i'll give you a definitive answer in this post edit in 2 minutes, switching to WebOS right nowYes[Edited on February 25, 2012 at 7:20 PM. Reason : same 4 PDFs come up when I open Adobe Reader on WebOS side][Edited on February 25, 2012 at 7:23 PM. Reason : i think the DroidOS files have their own partition but data files are stored on the WebOS partition]
2/25/2012 7:18:41 PM
Cool. Thanks a lot.
2/25/2012 7:33:10 PM
Turns out that's where the PDFs were stored anyway. I just needed to get the Android version of Adobe to index the proper directory. That's what I get for taking the guys word for it when he said it didn't work without trying it myself. But yeah, works just like it should on both sides now.

nicealso apparently Google put out a Chrome Beta update in the market a couple days ago that no longer works on the Touchpad...so if you already have Chrome on and it works, don't upgrade it...if you accidentally upgrade it and it doesn't work, uninstall and install this http://www.sendspace.com/file/27x27ror if you're feeling adventurous, us ES File Explorer to modify build.prop and replace ro.build.id=GWK74 with ro.build.id=IML74K! i recommend the sendspace.com .APK though]

If you install the latest nightly build of CM9, it will fix the Chrome problem, not to mention it is the latest version available. The nightlys are suggested over Alpha 2.You can find the nightly releases here:http://techerrata.com/browse/nightly_kangs/tenderloinThe guy's twitter:https://twitter.com/#!/cm_tenderloin

the battery life difference from cm7 to cm9 has got to be exponentially better. i can actually leave the TP on for a few days and not touch it unlike before.
2/28/2012 3:48:37 PM
I'm still holding out until there is a stable version and I assume we are still not quite there. I don't want to have to constantly update it and WebOS is satisfying my needs for now.
2/29/2012 11:41:43 AM
I'd say it's pretty damn stable. Still using Alpha 2 and can't remember the last time I even booted into webOS
2/29/2012 12:33:49 PM
CM9 is definitely stable enough to be a daily driver.
2/29/2012 1:17:11 PM
yeah its very stableand if you happen to subscribe to Netflix streaming, you're doing yourself a disservice by not installing it imo
2/29/2012 2:10:10 PM
Thanks all. An IT guy here at work is installing it for me today. He already had everything set up on his machine so I just let him do it.
3/5/2012 2:44:33 PM
Not a fan at all so far. Having a hard time with wifi connections, constantly having to shut it on and off. It took me forever just to get here and post this. Hopefully it gets better. WebOS was more reliable than this has been. I was able to stream some Netflix at least.
3/5/2012 10:26:24 PM
i had plenty of wifi issues with some of the CM7 builds, especially when it would go to sleep and i'd bring it back up a half hour later...i've never had a wifi connect with CM9 Alpha 2.0 though
3/5/2012 11:09:21 PM
I'm back at work and it seems to work much better on the wifi here. Maybe it has to do with my setup at home.
3/6/2012 8:38:20 AM
I ended up booting in WebOS last night because CM9 was just awful. CM9 works fine at work but at home I can barely do anything that requires internet.
3/7/2012 8:32:47 AM
Wifi on CM9 has been solid for me also.
3/7/2012 8:50:41 AM
^ Yeah that is what the IT guys here at work tell me too. Not sure why my home wifi is giving it so much trouble. When I switch to WebOS, it works fine.
3/7/2012 9:08:53 AM
Cm9 running chrome has issues. I've never had chrome on my nexus crash and I do the same type browsing on both.
3/7/2012 7:48:39 PM
I set my router to channel 1 instead of 6 based on some message boards I read. It is working better so far but it has only been 5 minutes.Btw, Doom interactive background, ftw!
3/7/2012 9:52:48 PM
Just got CM9. Really like it. Are there other Android mods that people prefer instead?
3/11/2012 9:05:42 PM
Let me also add, does it not charge on the android side for anyone?
3/12/2012 8:09:20 PM
No issues with charging in Android - are you talking cable or the touchstone charger?
3/13/2012 4:11:23 PM
I love CM9. No WiFi issues for me. Best thread ever Str8BacardiL.
3/13/2012 7:12:31 PM
^^charger
3/13/2012 7:23:12 PM
Sure it isn't the cable? My OEM cable crapped out like a month after I got it.
3/14/2012 2:36:24 PM
mine charges fine with the cable on both WebOS and Android sidesi can't, however, connect the USB to my computer on the Android side and access the device, I have to do that on the WebOS side
3/14/2012 4:00:39 PM
this thread is full of poor people
3/14/2012 6:25:13 PM
true that. the device is junk

So I bought an N router to replace my G router and it seems to have solved my wifi issues at home (Only been 1 night though). Just wanted to throw that out there if others were having similar issues with having to reset their wifi often.
3/29/2012 8:14:23 AM
had something similar happen to me last year, my G router was needing a reset almost once a day
3/29/2012 9:42:48 AM
N is definitely the way to go with the touchpad. I gave my girlfriend mine, when she's at her friend's apartment with a G router, she has issues, at hers with an N no issues. I hope this doesn't mean I have to buy her friend an N-router . I've loved Ice Cream Sandwich on the Touchpad, it's not as nice as my Transformer Prime, but it's quite nice. I just wish there was a way to crack the driver to get the camera working on it.
3/29/2012 9:49:35 AM
^They have $20 refurb N Routers at Tiger Direct/Comp USA on Capital
3/29/2012 1:24:43 PM
CM9 Alpha 2 still the most recent "stable" build aside from the nightly CM9 releases?
4/5/2012 11:30:34 AM
downloaded Radiant Defense free from the HP App Catalog the other day, cool game, made by Hexagei also bought this game called Picross for 99 cents, there is a free trial version, cool little number/logic game
5/5/2012 8:51:40 PM
Picross is in Preware btw, not the HP App Catalog
5/5/2012 10:20:09 PM
So i hadn't used my touchpad for a while.i plugged it in to charge it, and nothing. it won't charge, or power on.just to make sure the AC/USB adapter wasn't dead, i plugged in my iphone, and it started charging.fffffuuuuuuu
5/5/2012 10:45:32 PM
that happened to B0j0sthese things don't react well to neglect it seems
5/5/2012 10:54:02 PM
just curious for Bobby and B0j0s, 16GB?wonder if my 32 is safe
5/5/2012 10:58:56 PM
bojos is 16gb
5/6/2012 12:09:59 AM
i lost my charger today so if your touchpad died...
5/6/2012 12:25:43 AM
Have you tried doing the power button and volume up or down (can't remember right now) reset? I had that happen once, but that fixed it.
5/6/2012 1:26:52 AM
^^^^mine is a 32GBor was... ^ not familiar with that, I'll see if i can find it on the googles and give it a shot.[Edited on May 6, 2012 at 9:20 AM. Reason : .]
5/6/2012 9:20:04 AM
It's power and the home button for a hard reset. Did you tried another microusb cable? Mine went out like a month after getting it.
5/6/2012 9:28:19 AM
5/6/2012 10:01:43 AM
haven't had any issues with the screen rotation, seems to automatically switch just finedon't know what you're referring to with sleep mode, although on some of the earlier builds, when the device would go into sleep mode it would lose its wifi connection and you'd have to manually correct...thats not an issue in the Alpha 2 build though, they fixed it- USB doesn't work for data (you can charge the device with USB in Android mode though)- camera and microphone don't work on Android sideone other little bug which is no big deal is when you hit the screen/power button and go to restart, it actually turns off the device...so in order to restart, you still have to manually power on againother than those minor things, everything else seems to work fine]
5/6/2012 6:36:17 PM
my audio gets shitty if it's playing music and the screen goes to sleep, not every time but a lot of the time, then it won't be fixed again until i rebootit works fine on WebOS though (audio when screen sleeps)
5/6/2012 7:58:07 PM
i've had issues where the audio sounds 'staticky' on the WebOS side as well, but I figure thats from one of the Preware volume boost patchesbut yeah, i've gotten that on occasion on the droid side too, not very often though
5/6/2012 10:46:25 PM
@TreeTwista10A source tells me that "data does work on the android side...there is an obscure setting to toggle it"
5/6/2012 11:07:23 PM
^^ i get the same static and i'm stock.
