(not NC State)

he's getting 1.2 mil+ from barstool NIL would Deon works with. this is the new bag of cash
12/15/2021 2:44:06 PM
And people thought NIL meant that the rich would get richer. Cool to see a top guy go to a non-traditional team. Along those lines, Quinn Ewers was originally a class of 2022 guy committed to Texas. Decommitted, reclassified and then committed to OSU and got some big NIL money. Now he’s transferring to Texas. Which is just kinda hilarious to me. And makes me wonder if the Jackson State player plans to collect his money, play a season and then move on. (Who could blame him if he does)

Also signed two little brothers in this class. DT Davin Vann and WR Micah Crowell's little brothers both play on the opposite side of the ball as their big brothers (C & DB).Extremely small class mainly because of the free covid year. All those people coming back means less spots for freshmen.
12/15/2021 3:26:39 PM
I hear UNC next season will be preseason #13......in the NFLToo good for college rankings
12/15/2021 3:26:47 PM
Seems like a good, solid class. It’s small but that’s because we don’t have extra scholarships. Because it’s smaller it might not rank all that highly. But the top end talent seems maybe roughly in line with other recent DD classes. I would think this year’s success on the field might translate more to recruiting the 2023 class. Hopefully, anyways.
12/15/2021 6:44:08 PM
2023 is still gonna be small, unless a bunch of people leave.
12/15/2021 7:46:31 PM
Yeah, still probably gonna be a small class. I just meant that a good season usually won’t translate to recruiting success until the following year. We might be able to get some higher ranked guys in for visits and be in on some guys we wouldn’t otherwise be in on. Not saying it’ll be an elite class. Just that we might be able to go after a few bigger fish.
12/15/2021 7:54:56 PM
Dave ripped the NCAA of their mismanagement of the super class, and how transfers and high school SR don't have anywhere to go due to limits being put back into place this year.
12/16/2021 7:36:55 AM
Yup. Seems justified. NCAA decision to give them all an extra year without any relief on scholarship limits for the schools was short sighted for sure.

Heard Mack brown say there are 800 players in the Xfer portal and only 13 have landed on teams.major fuckups.
12/16/2021 2:35:06 PM
I don't know where that 13 number came from but it's incredibly wrong.
12/16/2021 3:30:12 PM
well Mack is pretty old.
12/17/2021 8:25:46 AM
Also, some guys are just now announcing that they’re entering the portal. So it’s not uncommon for their decisions to not be made. But, there a lot of guys in the portal. And there may not be enough landing spots (at their desired level) especially with limited roster spots at a lotta schools.
12/17/2021 8:59:03 AM
There are a literal shit ton of guys who have committed to new schools already. Hell, South Florida already has 11 guys transferring into their program. If 13 was the correct number that would mean only those guys, Spencer Rattler and Quinn Ewers had committed to new schools. Obviously that is not true.
12/17/2021 2:46:41 PM
I actually think the 13 number is right. It’s Mack’s word vs Justin’s word. Idk.

An update on RB commit Bennett Galloway. No idea what his status is in terms of his commitment or the team’s willingness to take him at this point. But the incident was with a 13 year old. He pleaded guilty. Not good! https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/college/article257481414.html
1/19/2022 6:15:14 PM
Pretty safe bet to say he's never playing a down of football in a state uniform.Honestly would be surprised if he could even get admitted to the university. Also, fuck this piece of shit attorney

Is this kid the first real player controversy Doeren has had, recruiting or otherwise? I can't think of anything else atm
1/20/2022 7:06:28 AM
There’s been a few guys kicked off the team I seem to remember. Was it Sharach Thornton with the scooter incident? And Payton Wilson was arrested his freshmen year I think. I seem to remember a few freshmen back in 2017 or 2016 get kicked off the team prior to the year but don’t remember names or details. But any of that stuff definitely pales in comparison to the Galloway situation.
1/20/2022 7:58:53 AM
Yeah Shadrach Thornton did have the scooter incident, but TOB recruited him (freshman in 2012), so I'm not sure I'd count it against Dave. You are right about Payton though, 2019 arrested for having a fake ID, underage drinking, and resisting arrest ... forgot about that one.Looks like in 2017 Antoine Thompson and Kevince Brown were kicked off for sexual allegations and 3 others (Isaiah Moore, Erin Colins and Xavier Lyas) were suspended for a game. I don't remember ever hearing that one, though I'm not sure how I missed it.
1/20/2022 11:32:41 AM
The Brown/Thompson incident is what I was thinking of but couldn’t recall details. I just remember their names from recruiting and then they were kicked off the team…I think before the season ever started. But yeah over the course 9+ years, off the field incidents have been fairly limited.
1/20/2022 11:37:56 AM
Didn't we also have to suspend a bunch of players one year for the first game after an airsoft or BB gun incident in a parking deck? Or was that during TOB time?

How did he earn it? Clearly not on the field since football done been over. Daggum.
1/26/2022 4:04:53 PM
Signing with the Pack earned him a bump. Classic recruiting site tactic. A player signs with a big name school like NC State and he’s gonna move up the rankings.

DL Aiden Hollingsworth committed to State as preferred walk on.
2/2/2022 12:28:25 PM
Lol this kid had a "signing ceremony" today. Buddy, you don't sign anything as a walk-on. Like, there's no official "preferred walk-on" form to sign. Hell, unless he applied early-action, he won't even know if he got in to the university until March.
2/2/2022 12:38:42 PM
^ this is peak boomer take. Let the kid have fun
2/2/2022 2:23:03 PM
It's just weird to me. Like i had friends who were walk-ons on the football team when i was in school, including a "preferred walk-on". They didn't have signing ceremonies and pick hats from schools. This kid is gonna get a rude awakening when he gets his ass beat in practice every day only to never see the field in a game or be on the travel squad. The guy has multiple offers to walk-on because he's big, not because he's particularly good. Teams need practice bodies and finding guys who are big enough to not just get destroyed by 1st and 2nd string OL/DL isn't easy. ]
2/2/2022 3:26:09 PM
ok boomer
2/2/2022 3:54:52 PM
Look at Justin bragging about having friends in college like we didn't. I totally had friends in college you can't prove I didn't.
2/2/2022 4:14:39 PM
I’ll preface this by saying that I have no idea who Hollingsworth is and he might be total ass. But. Scholarships across most of CFB are at a premium this year due to the extra Covid year of eligibility. It’s why we took like 13 dudes in this class. I’m not saying Hollingsworth is worthy of a P5 scholarship. But I think there’s definitely cases of guys that would normally get offers, not getting offers this year due to scholarship crunch.

https://www.on3.com/db/darion-rivers-150422/4* OT Darion Rivers
3/3/2022 11:46:42 PM
Oh hell yeah. Keep that Rivers family pipeline going!
3/4/2022 6:48:48 AM
The different recruiting sites are all over the place on Rivers. On3 calls him a consensus 4* with interest from Clemson, but looks like he’s only been offered by State and Liberty. And On3 has him ranked 10th in the state. Rivals has him as a 3*, ranked 15 in the state. Rivals also lists an offer from Duke and interest from Penn State among others. 247 has him unranked and doesn’t list any offers besides State. Odd for On3 to call him a consensus 4* when they seem to be the only service rating him as 4*. He’s 6’7” (on rivals, but only 6’6” on On3) and has played basketball but is now focusing on football primarily. Seems like he’s a bit of a project…has the frame to grow into a OT but may be a bit raw. My disclaimer is that I know nothing about scouting or evaluating talent.[Edited on March 4, 2022 at 8:30 AM. 3/4/2022 8:26:48 AM
Every single site that on3 recognizes as validate recruiting opinions has him 4*, consensus
3/4/2022 8:54:42 AM
The DMS ratings actually have him as a 5*.

I'll take a project. We seem to be pretty good at turning these kids into stars.
3/4/2022 9:25:50 AM

I have him rated as 47 star prospect. Should definitely help out our average star rating.
3/4/2022 10:43:57 AM
I was being serious with my 5* comment. But posts like that from Justin only serve to dilute the quality of the content on this site. Nobody will ever take tww seriously because of stuff like that.
