Here's what the setup at Ford Field looks like. The floor is raised up 3 feet off the ground. A lot of the players have already said that they will have to be wise as to which loose balls they should go after, so that they don't go flying off the edge. The benches are on the ground below the court, so that specators can see.[Edited on March 28, 2008 at 7:04 AM. Reason : ]

So far if you're a 1 or 3 seed, it appears you can get away with fouling as long as you hit them on the forearm and you don't have to dribble the ball in order to move it down the court.
3/28/2008 7:34:39 AM
that looks like a terrible setup.

I just don't want UNC to win for the simple reason of the press coverage that will flood my every move into the world of electronics. TV, Radio, stupid fucking chain emails about how great ROy is.Hopefully there will be a Marshall incident for UNC which is pretty much the only way they aren't going to win a title it seems, but then the movies and the endless coverage about the loss of such talent, etc. I don't which would be worse, everyone dying or UNC winning.
3/28/2008 8:40:05 AM
are all you guys that would root for unc over ucla state fans?
3/28/2008 9:18:42 AM
ANYONE BUTCAROLINA
3/28/2008 9:22:09 AM
I hate UNC as much as anyone, but sometimes you have to admit that they are the best team. If UCLA wins the championship, it would be bullshit.Except UCLA, I would root for anyone but carolina.
3/28/2008 9:40:10 AM
^^^ I am a huge State fan considering it's my alma mater... but I live, work and go to grad school in California and EVERYONE seems to be a UCLA fan this time of year. It's annoying. More annoying than UNC fans ever were to me in NC... just my opinion.
3/28/2008 9:41:32 AM
3/28/2008 9:49:47 AM
I think for the future Final Fours they want the risers at the baselines to be filled with students.
3/28/2008 9:53:10 AM
^^ lol, how can you disagree? You've never even lived in CA I'm betting..[Edited on March 28, 2008 at 9:58 AM. Reason : and I also said TO ME]
3/28/2008 9:58:00 AM
i just dont know how me living in california would ever make me hate any school more than my alma mater's #1 rival...
3/28/2008 10:06:36 AM
i have no problem admitting that UNC looks like the best team in the country right now.. but Duke looked pretty good in 99 at this point (Duke 99, Florida A&M 58; Duke 97, Tulsa 56; Duke 78, SW Missouri St. 61; Duke 85, Temple 64), and we all know what happened to them (lost to a UConn team with Ricky Moore, Rip Hamilton, and the fat kid from Hook playing point guard)Louisville looks pretty good and i think they have a good chance. Padgett should give Hansbrough some problems..but if UNC beats them, Kansas (if they don't choke) should be able to beat them too. I think UNC would kill UCLA right now[Edited on March 28, 2008 at 10:24 AM. Reason : .]
3/28/2008 10:22:49 AM
anybody think the fact that Duke and UNC tend to get more calls than other schools during ACC conference play ends up hurting them since they don't get all those bullshit calls in the NCAA tourney? What is the regular season preparing them for?
3/28/2008 10:25:01 AM
No, it doesn't seem to be hurting carolina, and duke just didn't play well down the stretch
3/28/2008 3:11:13 PM
its not hurting carolina yet but they also havent played anybody in the first 3 roundsduke...well duke has bigger problemsstill though...i think its worth mentioning...if the ACC refs called it fairly all year long it would be a lot better preparation for the NCAA tourney where UNC and Duke dont actually get all the close calls
3/28/2008 3:16:54 PM
Coach K has the all-time highest winning percentage in the tournament. I dont think the difference in referreeing is a factor.
3/28/2008 3:54:46 PM
i think it's hurt both teams at times in the past... especially UNC/George Mason. Hansbrough wasn't getting any calls, and they lost. hope that happens against Louisville.. dude is gonna come back next year no matter what, I would love it if he never wins a title[Edited on March 28, 2008 at 3:59 PM. Reason : .]
3/28/2008 3:59:36 PM
^^i blame his early exists the past 2 years on lack of talent more than anything elsei dunno i just think both of those schools get the calls during the regular season but dont get them in the post season...maybe it wont be a factor this year, cause UNC HAS looked pretty damn good despite that one no-call when Lawson drew contact last night...also WSU was missing tons of layups...but i'm just throwing the ref thing out there]
3/28/2008 4:01:09 PM
^^who are you talking about? Hansbrough?
3/28/2008 4:21:49 PM
no, william graves
3/28/2008 4:27:50 PM
Oh man, I didn't realize Gus Johnson was doing the Davidson game, there is hope.
3/28/2008 6:08:48 PM
Go DAVIDSON. i really hope wisconsin doesnt make them look like a mid major tonightand FUCK Texas. dont need any football schools penetrating deep into the tournament
3/28/2008 6:17:27 PM
lol at the court. Someone is going to go for a loose ball and break their leg. Or, perhaps more likely, a coach is going to fall off.
3/28/2008 6:22:28 PM
i don't see how any self-respecting nc state alum could ever root for unc no matter who they were playing.unless they just weren't into sports when they were here.
3/28/2008 6:24:16 PM
omg curry isnt supposed to miss from therehe got that one though. this is gonna be a good gamethey need to chill with beating his ass though]
3/28/2008 6:36:15 PM
How in the hell does Davidson have a better team than we do??
3/28/2008 6:39:24 PM
curry is amazing.
3/28/2008 6:39:36 PM
Thing is, people were saying Davidson was going to have a good team this year before the season ever started, and before anyone knew just how amazing Curry was.
3/28/2008 6:42:32 PM
^indeedThe shooting percentage in this game must be ridiculous. No one is missing anything.
3/28/2008 6:45:03 PM
^^ Yeah, I agree. Even going into our game with Davidson, I knew there was a potential for a L.[Edited on March 28, 2008 at 6:45 PM. Reason : .]
3/28/2008 6:45:14 PM
Go Davidson!
3/28/2008 7:23:58 PM
i love these casters, they try so hard

3/28/2008 7:28:13 PM
davidson is playing beautiful basketball
3/28/2008 7:28:57 PM
haha. it's probably a good thing that we played them kinda early in the season. We'd get beaten by 50+ now.
3/28/2008 7:30:03 PM
Most people knew Curry was special after last season, but Richards is awesome at the point, Lovedale and Sander are solid big men, Paulhus-Gosselin is a relentless defender. What surprised people the most, I think, is that Davidson is a complete high-major team that just happened to be in the SC[Edited on March 28, 2008 at 7:33 PM. Reason : s]
3/28/2008 7:33:32 PM
but really, have you ever seen so many white guys on the floor in a sweet 16 game in the past 20 years?thats 7.5 by my count]
3/28/2008 7:34:27 PM
STEPHEN MOTHERFUCKING CURRY[Edited on March 28, 2008 at 7:38 PM. Reason : poked the ball away on the other end to start the break too]
3/28/2008 7:38:17 PM
Curry!!
3/28/2008 7:38:26 PM
ouch. curry is lights out
3/28/2008 7:38:29 PM
wow what a fake and shot
3/28/2008 7:38:33 PM
amazing
i'm getting about fucking sick of stephen curry. he's fucking up my bracket something awful.
3/28/2008 7:39:00 PM
That was awesome to see the defender fly by.
3/28/2008 7:39:10 PM
LOL at him watching that guy jump right past him
