Wonderful retorts.

^ Wonderful job deriding people for enjoying something that you don't happen to care for. Clearly, they're the ones with the problem.

I'm fairly criticizing the show, not individuals in this thread. No one here is involved with the making of the show, so it's irrational to take the criticism personally. Besides, many people really enjoy things for the pure entertainment value, which would fall short in a critique.

11/1/2011 2:10:34 PM
^ My mistake. I just get tired of people visiting message board threads solely to criticize things they don't like when it's so much easier to just stop watching it, listening to it, etc.
11/1/2011 2:36:45 PM
i think, with this show in particular, that there is so much promise yet it's just not found the right formula yet. And that leads to a lot of debate among viewers. ]
11/1/2011 2:45:34 PM
Why was the zombie who was hanging legs chewed up? I thought zombies didnt eat each other
11/1/2011 4:00:57 PM
he hung himself before he turned completely
11/1/2011 4:03:47 PM
^^^^clearly someone w/ 14000 posts is here strictly to troll entertainment threadsand cant someone keep watching something hoping it gets better??finally, how interesting would any discussion be if everyone agreed?
11/1/2011 10:09:23 PM
This thread is impeding my ability to enjoy the show. I quit this bitch.
11/2/2011 3:40:44 AM
I certainly hope this show gets better. If I didn't enjoy it, and see it's potential for greatness, there would be no sense in me expressing my thoughts. Many more zombie encounters is not the silver bullet, but it's definitely a start in the right direction.
11/2/2011 8:50:13 AM
I wondered to myself if we're eventually going to see Merle return in the role of a certain someone from the comics... after the farm, that is.
11/2/2011 8:52:51 AM
I'm really enjoying this season!
11/2/2011 10:47:20 AM
^^ i've thought the same thing. it would make sense

I am annoyed that they have yet to put up Episode 2 on their site and Hulu doesn't carry it. I don't have cable at home and don't mind waiting a week or so to see it, but damn, at least post it.
11/2/2011 7:00:28 PM
I definitely look forward to the show but I still find a lot that I don't like about it. Isn't the point of TWW a place to needlessly bitch about things?
11/2/2011 7:26:26 PM
^^^yea i think it was Grantland or AV Club that had a column about how Zombie's might not work well over the long term b/c w/ zombie movies/books/whatever, the end is always the same: zombies win. diff from any other "monster" that is defeatable somehow. that makes it harder to care about the characters over a long series.
11/2/2011 11:40:17 PM
soo slow moving story the last 2 episodes. At the end of each episode I say "That's it?" not in a I want more way but in a wtf nothing happened way. Also felt bad for watching it with my gf cuz she got upset at the death scene. (if you have seen the recent episode you know) I am pretty much desensitized to that stuff especially if I don't care about the character. I really am trying to get into the show. I hope they have some new plot device or something else to move the story along.

ha i signed up. would be cooooooool.
11/3/2011 3:26:08 PM
^^^^Zombies lose in World War Z. Or are you referring to the general concept of zombies in that they are more or less unstoppable
11/4/2011 12:50:47 PM
i mean in "Night of the Living Dead" the zombies are killed off by the end (along with the sole survivor of the house, but that's beside the point)... so humans "won"humans eventually "win" in Shaun of the DeadHumans "win" in 28 days later (eventually, even though it isn't technically a zombie movieso I'm not sure what the point of the "zombies always win" comment is.
11/4/2011 1:41:49 PM
Just a heads up for those that have this set on their DVR, this week's episode isn't categorized as "new" for whatever reason. I had to manually set it to record.
11/4/2011 5:18:08 PM
^Is that just for Time Warner Cable or everywhere?
11/4/2011 5:45:45 PM
I have TWC, so I'm not sure about the others
11/4/2011 5:53:28 PM
I just started watching this show because I normally HATE the zombie genre. YAY! Netflix. I am scurred.[Edited on November 4, 2011 at 10:31 PM. Reason : critical acclaim. ]
11/4/2011 10:31:31 PM
on dish network it is labeled as new, fyi
11/4/2011 10:57:52 PM
Zombies are dumb and uninteresting -- the moron above who wants it to be about zombies has no taste. Surviving an apocalypse is interesting. This show is boring.

SOGGY ZOMBIEthe sounds that fucker was making were freaking horrifying. i will probably have nightmares]
11/6/2011 9:19:28 PM
To be fair, it's the same recycled sound that all the zombies have made in this whole show.
11/6/2011 10:06:21 PM
this one sounded gurgly-er ok?
11/6/2011 10:13:35 PM
No Hell On Wheels thread?Hm
11/6/2011 11:28:22 PM
look harder
11/6/2011 11:34:23 PM
she is fucking preggers, no need to be secretive about it
11/6/2011 11:39:20 PM
I'm so glad that pharmacy seen happened.Getchasome.
11/7/2011 12:08:58 AM
i hope they used protection
11/7/2011 12:37:10 AM
11/7/2011 12:38:13 AM
So what the hell was the point of that well scene?
11/7/2011 10:26:22 AM
that AZN had to have blown his load instantly
11/7/2011 10:32:32 AM
11/7/2011 11:18:49 AM
i had "Hell on Wheels" DVR'ed, and while fast forwarding i saw that AMC was running a scene from next week's show, about a good 30 seconds of something rather important.what the fuck AMC? i purposely don't watch next week's previews because i don't want them to set the tone of the episode for me a week in advance. running a whole scene is some BS. thank god for DVR and the fast forward button.
11/7/2011 2:39:26 PM
^they advertised that several times before hell on wheels came on. they gave you a warning, you just missed it.
11/7/2011 2:49:29 PM
so what is Hershel hiding? the way he phrases things, wants all of them to move on from the farm, and his sinister looks he and his daughter Maggie exchange make me believe he is hiding something.and is it logical to assume that the missing girl was the one hiding out in the pantry in the house Darryl was searching? or someone else we have yet to meet?
11/7/2011 3:00:55 PM
why would you bother pulling the zombie out of the well? you have 5, shoot the fucker and shut the well down.
11/7/2011 3:34:08 PM
i feel the same way about Herschel. he kinds of irritates me with the way he's all, "i'm old and wise and i have an answer for all of your life's questions". this business with Sophia needs to end soon. the story has become quite stale, and it's keeping the plot from progressing. they've devoted what, 4 episodes with this story as a common thread throughout? that's too much, i think. it just doesn't have an element to hold my attention or make me give a shit.^and if it worked, would you really feel confident that the water was safe? i wouldn't touch that shit.]
11/7/2011 3:37:02 PM
exactly, who's gonna test the water? fuck that
