If the stakes were higher I'd go into this rant about how the guy in now way deserved those cards for the way he'd been playing all game. But at levels like that I guess you have to expect shit to go down...

ahahahah

Did I really have a choice with those blinds, my stack, and those cards? After all, he did just make a call...

I wouldve done the same after the flop most likely when that 3rd K came.

You played it right, you had 3 of a kind while he had a pair. He just got lucky and drew the turn and the river to make a striaght.

It's the hand we all dread, the one when you think you have clearly won then get beat on some freak chance they draw 2 or 3 of the exact cards they needed in a row.. oh well it's what makes it fun.

It is ridiculous to post that shit here and expect people to care. If you were playing 300/600 someone might care about your KK losing to AA, but really you are posting $0.10-$1.00 tournaments, what do you expect? Johnny Chan is not sitting next to you in these.

played with Turner thursday night. Needless to say I walked away impressed. Completely controlled the action and cleared ~$1500 in about 5 hours of a 1/2 NL 200 max buy-in.

He was always a good player, but his game is on another stratosphere now.

So I'm flying home and the guy beside me is reading a poker magazine and I glance over and he's reading an article Turner wrote in Bluff magazine with his picture taking up half the page. Hilarious.

It almost inspired me to make another run at things but I just don't think I have the love of the game or the control over the alcohol to be anything more than a grinder. Glad to see good people making things work out there though.

He had the k high flush draw and an over, two overs if you had hit middle or bottom pair. What are the chances you flop the flush heads up?

so I could understand if he had the Ad, but not with what he had.

i mean what if i had Ad 9x, he's completely fucked. it just seems like a bad play on his part, bc why would I check raise a flop like that with A9 no diamonds

Is there any methodology behind moving people to different tables or is it all random?

1. No, I don't know.
2. Seems like I'm moved everytime I win a big pot.

They balance the tables to keep the total chip count about the same for each table.

That's my guess, but here's a more official response.

# As players are eliminated from the tournament, the software may balance tables to ensure all tables have an equal number (or as close as possible) number of active players. The balancing of tables is done randomly and, although rare, may result in a player having to post several big blinds in a row. When nine players remain in a Hold'em or Omaha tournament or eight players remain in a Seven Card Stud tournament, all players are brought together at the "final table".

So i've really been thinking about that KK play, especially now in this satellite where XX amount
of seats are given to the top players. That situation is more of what I had in mind when I posted the hand history even though it was just a 4th spot bubble in a 10+1. It seemed like somehow somewhere someone might have folded that hand if they had an idea that the BB would call as an underdog, lose and get you in the money. The "fold until you have aces" was pretty insulting, but I suppose it had some amount of sarcastic truth to it. I know if i happened to have been a 1000 dollar sng I would have thought pretty hard about being a pussy and folding.

Okay, from my limited experience playing, Germans are the worst card players out of any nationality.

Anybody wanna chime in on this?
