
^^,^^^I think there are rules about being eligible to be walk-on after being recruited but I'm too lazy to look them up. Like i don't think you are allowed to walk on after taking an official visit to that school or something. I seem to remember that but i might be completely wrong or the rules may have changed. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
6/21/2022 3:47:55 PM
^^ BUT he had 3 exclamation marks. His excitement is high
6/21/2022 3:56:22 PM
Three exclamation marks is like 40% committed according to the patented justinh524 conversion formula
6/21/2022 6:57:47 PM
He’s as good as gone
6/21/2022 7:01:33 PM
Longsnapper Aiden Arias is 1000% committed. 0 exclamation points though.
6/21/2022 9:05:05 PM
Absolutely wild to me. Noah Rogers committing to Ohio state. After they already have to recruits ahead of him in this year's class alone. Hope he can find a way to playing time with them
6/22/2022 2:51:57 PM
I think the state recruiting sites pay those types of guys to keep us on their list so we can get our hopes up and keep checking in status. Pipe dreams.I've seen that "two recruits over", if you're that level you absolutely think you can beat out those other guys.
