Deceased G.O.P. Strategist’s Hard Drives Reveal New Details on the Census Citizenship Questionhttps://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/30/us/census-citizenship-question-hofeller.html

The government lying about a partisan rationale won't make a bit of difference to the conservative judges who were lied to.

Just FYI, HUGE decisions on redistricting and census happening this morning. Not an exaggeration that it can lock in counter-majorian rule for a generation. Also, the direct result of progressive apathy to the courts for 3p years.[Edited on June 27, 2019 at 10:03 AM. Reason : Here’s hoping for a surprise]

God damn it.Partisan gerrymandering yesterday. Today. And forever. This country fucking sucks.

I'm no political scholar but wouldn't voting for Clinton block Trump more than Kasich?
8/21/2019 7:18:21 PM
hmmm, possibly, but then socialism
8/21/2019 8:17:45 PM
If no candidate reaches a majority I think it then goes to the house to decide so I think the thought process was to try and get to a point where no candidate would reach that and cause more chaos. So by some people in Democrat winning states going for Kasich and some from republican winning states maybe doing that too and you somehow get enough, and although very unlikely to have happened easier to get some republicans to go Kasich to help block it than to go to Hillary. Not sure if this makes sense typing it on phone.

If she dies she better have someone just hide her body until the next president
8/23/2019 5:35:02 PM
Pretty certain the country would implode if she died while Trump is in office
8/24/2019 11:22:01 AM
yes thats certainly more plausible than democrats simply stalling till after the election

Kavanaugh‘s fragile and hysterical demeanor during the interview process should have been enough to disqualify him for the job of Supreme Court Justice.Never even mind the straight up lying or his past behavior.
9/15/2019 1:21:40 PM
Kavanaugh is there for 40 years. NOTHING we can do about it.Susan Collins is there for months and she should be voted out and shunned.
9/15/2019 4:21:02 PM
That's not true, democratic leadership yields a powerful tool to stand up to stuff like this: they can author a sternly worded tweet
9/15/2019 4:38:52 PM
https://www.foxnews.com/media/new-york-times-kavanaugh-criticismI just don't get why anyone would go to the NYT and not some small, local paper. Do they want people to think the whole story is BS?[Edited on September 16, 2019 at 7:20 PM. Reason : journalistic malpractice again]

It’s an absurdist comedy to see Trumps lawyer argue that the executive is too busy to deal with oversight on the day the president spent his morning yelling on twitter about what he was watching on the TeeVee.

I know they heard Trump’s case on this tax records but I never heard and can’t find any updates on a decision. Is it normal for decisions to take this long?
6/16/2020 7:53:02 AM
^I think the deadline is still the end of June, but the court extended the deadline due to COVID19 delays. The decision could be released in July. That case could go a hundred different ways but I’ve also seen some articles suggest it could be kicked back to the lower courts to resolve some technicalities, meaning we wouldn’t get a resolution until sometime next year or perhaps longer? Hard to say if the slow walk is intentional or not (of course, I view it as a pretty open and shut case, it should be an easy decision).
