Hanson is pitching today and hopefully they will give him some damn run support. I feel bad for the guy, he's probably pitched just as good as Hudson has in his last 5 starts with no wins to show for it. This was a portion of the preview from espn.com today

Saw some chatter on AJC about whether or not Omar could get to 502 PAs necessary to qualify for the batting title. It seems highly unlikely unless he gets 4.5 PAs per game the rest of the way which means no days off.

But there is some rule I never heard of that says if he comes up say 30 PAs shy of 502, they can give him an 0-30 and if his BA is still the best even with the 0-30 factored in, then he can be crowned the batting champ. That is a crazy rule, but I hope Omar is able to win it as his season has been amazing.

^ That was just piss poor. Capuano somehow put himself out of position to truly see the play and then blew the call badly even though Gonzalez was out by a half foot. I am surprised Bobby did not argue. Umpires should be fined when they blow a call like that. Thanks Todd Helton for getting in the time machine and turning into the year 2000 version of yourself.

Thank you Astros. Braves lost last night before Lowe even had two outs recorded. Not a surprise, but the Braves have looked flat in both of these games with no strategy against two pretty sorry pitchers (although Hammel is pretty good at Coors and De La Rosa was pretty good last year).

Derek Lee has been terrible since the trade. Dude cannot catch up to a 93 mph fastball.
