He's like the most earnest, unassuming dude to ever pick up a basketball, and the results are extraordinary. I don't know if there's anything that he needs to actually verbalize--his play speaks for itself.

TJ is the RW of basketball
3/18/2014 8:32:01 PM
Guy is a legend. With a better supporting cast this season would be talked about with the greatest ever in the ACC.

I love TJ like I haven't loved a state bball player in a long time. BUT...He has GOT to watch the ticky-tacky fouls. He seems to get frustrated when he misses a shot and goes for cheapies. He almost got a few in the first half that would have killed us.Clean that up TJ ... you're too good for that crap.

3/19/2014 12:44:44 AM
I think he does get frustrated sometimes and reach in, but it's fairly rareI mean, I think that's one of his few weaknesses. Reach in fouls.[Edited on March 19, 2014 at 12:46 AM. Reason : .]
3/19/2014 12:45:42 AM
^^ disagree too. warren seems to have mastered his mid-ranged floater with coverage[Edited on March 19, 2014 at 12:46 AM. Reason : .]
3/19/2014 12:45:57 AM
His reach ins causes a lot of steals for his #Buckets. Its a part of his game we've got to accept.
3/19/2014 12:48:39 AM
TJ is meek, like a man named Jesus.
3/19/2014 12:53:59 AM
3/19/2014 12:56:03 AM
he absolutely is guilty of a few dumb reach-in fouls per game, sometimes after a missed shotthat doesn't take away from his greatness, but to pretend like he doesn't is absurdand most of his steals come from getting his hand into the passing lane, not reaching in
3/19/2014 1:00:00 AM
^exactly. Most of his dumb ones come in the backcourt after the other team gets the rebound. Even if TJ gets a clean steal, the ref is almost always going to call a foul there. Just too much risk and very little reward.
3/19/2014 1:07:40 AM
3/19/2014 1:09:30 AM
He averages like 2.5 fouls per gamedumb argument though. cause we won!
3/19/2014 1:13:38 AM
Fuck that happy shit. This is the TJ Warren Appreciation Thread. If you're gonna be a cunt, you need to get the fuck out.
3/19/2014 1:15:38 AM
^^^ he gets called for them, so yesand he also gets away with them
3/19/2014 1:22:43 AM
Your tone isn't nearly as awful as the one that Maverick1024 has taken. However, I'm still gonna have to ask you to move along. I'm sure you understand.

TJ gone.. and fadingEverything. .And all that could have been Please go pro. Take this and run far awayFar as you can seeWe are taintedAnd happiness and winningWere never meant for usAll these lossesEmpty promises and left behindsIf only you could seeWe are nothing. Many promising young souls were lost trying to save this sinkin ship . Go forth and don't look backk into the abyss of the Wolfpack Nation. Such a shame to waste such a great talent. RIP.

3/19/2014 10:05:41 AM
^^^^^ hahaha, bronco. Tj with the most points in a single season in State history...and he missed that MD game. Wow. He dropped 25 last night and he struggled in the first half as much as I've seen him struggle all season. He's an incredible talent.
3/19/2014 10:13:00 AM
3/19/2014 10:16:30 AM
I agree that TJ at times makes foolish swipes at the ball, mostly when the opposing team gets a defensive rebound. But that is a minor flaw, and if it keeps him playing aggressive all game then I'll take a foul or two from that. If some one told me I could have either Hodge or TJ for a single season in their prime, I would take TJ right now.
3/19/2014 10:43:05 AM
3/19/2014 11:00:50 AM
Like people have said, it's part of his game, and the refs seems to let him to get away with a little extra contact a lot of the time. Especially when his jumper wasn't falling early yesterday, getting some cheap points off a steal gets him going. You can't tell him to stop, anymore than you can tell a mobile QB to just stay in the pocket.
3/19/2014 11:02:55 AM
That goes back to the douche Jeff Goodman. Back before last season even started he was observing our practices and he tweeted shit about Warren's demeanor suggesting he won't be happy taking a backseat to our returning starters. Turns out, he should have been saying that about Purvis and not Warren.Goodman is a dickbag.
3/19/2014 11:51:14 AM
^ yes he is. he's the worst.--Hodge on Warren's historical season: http://www.theacc.com/#!/video-detail/lxZGY5bDpoOg8WJ1U-22932UyEcupvsc
3/19/2014 12:41:36 PM
Julius Hodge is so awesome
3/19/2014 12:45:28 PM
I spent 45 minutes drafting, redrafting, and deleting hate mail for Jeff Goodman. Warren was likely more mature at 12 years-old than Goodman is now. And it bothers me a great deal that he feels comfortable even having an opinion about TJ.And I can't wait to get home to watch the Hodge video.
3/19/2014 1:38:35 PM
has it been mentioned that Warren overtook DT last night in most points in a season (838 vs. 843 and counting)
3/19/2014 3:09:08 PM
BTW, all those videos on theacc.com are on YouTube in case you have trouble with the acc.com videos
3/19/2014 3:15:02 PM
^^Yeah, hard to really compare the 2 since Warren did it in several more games(6 more games to break it). Thompson averaged 5.1 more points per game that season than TJ did this season.
3/19/2014 3:22:13 PM
^true. regardless, warren now holds the record for most points in a season.
3/19/2014 3:26:24 PM
We'll never know who's better, Warren or Thompson.TWW and Twitter did not exist during those days. Apples and oranges.
3/19/2014 3:40:08 PM
I love watching TJ play and he's for sure going down as one our best players. At least based on one season. But he's no DT. the cheese DT stands alone.
3/19/2014 4:54:52 PM
yea DT didn't have a 3-pt line either. and wasn't able to dunk.[Edited on March 19, 2014 at 5:00 PM. Reason : <3 TJ though]
3/19/2014 5:00:08 PM
competition was also higher in the 70'swhich doesn't mean Warren isn't a ridiculously great scorer, it's just that David Thompson is in a class of his own
3/19/2014 5:06:57 PM
all this this is true (and no shot clock. and freshman didn't play on the varsity team.... and all non-shooting fouls were one-and-one, no double bonus? (i don't know if that's right))i was just pointing out that TJ now holds the record.[Edited on March 19, 2014 at 5:11 PM. Reason : ]

he was obviously gimpy last night from the duke injury but he adjusted mid game and figured out how to go get buckets anyway. if he ever figures out how to shoot the 3 he will score 20 somehting per night in the nba
