Remote or not, the production quality (camera saturation, mic blunders, etc) plus disinterested and semi-coherent announcers was bad. Flipping from the Louisville-Miami game to ours was a straight-up culture shock

Allen wasn't terrible, Houston IMO wasn't a big loss, not sure where either of these backs are gonna go. its not like Sumo-Karngbaye has gotten many opportunities at Kentucky.

I mean our RB position group recruiting has been awful since Kitchings left. The Tim Beck era didn't really do any favors for that. Also we had a career QB coach running that room until this year, so hopefully Roper going back to qb coach will change things for the better, probably too soon to tell

I'd forgotten about the whole Kurt Roper thing. Brought him in as a QB coach and everything back in 2019. Was part of the deal to get Tim Beck to come here, or was he demoted for the McKay/Hockman/Leary debacle?

So I understand MK's reason for quitting, because playing another game would burn his redshirt and probably cost him $$ down the line (isn't going to the NFL so looking to maximize earnings).

But what is the reasoning for Allen? Just avoiding an injury in the final two games of the season so his bag isn't impacted for next year?
