Yeah, if you have no balance then you will have to make throws into coverage which is possible but it comes down to user skill at that point. When I throw into coverage against a good user, they usually make the play on me but against the computer I'm usually able to make a good effort towards catching it unless I am playing against Alabama. If you let the CPU catchit for you sometimes they will just give up on a catchable ball. I suck at user coverage because I go for the pick everytime instead of just batting it down.

E Man, you wanna run one tonight? Or are you still out of town/entertaining guests/it's complicated/you wouldn't understand it/caught in a web of lies

im flying home now but i have a research to do. Maybe tomorrow.[Edited on August 3, 2011 at 6:01 PM. Reason : just for non scheduled opponents]

8/3/2011 6:09:46 PM
Miss State just pasted my ass and now it's giving me a stadium tour instead of the option to exit the game. /fail
8/3/2011 6:10:38 PM
i'm posting on TWW from an airplane, I'm obviously in no position to play a game right now
8/3/2011 6:10:39 PM
It's like that old pic where the NCSU cop is browsing TWW in his patrol carExcept the car is a plane and the plane isn't real and the cop is a faggot alias
8/3/2011 6:15:20 PM
Welp looks like I'll have to replay since it was hung and didn't upload the stats so you kids don't throw a hissy fit when you see a restart.
8/3/2011 6:23:33 PM
Everyone had like 9 restarts last week[Edited on August 3, 2011 at 6:24 PM. Reason : except us ]
8/3/2011 6:24:39 PM
I don't know about you guys, but I only restart when I'm losing.
8/3/2011 6:31:11 PM
Let the CPU do my recruiting last week and it scheduled all of my targets for week 14 visits
8/3/2011 6:37:56 PM
^^^ lol The damn game had its mind made up that I wasn't going to win it. Was down 17-0, came back and tied it before half time. Then my qb apparently got a case of the can't throw for shits and overthrew wide open receivers. Right after the last play, the game decided that I hadn't seen enough of the stadium and proceeded to give me a tour. Stupid game
8/3/2011 6:48:05 PM
^^i've got about all my recruits coming on Week 13 to see me whoop the Fighting Irish
8/3/2011 6:49:20 PM
FSU over Wake 38-21Manuel has a good game despite overthrowing every short route by 10 yards. 275 yards, 3 TD and only one INT. FSU's run blocking is so awful, but we finally got a run game established in the fourth quarter and survived an early scare. Now on to whoever I play next week.
8/3/2011 7:22:58 PM
I just reminded myself of our UNC basketball game bet, E ManWhy do you never accept my challengesWhy are you scared of me
8/3/2011 8:06:51 PM
Was looking for some recruiting info I couldn't find online.I've noticed there are no FB above 2 stars. Should I just deal with this and move on, or are there any strategeries I should be aware of? (draft TE and move to FB, ATH stats to keep an eye for)If a 2 star FB is the best I can find, so be it. I know it's kind of retarded to quibble over the talent level of my FB, but if anyone has a method for snagging a monster let me know.
8/3/2011 8:43:14 PM
I moved a 300+ lb. offensive lineman to FB when I only had one on the roster in NCAA 11. Worked out great.
8/3/2011 8:45:31 PM
Not a bad move either there. I'm sure you got some hella blocking. I tend to use the FB in the pass game enough that I'd be afraid having a lineman wouldn't quite work which is why I am leaning more TE, but will give that a shot as well.Anyone else got any ideas?[Edited on August 3, 2011 at 8:54 PM. Reason : Thank you Ernie.]
8/3/2011 8:54:20 PM
In the past I've always overrecruited at hb so i end up moving hbs to every position imaginable once I land the superstar hb. OLinemen->fb is the way I would like to go now since i only use fb formations on short yardage situations. I guess it all depends on your style. if splitbacks shotgun is the way you roll then you obviously need to move a hb. If running behind the lead blocker and passing to the flats is how you roll then you need a te.

Miami-23Ohio State- 17Harris throws for 115 and 1td/1int. Miller runs for 2 td on 136 yards. Ohio State recovered a onside kick with less than 40 seconds left in the game and heaved a hail mary pass into the endzone where it was luckily knocked down surprisingly by the only Miami player surrounded by 3 OSU players. Scary.Next Week Miami plays UNC.

Hey now, let me know if you're ready to buttfuck this party sometime tonight.
8/4/2011 10:06:44 AM
Is there a secret to inking recruits? I see Ernie has inked two 5* recruits already and I have only been able to sign 3 3* guys. I have done promises, visits, so many minute discussions on our good things about the program...I cant get any 4* or 5* to ink though...Im competing with Ernie for every damn recruit as well. ha
8/4/2011 1:13:46 PM
At the risk of sounding like E Man, here's my foolproof recruiting strategy:1. In the preseason, turn off all the recruiting helpers. I always forget to do this and my board is a mess in week 1.2. Also preseason, target 15 guys (10 hrs/15 = 40 min. each). I go after pipeline guys who have me in their top three, targeting the top 15 overall. If I have a glaring need I'll go down the list for that, and I'll stray outside my pipelines for 4 or 5 stars that have me #1.3. Week 1, offer any target that has you #1 on their list. Do it first thing in the call and you'll stock up some extra minutes for others. Seems like this year it's easier to get commits this way. Don't offer anyone who has you lower than #1.4. Find their interest in any pitch rated B+ or higher. For anything lower than B+, change the topic, make an easy to fill promise or just pitch it if you have to. The goal here is to get three highly rated pitches that you can use on the visit, and you want to get it out of the way quickly.5. Each week, immediately offer anyone who has moved you to their #1. Anyone who, for instance, has their list down to their top 3 with you at #4, you can pretty much forget about. 6. If you have pitches that you've already found their interest in, it's worth trying once to sway them. This also seems easier to do this year.7. If someone commits in the first 4-5 weeks, I'll add another target to the board in their place, keeping at 15. If someone commits later in the season, I just use the extra minutes on the targets who are left.8. Schedule recruiting visits as soon as possible. The quality of opponent doesn't make too much difference as far as I've seen.9. If you're way ahead of the pack on a guy (400+ points) and you already have three good pitches for the visit, auto-call 10 minutes. If you're way behind, use the scholarship offer to make up ground.10. I don't use the negative recruiting much (though I've used it more than usual on Miami this season ).11. I try to fill all my needs during the season, but you can use offseason recruiting to fill holes made by guys you missed out on. I usually only target 4-5 guys in the offseason and try to grab an extra 5* or three.I don't know if that makes much sense, I'm trying to eat my Chick-fil-A.

It also helps that he's had probably the best school for recruits in our dynasty two years running.Last year for sure, this year arguably.
8/4/2011 2:05:25 PM
His commish (non) buddy probably let him buy the recruiting cheats as well
8/4/2011 2:08:44 PM
Yeah, having the best team helps, but that's how I go about recruiting with my State dynasty too. I believe my consistent track record of turning the lowly Wolfpack into perennial national champions built on #1 recruiting classes speaks for itself. Consider yourself lucky to have been privileged to this insider info.[Edited on August 4, 2011 at 2:17 PM. Reason : Based on pitch ratings, I'd say Miami and FSU are dead-even]

8/4/2011 2:20:02 PM
Thanks Ernie, I'll try some of those. I try and negative recruit sometimes, but it seems that Im mostly even with teams. I mostly find myself going up against FSU and Georgia and they are pretty much the same as it goes for school ratings. Yup, I notice my interest goes up and down when im against FSU

Can somebody start a new dynasty? Like a 2 star dynasty or something.[Edited on August 4, 2011 at 9:07 PM. Reason : this ones fine but it seems like people want to play more(^ and ernie)]
8/4/2011 9:06:57 PM

8/4/2011 9:09:00 PM
You can be in up to like 4. I'm saying I'm enjoying this one enought to want to play in another.[Edited on August 4, 2011 at 9:13 PM. Reason : plus i could play ernie week 1]
8/4/2011 9:12:51 PM
well I can't speak for everyone but I'd assume 1 TWW league is enough, although obviously you're free to join any other leagues

Yeah I'm in one other one and it advances "every other day" but I still end up waiting around.

FSU over Wake 38-15Manuel continues his march towards the anti-Heisman. 1 TD, 2 INT, <200 yds. Thew an interception on the opening drive that gave Wake a 10-yard one-play score. Shut em down for the rest of the game until a garbage time TD and 2PC. I returned to the onside kick to the 1, so that was pretty cool. Four TDs for Thompson, but my run blocking continues to struggle.Hopefully this one counts.
8/4/2011 10:30:18 PM
Can you guys start uploading video highlights from all of your games? Preferably the top 5 plays. I seem to be the only one doing it. Its a really nice feature and looking at pictures for game summaries is way too boring.[Edited on August 4, 2011 at 10:38 PM. Reason : actually ncstate seems to be doing one highlight per game]
8/4/2011 10:35:57 PM
I uploaded the onside kick returnForgot you could do that
8/4/2011 11:08:44 PM
Use all the slots. Its easy to choose just pick the ones you got the highest grades on. I had an A++ play last week. Didn't know you could get 2 plusses.
8/4/2011 11:10:17 PM
No thanks

Clemson is suffering from a major case of deja vu in Starkville after the Tigers defense allows over 550 yds of offense and 48 pts in what can only be described as a good old fashioned ass kicking. Pouring rain and slippery fields had no effect on the Bulldogs but the Clemson QB and receivers were busting ass all over the field. The Tigers score 13 pts in the final 5 min to make the score a slightly more respectable 48-27.Up Next: Clemson will return home and hopes to relieve some anger against Middle Tennessee State after suffering their first loss of the season.
8/5/2011 5:57:17 PM
Ok I'm gonna play VT nowWho's that peeping thru my window?hey nowNobody now
8/5/2011 6:00:34 PM
When are we gonna advance?
8/5/2011 6:33:25 PM
West Fuckin' Virginia takes down VT 31-14 in a game that wasn't as close as the score would indicate. Shawne Alston continued his dominance by rushing for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Geno Smith and Alston teamed up on a option where Smith didn't pitch the ball until he was 40 yards down the field to Alston for the score. Steadman Bailey continued his mastery of the slot with a Wes Welker like 6 catches for 60 yards. The defense held the Hokies to only seven points, as the other scored came via kickoff return.A tough test awaits the Moutaineers next week as they head to Fort Worth to take on TCU.I think everyone's played their game, so feel free to advance.
