i am. you've been posting way more in ST lately, and it's so asinine that it brings down the board noticeably.
9/18/2011 5:13:53 PM
Knock it off with the picture.
9/18/2011 5:15:51 PM
u mad?
9/18/2011 5:17:56 PM
dude's getting his panties in a wad because I referenced a stupid comment made by a troll on here that we all made fun of. it was a well timed quip, others agreed, and this guy gets sand in his patootie. come on
9/18/2011 5:18:58 PM
i dont live in Raleigh anymore but I don't want Mountaineers burning down my college town
9/18/2011 5:27:58 PM
nah, they only burn down their own college town.

I do not want WVU. Do not want at all.Let's find an academically respectable school that still has strong athletics. UConn would be great, and really, why would they stay in the Big East if Syracuse and Pitt jump ship? However, I don't know who we'd take next. I don't want to see the ACC expand west unless they pick up Notre Dame (yeah, right) or Texas.
9/18/2011 6:26:47 PM
As a Pennsylvanian, let me point out that Pitt isn't really a B school. It is more of a "1a" school, considering that in western PA it is the main draw for college students where Penn State is more central and eastern.
9/18/2011 6:32:03 PM
i do not understand the argument against wvu. is stanford somehow degraded by being in the same conference as arizona state?
9/18/2011 6:34:03 PM
people who go to arizona state don't impregnate their sisters and daughters and shit.
9/18/2011 6:35:47 PM
9/18/2011 6:37:32 PM
the ACC just threw down a on the Big XII
9/18/2011 6:39:31 PM
you guys roll around acting like the world thinks the state of north carolina is a wonderful mesh of new world sophistication and old world class, and that nc state is on par with a ut-austin, say, as an engineering school.while i enjoy north carolina, sans the heat, and will argue that nc state is a solid and respectable top 25 engineering institution, that's just not our reputation. i don't think anyone is going to lesser their opinion of nc state by adding west virginia to the conference. i'm in fact quite sure of it. if anything it'll get higher b/c espn will show the teams in the ACC and people will notice that there is both a unc and an nc state.]
9/18/2011 6:40:30 PM
WVU are some of the worst fans in the country (even worse than Wal-Mart Nation UNC fans), and everyone knows this. Couple this with horribad academics, and I don't want them in my conference.
9/18/2011 6:40:36 PM
9/18/2011 6:42:01 PM
So, the PAC-12 looks to be interested in becoming the PAC-16. The ACC is up to 14 with a likely 15 on the way (meaning a 16th team will be in our future as well - likely the only reason we've waited to announce UConn is to secure the 16th team first). Wonder when the SEC will step up their game? The Big 10 seem to be content with their 12-team conference, but I don't see them sitting on the sidelines if the PAC-12 and ACC go to a 16-team setup.
9/18/2011 6:44:50 PM
simonn has been to California, guys.
9/18/2011 6:46:09 PM
it's really funny, but understandable, that Big East people are furious at Swofford mentioning the ACCT possibly being in MSG
9/18/2011 7:05:04 PM
^^ man i've said that for a long time. when i graded a 400 level CE class i realized that maybe nc state wasn't the arguable top 10 that i used to give it credit for.as far as the perception of the state of north carolina goes, that's just a fact, and i've said that for a long time too.[Edited on September 18, 2011 at 7:08 PM. Reason : i didn't say anything about california! although i haven't just been there, i fucking live there]
9/18/2011 7:05:24 PM
9/18/2011 7:16:02 PM
It's not like our success would satisfy our fanbase.
9/18/2011 7:20:50 PM
we'll probably go after UConn and Rutgers, but i really wish we would go after Naval Academy
9/18/2011 7:21:54 PM
I'm not gonna act like State is a top-10 engineering university (though I'd like to see where that was ever claimed), but have you likewise graded at dozens of other universities? Seems like your research could be a bit short.
9/18/2011 7:21:59 PM
Naval Academy? ha whaaaaaaaaaaaat?
9/18/2011 7:30:15 PM
i hope we go after campbell and murray state.
9/18/2011 7:34:41 PM
^^^ they were so incredibly bad, but no i have not, so my mistake. i was just trying to figure out what part of what i said had anything to do with california.and who the fuck brought up navy? that's a horrible idea. so is rutgers, what the fuck? we're not trying to race to be a big conference, we're trying to make sure we survive the conference-contracting. adding rutgers does nothing for that.edit: an acc official says we're looking at rutgers/!?! WHY?![Edited on September 18, 2011 at 7:37 PM. Reason : FUCK YOU ACC]
9/18/2011 7:35:20 PM
I'd definitely be upset if the ACC ended up with Rutgers...
9/18/2011 7:36:43 PM
rutgers and miami would be a good in state rivalry
9/18/2011 7:38:33 PM
Tony Soprano has a hit out on Swofford if we don't let Rutgers in.
9/18/2011 7:38:44 PM
The ACC is not spread out enough. We should go after Maine or New Hampshire.[Edited on September 18, 2011 at 7:45 PM. Reason : not]
9/18/2011 7:40:10 PM
Does Bermuda have a university? They have an Atlantic coast.
9/18/2011 7:42:00 PM
We can raid this conference next:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_University_Sport
9/18/2011 7:43:52 PM
9/18/2011 7:46:17 PM
i think that's all true, and i have no disdain for rutgers as a university whatsoever, but i think it's too important of a decision to do based on potential.
9/18/2011 7:47:47 PM
tbh id rather have simonn running this shit than swoffordi mean no matter what we were going to end up with a bunch of turd options but at least he understands what this is all about. im pretty sure swofford is just selecting teams randomly. hopefully we luck into a va tech again[Edited on September 18, 2011 at 7:54 PM. Reason : ]
9/18/2011 7:48:13 PM
LOL. that's going straight to my profile.
9/18/2011 7:49:06 PM
what happened to the ACC official saying Rutgers wasn't high on their priority list right now
9/18/2011 7:49:29 PM
^ did they? please tell me they did.i was reading http://tinyurl.com/3h6zg5q
9/18/2011 7:51:30 PM
Basketball tradition, huh?UConn, Syracuse, Pittsburgh................... Rutgers.[Edited on September 18, 2011 at 7:52 PM. Reason : rutgers bball is best known for dahntay jones leaving]
9/18/2011 7:52:26 PM
page 21 AC Slater:
9/18/2011 7:52:41 PM
i'm more inclined to trust the espn story... which makes me furious.
9/18/2011 7:53:59 PM
I haven't clicked any links latelybut I am seeing Rutgers more on the twitter timeline ... ugh
9/18/2011 7:55:07 PM
It's all rumors of course, but I've read a few places that WVU has sent in paperwork to the SEC. Not sure the SEC would go from wanting Texas and OU to WVU.. but maybe?
9/18/2011 7:57:31 PM
i just searched rutgers on twitteras much as adding them would suck, it sure is funny to watch louisville fans meltdown over it
9/18/2011 7:58:06 PM
We should leave the ACC, join up with Rutgers and Iona and call it the Jimmy V conference.
9/18/2011 7:58:46 PM
does Seton Hall play football?
9/18/2011 7:59:42 PM
Internet rumors suggesting WVU to SEC...[Edited on September 18, 2011 at 8:00 PM. Reason : Yep, beat.]
9/18/2011 8:00:05 PM
obviously I am not "the SEC", but I would much much rather have WVU than Texas and Oklahoma
