Also cutler saying he's got the best arm in the NFL and comparing himself favorably to John Elway seems kind of dick like.

Ok, I agree that Brady is slightly overrated, but he is EASILY either the #1 or #2 QB in the league right now assuming he comes back from the injury 100%
12/29/2008 10:43:16 AM
12/29/2008 10:45:56 AM
Carson Palmer was easily a top 3 quarterback 2 years ago, now he's not a top 20 QB...nothing is guaranteed for Bradywould anybody have had Brees in their top 5 two years ago? Look how much Hasselbeck has fallen off everyone's ratings over the last couple years...a few years ago, Mark fucking Bulger was a consensus top 5 QB in the NFL...with the exception of Peyton, this shit changes all the time]
12/29/2008 10:47:18 AM
^^must be a big ass fucking tier then...favre is closer to being in the bottom 1/3 of QBs than being in the top 1/3
12/29/2008 10:49:29 AM
It's okay for Cutler, because he's going to the pro bowl. hahhahaha

12/29/2008 10:54:53 AM
Rivers sends Peyton home early again on Saturday. The Chargers won't get beat twice at home by the same team. They'll get an early lead and make the Colts 1-dimensional, and then force Manning into mistakes down the stretch.Hopefully the MVP award for Peyton will prove to be a jinx, as it was for Brady, LT and Alexander before that.
12/29/2008 11:47:29 AM
Here's what Cutler said after the game:
12/29/2008 12:51:50 PM
Wow, what a bitter raging bag of douche.
12/29/2008 1:05:16 PM
no no, rivers is the douche.all of his douchebaggery is very well documented. Cutler is a class act, and all of y'all making accusations about his character are only drawing conclusions bases on assumptions and yellow journalism.Give the guy a break, he's battled diabeetus his WHOLE LIFE and is an NFL quarterback! It's really an amazing story.Yeah Rivers played hurt once. give the guy a fucking fig newton.

They're both douchesThey take turns being the bigger oneCutler takes the momentary lead with that quotebut Rivers will probably reclaim the throne when he calls Dwight Freeney a porch monkey on Saturday night
12/29/2008 1:19:40 PM
^ hahahahah
12/29/2008 1:25:43 PM
Well, to be fair, Freeney is a porch monkey.Rivers' "shit-talking", if you can call it that, is actually pretty pathetic. After the playoff loss to the Patiots in '06 when Ellis Hobbs was dancing on the Chargers logo and LT had to be restrained from going after him, you could hear Rivers, in a high-pitched southern twang, screaming "You're the sorriest cornerback in the league!".[Edited on December 29, 2008 at 1:31 PM. Reason : J/K about Freeney. The guy is a badass]
12/29/2008 1:30:38 PM
I thought he got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabeetus within the year.
12/29/2008 1:39:19 PM
^ yuphttp://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8081b03e&template=with-video&confirm=trueEarlier this year. Started showing signs of it some time last year apparently.

Good read:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/jim_trotter/12/29/Trotter.Charges/index.htmlSome highlights:
12/30/2008 9:54:58 AM
At first I was like..."Colts will win this going away."But the closer it gets to Saturday, the more excited I get about this game and San Diego's chance. The Chargers just have to keep putting up points. I think their defense is just going to go all out after Peyton...which means that he'll definitely get his points, but I think make some mistakes too. Should be a great game.
12/30/2008 10:02:26 AM
It would be so nice for a charger/panther face off in the end!
12/30/2008 10:15:48 AM
I see the complete lack of a running game by the Colts hurting them a ton... Chargers are going to be able to pin their ears back and blitz, and with Cromartie stuck on Wayne I think its going to come down to Dallas Clark as the deciding factor
12/30/2008 10:47:48 AM
Cromartie sucks this year. They'll stick Jammer on Wayne. It should be another close game. Homefield advantage is huge for San Diego. I think they win by less than a touchdown.
12/30/2008 12:53:35 PM
^Colts are pretty much lights out on the road. I don't know if HFA will be as big of a deal as people are making it out to be. I don't think shit like that effects Manning that much.San Diego's secondary is really going to have to step up. I think the front 7 will be able to get pressure on Manning...the secondary just has to take advantage. And Philip has to be spot on. Indy's defense is pretty solid and I don't see them running too well on them. Sproles will be key...he's got to make a big play in the return game and/or the short passing game...turning some screen or short swing passes into big gains.Again...I'm getting really excited about this game.
12/30/2008 1:00:06 PM
Well I doubt the road and the crowd affects Manning too much, but the Chargers play their most inspired football at home. They posted several blowouts at the Q, including big wins against the Jets, Patriots and Broncos. On the road, they frequently come out flat, but at home they are motivated and ready to play from the first snap.Rivers has had a lot of success throwing the ball against that Colts pass D in his last 2 games against them. Manning, on the other hand, has thrown 9 interceptions in his last 3 games against the Chargers.[Edited on December 30, 2008 at 1:28 PM. Reason : 2]

any news on LT and gates?
1/3/2009 1:09:33 PM
Both gametime decisions.LT has a tendon disconnected from his pubic bone, so they don't know how effective he can be. Gates seems doubtful but he thinks he will play.

damn Reggie, got to catch that shit
1/3/2009 8:26:20 PM
the Colts stopped themselves on that first drive... receivers were open on every play.defense needs to step up.
1/3/2009 8:27:11 PM
Scifres is a beast. And you don't say that very often for a punter. What a weapon to have.
1/3/2009 8:28:02 PM
its scary how good the Colts would be if they could run the ball at all
