Those are solid trucks, we have '67 that looks like that(gasser). The shift linkage is crazy on a manual, the auto solves that. I think they made that style into the early 90s.

I feel sorry for the poor bloke that has to buy parts for it. I don't think I'd want a worn out BMW.
11/8/2009 11:30:31 PM
I don't know much about that model specifically, but in most cases, 50k on a big BMW isn't anything to break a sweat over. I'm sure it's no K75, but the longevity is usually there.

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/1539318103.htmlCIVIC WITH ROOF RACK - $925 (SANFORD)sale-kwyjr-1539318103@craigslist.orghey, this is a 1991 honda civic with a nice roof rack. i used it to haul my canoes and bikes around and it works great. the car is a manual transmission and has 312,000 miles on it. it runs perfect and doesn't smoke at all. it will get about 30 plus miles per gallon. i just don't use it much anymore because i bought a van. the interior is decent but the seats have some wear and tear. no A/C. let me know if you are interested or if you need any additional pics. thanks Quinn, I think I found us a project car... http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/1544015633.htmlsale-ffwks-1544015633@craigslist.org1985 Ford LTD LX Sport Sedan. One of 3260 built during an 18 month period for 1984-85. This Fox Body, mid-sized LTD is truly a ‘Four Door Mustang”. Car has the 5.0/302 HO engine from the ‘85 Mustang GT Auto. 4-speed Automatic Transmission. Traction-Loc differential with 3.27 gears. 15:1 ratio Steering as in the Cobra. Floor shift. These were built after Bob Bondurant requested a few to be used at his High Performance Driving School in California. They worked out quite well, and a few engineers within Ford pushed to make them available to the public. The program was short-lived though, due to the replacement of the Fox Body LTD by the then-new Taurus. This car was sold new at Swanson Fahrney Ford in Selma, California. The original elderly-lady owner passed away a few years ago, and the car was left to her brother. He sold it to a gentleman in Oregon who drove is very little during the couple of years of his ownership. Condition, and a current CarFax verifies the low original mileage. Paint is original, and has a great shine. The painted Red Pinstripe is excellent. There are a few very minor blemishes in the paint from use, but it is extremely nice. The only non-original paint is on the plastic grille, and the Dark Charcoal trim that was repainted with the proper SEM trim paint. Interior is near perfect, with a small (less than 1”) cut on the right side of the console being the only real fault. Engine/trans/differential operate as a 42K mile car should. A/C is very cold. Original radio works as it should. The steering wheel has been changed to one from a 1989 Mustang GT, but the original is included. I have installed an extremely hard-to find factory New Old Stock cat-back exhaust. The A.I.R. Injection tube has been removed, but is included with the car. Also included are two aftermarket Catalytic Converters, enabling the new owner to install dual exhaust if desired. Rear shocks have been replaced with KYB performance units, replacing the original Motorcraft Heavy-Duty units. Two build sheets are included, found over the fuel tank when the low-pressure fuel pump was replaced by me last month. The wheels are correct for the car as an option; however, this particular car came with the steel/plastic styled wheel that was stock on these. These original wheels are in excellent condition, and included with the car. There are also two extra alloys, included. Tires are like new, and have a couple thousand miles on them. I will also include a factory police-option 140 mph speedometer with the car. These cars came with an anemic 85 mph unit. I had planned to change it, but I couldn’t bring myself to do so, with the original low mileage. Due to extended periods of non-use, a lot of maintenance has been done in order to get this car road ready. In the last 4000 miles (most in the last 500 miles), the following has been done: Brakes, with calipers, pads, shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, and Power Brake Booster. Tune up with plugs, distributor cap, O2 Sensor, MAP sensor, fuel filter New Three-Row Radiator, upper/lower hoses, bypass hose, thermostat, coolant. A/C Converted to R134a Replace one plastic Intake Tube, replace two preheat tubes Replace Drive Belt Replace in-tank, Low Pressure Fuel Pump Replace Intake Manifold Gasket Set, EGR valve gasket, distributor o-ring So, to summarize, you are buying: 1985 LTD LX with 42,300 Original Miles NOS Factory Cat-back Exhaust System, specific to the LTD LX, just installed Original equipment Steering Wheel Four Original Equipment Steel Wheels Two Spare Alloy Wheels Two Aftermarket Catalytic Converters 140 MPH Police Speedometer Period-correct Bob Bondurant Driving School License Tag Frame This is a great driving car that I am selling due to a lack of storage. In fact. If my 1974 Porsche 914 sells first, I will keep the LTD, one of the nicest original LTD LX in the country. This is a nice driver-quality LTD LX that would be a show winner with some very minor detailing. I am not aware of any problems that currently need attention; however, it is a 25 year old car that has been used very little over the years. This should be considered, as the car could certainly need some repairs now, or at sometime in the future. I am selling the car as is, with no warranty of any kind.
