Is it possible that either TDT or TBDV go from a "who the hell is this guy" to a solid contributer, in one season, a la Clint Chapman this year?
5/2/2012 1:01:50 PM
^^yep, see our 3rd game, the princeton game. 11 points and the buzzer beater to win the game.
5/2/2012 1:04:07 PM
i guess i didn't watch him much early on but i felt like he took a lot of shots he couldn't make early on and then he started making them. And his defense became solid without giving up stupid fouls. I dunno... it got to a point where i wasn't upset when howell got in foul trouble as long as we took him out of the game
5/2/2012 1:04:37 PM
5/2/2012 1:05:56 PM
i remember him making it around 43% of the time.i also remember numerous times when cjl or howell had to sit and we went on runs with painter i the game.
5/2/2012 1:15:38 PM
^ towards the end of the season. I'm just saying that he started out kind of shitty but finished up strong with the second half of league play.

This is what's bothering me

Yes, he was a solid back up, definitely a stater on many other teams.Yes, he will be missed alot
5/2/2012 1:28:41 PM
lol @ Jaquan Raymond talking about playing against Tyler Harris in the NBA.

5/2/2012 1:35:57 PM
anyone who addresses the issue of guarding "centers" in college basketball need to stop and think for a second. this is an issue like twice/year.
5/2/2012 1:40:25 PM
there were probably several guys on most teams we played that were too big/athletic for harris to guard.
5/2/2012 1:43:01 PM
5/2/2012 1:51:07 PM
5/2/2012 2:03:05 PM
^ Then what the fuck are you arguing about? Harris (since Raymond was already gone) was probably the least important player we had going into next year.
5/2/2012 2:07:15 PM
5/2/2012 2:10:31 PM
^^ that to say "harris is a 4 not a 5, thus he doesn't help us" is stupid. we need all the frontline depth we can get right now. we don't have a single 5 on the fucking team, and we didn't even w/ painter.

Vandy is solely a 5. And both Howell and CJL are adequately able to guard the 5 (or the biggest, strongest guys on the other team).
5/2/2012 2:16:42 PM
right, TBDV. i expect huge things from him...and what's your point about howell and leslie? they're forwards that can guard other forwards, great. we need more forwards. harris is a forward. i really don't see where you're going w/ this.

5/2/2012 2:21:14 PM
i've learned a lot from this thread recently...that Harris is leaving...that...i guess thats it
5/2/2012 2:21:42 PM
^^^^^^Now you may have learned something.
5/2/2012 2:21:44 PM
is he transferring here, or are you throwing him out as a possibility to transfer here for his final season
5/2/2012 2:25:30 PM
I said "may" have learned something, but he apparently would be eligible right away.6'8 23010pts 7rbs a game last year. Like Alex, worth a shot considering our excess rides.

Law degrees count the same as any other post-grad work. If you go to a school that offers a program your previous school doesn't have, you don't have to sit. Jesus Christ.
5/2/2012 2:32:20 PM
Gott can make make anything happen, even a law school.
5/2/2012 2:32:47 PM
I'm disappointed he left, but not nearly as disapointed as painter. I thought harris would be a big contributor by his junior or senior year. I wasn't expecting much from him next year, although he might have been called on if we have an injury. Hopefully we won't have an injury, and he can be replaced this year or in 2013.

We're on another subject now, we need more Dawgs.
5/2/2012 2:50:59 PM
I swear to god its like I’m talking to a brick wall sometimes. Most players don’t care what program they go into because all they care about is playing basketball for one more year. These guys aren’t going pro, at least not domestically, so this is their last shot. The field of study isn’t as important as the opportunity. But when you see a guy pursuing a law degree, its evident he has higher aspirations than the Parks and Rec or African American studies degrees most of these kids go for. Thumbs up to the kid for caring about his future, thumbs down to you for once again failing to grasp even the basic outline of an argument.
5/2/2012 2:52:15 PM
His only point was if he's serious, he's not coming here. (like the rumor says)
5/2/2012 2:56:23 PM
This is an NC State thread you idiot. Someone mentioned him coming to State...we don't have a fucking law school and he wants to get a law degree. That's what my initial comment was about. Good contribution to the thread on NC State Basketball, Slave.
5/2/2012 2:57:28 PM
The way you bolded the text and then your incredulous follow up led me to believe you didn't understand the basic tenants of the graduate transfer program. Given your track record, you can't really blame me.
