Work has calmed down and now I've reached the "is it football season yet?" time of summer. I've let red rage get me down.

Saviors of the Six Yard Punt?[Edited on August 3, 2011 at 10:27 AM. Reason : a lanky bastard aint he? he better bring das boot.]

One of my only regrets from childhood is never learning how to kick the shit out of a football.

"They don't own the jerseys, NC State University owns the jerseys. It's their job to earn them." I <3 TOB.
8/3/2011 10:46:09 AM
^ yea really, don't know if he stole that form another coach, maybe Welsh, but that's a great quote. Also, the video from WRAL, Tobais Palmer looks f a s t.can't wait to see them on the field
8/3/2011 10:50:00 AM
from that video, there's a #66 that is not on the spring roster or in the countdown deal herei vote that he makes the team because he has a high top fadeEdit: #66 is AJ Ferguson...someone missed him in the player countdown![Edited on August 3, 2011 at 11:29 AM. Reason : .]

^+1 for the high top fade

^you can still have a six yard punt with 5 seconds of hang time. Just sayin.....

Rivals' ACC preview has us as
8/4/2011 8:06:52 AM
USA Today Preseason poll is out.http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/usatpoll.htmNot surprisingly we aren't ranked, but we did receive 4 votes! ACC teams with more votes: FSU, VT, Miami, UNC and Clemson. It's probably a good thing that we might be a little under-rated. But I am still nervous about our defense. I know they are older and more experienced, but I cant seem to forget 2009. That was the worst defense I have ever seen.[Edited on August 4, 2011 at 12:42 PM. Reason : 1]
8/4/2011 12:19:57 PM
the defense will be fine. worry about health and our QB/WRs if anything.
8/4/2011 12:31:06 PM
As long as Tenuta is around we should be better than the 2009 defense. I'm not saying he's some amazing coach but Archer's soft defense sucks.
8/4/2011 12:34:55 PM
i realize its by design but the wolfpacker has a podcast up and its got me pumped up, lots of really good stuff in there. they talk a lot about how the freshman look, say that we've got the best set of "physically imposing" tight-ends and they use words like "tank" etc.http://ncstate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1247179[Edited on August 4, 2011 at 12:53 PM. Thank God we have a soft schedule the 1st half of the season. I'm worried about our offense being able to gain momentum and move the ball down the field. Hopefully we'll figure out how to do that against Liberty, S. Alabama, etc.
8/4/2011 1:38:43 PM
TOB is gonna be on The Drive at around 6:05pm this eveninghttp://www.wfnz.com for streaming

what do the seat numbers at Carter Finley go to for each section? I was thinking that they went from 1-32, with 1 and 32 being on the ends. Is that off?
8/5/2011 9:28:07 AM
The steps go down the middle of each section. The lower numbers of each section are to the right as you are looking towards the field.
8/5/2011 10:18:51 AM
hearing good things about Rodman Noel, if i recall he was a late 4* pickup. Already he's our biggest safety
8/5/2011 2:37:08 PM
I wonder if he'll prove good enough to be a starter. I figured he'd redshirt this year.
8/5/2011 2:51:50 PM
^^ Maybe height, but no way is he bigger than Wolff. Bishop, Wolff, Coleman, Johnson should be enough S for the depth chart, hopefully we can redshirt Noel.
8/5/2011 2:58:01 PM
Looks really long
8/5/2011 3:26:31 PM
^^ @wadhead, yea, he's not as physically built as those guys, but he's not a slouch and he's listed as 6'3". But yes, you're right, the crop of Safeties we have now are probably as good as we've had in a long time.
8/5/2011 3:35:29 PM
Season Tickets arrived...Time to get SUPER EXCITED I like how the package included a NCAA Rules & Regulations brochure Every season ticket holder that received one of these brochures should mail it to the UNC athletic department OR bring it to the NC State v. UNC game and hold it up when the UNC team takes the field, or simply leave it on the car windows of UNC fans.

Taylor Gentry named to the Hornung watch list. (Most versatile player)
8/8/2011 11:13:08 AM
Looking forward to seeing how well Freshmen QB Brian Taylor does!!! He's a friend of the family, so I hope he is successful! About how much do season tickets cost per season????FWIW, A.J. Ferguson is #65 according to GoPack.com.
8/8/2011 4:55:28 PM
^not to rain on your parade, but taylor probably won't be seeing the field for at least a couple years.
8/8/2011 5:00:14 PM
We still have to go through Glennon and Brosius.. So, yeah. You might get to watch him warm up before the games though.
8/8/2011 5:04:38 PM
I know I know. I'm just excited for the future talent. He was under a great coaching system at Harnett Central so I can't wait to see how that translates on the collegiate level. I'll be patient. ::smile:: I just hope Glennon doesn't disappoint as a pocket passer. The O-Line has GOT to step it up. The fact that our QB who can make something out of nothing by tucking and running to scramble for extra yards is gone COMPLETELY scares me. If our O-line protects MG, then we should win hopefully at least 6 games. [Edited on August 9, 2011 at 2:37 AM. Reason : .]
