I am a fan of this pick

So this guy is basically Steve Smith except he doesn't assault his teammates? I'm down with that.
4/26/2018 10:57:49 PM
We seem to have a lot of short, pretty fast receivers.. Curtis Samuel, Torrey Smith, Moore.. Don't really get it.
4/26/2018 11:54:49 PM
^that's the system we are trying to move to. When they got rid of Kelvin Benjamin, we were trying to get faster. I think that fits cam's inability to throw accurate passes (the shorter the better) downfield. IMO we are going to focus on fast receivers, we also need to make sure they can block their position too.

So if we're assuming Funchess and Smith outside and Samuel in the slot....where does Moore slot in? Figured it was going to be Moore, Jackson, or Hernandez, so not a shocker. Really was hoping Alexander would fall to us but knew it was a long shot.

^^samuel is recovering from a broken ankle, so i don't know what his timeline is for that...but with his injury and only catching 15 passes last year, i don't know how confident they are that he's gonna be the definite slot guy. and torrey smith seems more like a short term solution. so there's plenty of room for a guy like Moore to develop and fit into the WR group.samuel was a 2nd round pick and just a rookie last year, so i don't mean to just write him off by any means. he just hasn't proven much yet[Edited on April 27, 2018 at 9:15 AM. 4/27/2018 9:13:16 AM
Yeah, plus Moore is better than Samuel.]

There are tons of RBs in this draft. And Chubb will definitely slip because of his injury history.I have complete faith that Hurney drafted the right guy in the first round. I'm just waiting for the epic disaster that will be the rest of his draft, if history is any indication.
4/27/2018 10:45:00 AM
Much rather have guice than chubb
4/27/2018 10:48:45 AM
I'd love Chubb if he is there. He averages like 4.6 rushing yards after contact and is just as fast as Guice and Michel[Edited on April 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Reason : and Sony Michel]
4/27/2018 10:56:53 AM
Chubb's body shape and style reminds me of a 2018 Stephen Davis. I highly doubt he's there when we pick today though...
4/27/2018 11:15:49 AM
not a fan of Guice. Chubb has sneaky explosive speed. That Rose Bowl game, shoooo[Edited on April 27, 2018 at 12:00 PM. Reason : .]
4/27/2018 11:59:49 AM
Yeah, Chubb is arguably the most talented back in the draft.Guice seems like a little bit of a headcase.
4/27/2018 12:29:53 PM
Well, Chubb is going to Clevelandand here's our new guy
4/27/2018 7:28:03 PM
woo, muh Vawls
4/27/2018 10:16:52 PM
Hurney is in his element
4/27/2018 11:09:28 PM
So what else do we need? OL (Richardson??), DL, LB, RB, backup QB, TE..
4/28/2018 10:17:30 AM
probably a pipe dream, but would love to see us get Samuels or Dayeslooks like we need a left guard though[Edited on April 28, 2018 at 10:21 AM. Reason : .]
4/28/2018 10:21:37 AM
Hines probably what you mean, right?Could take a Tony Adams if it's a G we need, next round maybe.. [Edited on April 28, 2018 at 10:26 AM. Reason : ~]
4/28/2018 10:24:43 AM
oh yeah, Hines
4/28/2018 10:28:01 AM
Might could get Dayes since Cleveland now has Chubb, Hyde and Duke Johnson.
4/28/2018 11:18:56 AM
just moved up to take Greg Hardy 2.0 (a DE from Ole Miss)
4/28/2018 1:50:29 PM
Oh cool, a midget linebacker.
4/28/2018 4:15:23 PM

signed CJ Anderson to a 1 year deal
5/7/2018 4:11:47 PM
sounds good to me
5/7/2018 4:13:27 PM
Made too much sense for both parties.
5/8/2018 1:17:25 PM
oh we back
5/8/2018 4:52:24 PM
Mark Ingram suspended for 4 games for PEDs
5/8/2018 4:54:07 PM
On paper this is easily the fastest and most talented we've been across the offense since at least Cam's rookie year. Poor offensive line play could still ruin the whole thing but Moton looked good in game action last year and I think he'll fill in nicely for Norwell. They'll need to be because the defense doesn't have pass rush or coverage so expect us to be in a lot of shoot outs. Best we can hope for is the offense keeps us above water while the defense is figuring it out. Honestly Hurney did a decent job and would have been better if not for unforeseen circumstances (Breeland). I think his draft will mostly suck outside of Moore, but that's ok because there's no long term damage and we have enough talent to compete in '18.
5/8/2018 5:11:17 PM
^^the Panthers traded for Mark Ingram???
5/8/2018 5:29:33 PM
5/8/2018 7:02:20 PM
Yeah I know we'll have good push up the middle and the linebackers are all good blitzers, but we've been missing that consistent pressure from our front four probably since Marcus Cannon leg whipped CJ in 2013 and took away whatever explosiveness he had left. Then the whole Hardy thing went down and we haven't had great production from DEs since, which is needed for the front four to get to the QB on their own. Peppers is 39 coming off surgery and Addison is not a 3 down end. The entire group is basically rotational players and some very raw potential. Maybe we'll see Butler or Short rotated out to end more, we have so much depth and talent on the intererior that the coaches should definitely find ways to get them all on the field at the same time.On the bright side, looks like we got a solid new owner.

5/15/2018 10:58:25 AM
Is this guy going to sabatoge the Panthers in order to ensure more success within the Shittsburgh Steelers?
5/15/2018 12:23:35 PM
Looks like there isn't much preventing him from moving the Panthers after a few years. So doubt he tries to tank the team, but I do see a shift of direction coming. He basically says he wants to run the organization like the Steelers, so more penny-pinching on extending stars, not getting in bidding wars for FAs, and building through the draft.
5/15/2018 1:40:18 PM
Lol at moving the team
5/15/2018 1:49:36 PM
5/15/2018 1:50:02 PM
^^^big change in direction
5/15/2018 1:55:03 PM
^It really is. No more paying large amounts of money to guys like Thomas Davis or Trai Turner to keep them around, no more picking up FAs like Matt Kalil or Dontari Poe to fill gaps, and much more emphasis on building through the draft but not giving big extensions to your stars you develop. Will be interesting to see what we do with Funchess and Williams after this year.
5/15/2018 2:39:56 PM
so where are you coming up with all of this?
5/15/2018 2:47:52 PM
5/15/2018 3:09:11 PM
5/16/2018 8:16:54 AM
and somehow you equate that to not extending Trai Turner or signing Dontari Poe?
